They have all the essentials and still live in the real world where shoppers receive services they pay for, like cashiers and even for people to help you to your car if you need it. Far too many places are dehumanizing every aspect of life by reducing interactions to machinery only (self checkouts, coin counting machines, key making machines...). That doesn't seem to be happening here, so I'm happy to say I'm hometown proud!

was in town from an ohio to yellowstone to back home trip. felt like a trip back in time. small grocery store, low ceilings, friendly locals and employees and prices were decent. will never forget the little things like this on my vacations. please keep it like this! dont ever remodel or change!

The staff here makes me and my service dog feel so welcome and cared about. Everyone is so nice, they sell stamps and bring your groceries to your car. Old school courtesy and service. I love grabbing some groceries here on my way home. Great selection and friendly staff. Great specials and prices.

Best thing about this store is it's 24 hours. Sale prices are mostly good. Standard prices are quite high. Great quality bakery. Beautiful produce. Small store so selection is modest. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. Generally short lines if any. Check store for hours during the pandemic.

Like shopping here. Can get items that I can't get other places. Purchased some great seafood salad from deli dept. Yummy. Check out girl pointed out a product I was going to purchase that was different brand & better quality for less money! She saved me several dollars.

The store is always clean and the floors shiny. The shelves are always stocked neatly and the produce fresh. The staff are friendly and helpful. I don't use the deli often but when I do the selection is fresh and tasty and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The layout of the store is pretty confusing so I've had to go across the store and back instead of just going thru the store in an orderly way. Otherwise it's very clean, very friendly staff, nothing to complain about in that way at all.

Service is good, prices are very high. I can get an entire cart of groceries for what 2 plastic bags cost me here. They will have good specials and their meat department is better than just about any store around. Their produce department is better than what it used to be, but is very limited. They also need a comic book rack, or better yet ( this an idea for them, has nothing to do with their rating)... offer a buyers guide for comic books an related items and advertise the fact that they take comic book subscriptions. I think that could pull in come good biz for them. Try capital comics guys).

I am currently on crutches and was unsure how I would manage to get a few groceries but knew that the staff at the Paxton IGA were always friendly and helpful. The second I walked in they offered me a wheelchair and then took a cart and walked behind me to get everything I needed. Went so far as letting me take the wheelchair to my car and carrying my crutches and groceries out for me. I love shopping local when I can and this just reinforces why we want to maintain our local businesses!

We had a bad experience at our regular grocery store an decided to try Paxton IGA as an alternative and it's my favorite grocery store yet. It's homey and the signs are handwritten. All of their produce was so fresh and they had classics we hadn't seen in years and new products not available elsewhere. The bakery had everything you could need for a birthday on the fly. Then the kid who bagged my purchases asked if he could load my car for me. Just an all around great store and great experience. Thanks Paxton IGA.

Great store it was everything that I remember the local IGA grocery store being great selection from different brand names as well as their own commercial name fair prices large selection of food and the fresh produce was very nice something you normally don't see anymore in a small town grocery store

First and last time shopping here I paid almost 7 dollars for a pound of ground beef when I opened it I found a long black hair in it. When I return it the lady looked at me like I had 5 heads apparently she's fine with hair in her food but I'm not.

I go here for basics, but what happened to the delicious fried chicken? My family loved it. I haven't bought it lately but I did today. It was bland and dry. I will do it myself or go somewhere else.

Well you already know we are in Illinois so we're getting screwed on our groceries but it is not IGA's fault it's just the high taxes they have good customer service here and thanks to inflation the prices keep on rising also excellent employees

I shop at Paxton IGA everyday. The employees are the the BEST !!! The carry out , among careful packing of all groceries is above Excellent , always have what I want and extra sales. The Cashiers are the BEST !!! The Deli is also a Great Team !!! The meat dept, the BEST , a Great Team there ! I can say all names, but I'll be short and say IGA IS EXCELLENT !!! If the men need good snack suggestions, the ladies there give Great suggestions !!! You won't be disappointed !!!

Went there at about 7:30 at night and saw there was a cart full of dairy items on the floor. I used to work in dairy and decided to check the temp on the items by touch. The items were room temperature, which I proceeded to tell a manager about. I walked back to the dairy just to watch both the manager and the employee putting the items on the shelf. Anyone who has worked with refrigerated items knows that when temps are between 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit, bacteria breeds rapidly. This carelessness could potentially harm, or worse, kill someone.
