I like the staff but anymore all I buy there is one of the few things that isn't block by piles of boxes and stocking carts. My gosh this store is a mess. I was going through the Xmas isle tonight but yet again couldn't see anything . One of these days a pile of these boxes on the floor or carts will end up tripping an elderly person or falling on someone. Bad management at its worst. These photos show just how dangerous the isles are. I was about to raise the rating to 4 stars after the store clutter stopped but now it has gone back to being cluttered. I've already tripped over it. Someone is going to get hurt, this is also a fire hazard. Is he would have a hay day with this place.

This store is so damn cluttered. Most of the time you can't get down the aisle because the clerk's have the replacement stock blocking it. The photos shows one such aisle that had at least 4 other stock carts in it. And it's just getting worse. The shelves have become bare, there's clearly not enough staff to manage things. Aweful management

Never been in a worse dollar general in my life. I don't have high expectations, but this store is so jammed packed with boxes and garbage merchandise it makes it impossible to shop.

This store is very out of line... Not clean..a mess... can't see things without moving items and they over charge you..check your receipt. Very nasty- rude manager.

They have to get it together. The store has been in complete disarray for longer than a month now. You can't get your cart around because there are products in the aisles. Some of the aisles you can't get down. It's a mess.The employees are and have always been wonderful and for the most part, friendly.

If you thought the old setup was terrible with boxes and carts all over the store, well count your blessings. Back then we had to fight overstock to get at the items we needed, but at least the store was open. June 9th, was the date the remodel was rescheduled to be complete and the store would be open for business. This did not happen. The store was closed all day June 9th. June 11th, I finally seen the store was open so decided to stop, and I was rendered absolutely speechless at the changes that were made. The floor is stained from construction and dirtier than before the remodel, both the newly installed self checkout registers were not functioning, leaving only a single cashier to ring everyone out, who was also the only employee I seen in the whole store. I was under the impression that the remodel was to improve the store, but perhaps the remodel is not yet complete. June 15th, the store is closed yet again today. If you can make it the extra 15 minutes, then save yourself the hassle and just stop at walmart in Rantoul, or Gibson City has a nice Dollar General that is open and clean every time I have been there. What a joke of a Dollar General.

Store was generally unkept with the aisles full and dirty and many shelves lacking being stocked. Then they hired a new manager and she worked on the store until it was clean and a nice place to shop. Corporate has now gotten rid of her and the store is returning to the mess it was before she was hired.

When lately go in there, they usually have freight in aisles, not all aisles. Don't get me wrong totally understand about freight. A store I use to work in you had to get the freight that was not broken down moved in the backroom, before the store open. It makes it hard at times for customers to get around.

This store is disgusting and nothing put away. They used to be low staffed so I accepted it. They now have a bunch of new people in there who are loud and obnoxious. With 5 people in line with minimal purchases, I waited over 10 minutes and one worker saw us waiting and just walked out for a smoke break. Another worker was standing in the aisle waving a box around just staring off. And when I first walked in they were yelling across the store rudely to each other. It's worth the ten minute drive to another town.

Since when can you not use digital coupons on an item that is on sale. According to employee new manager said no. Not very nice for employee to follow shoppers around the store to tell them that,especially NOT OK to grab an item from a customer and say i'm not selling you that just because she had coupons? i saw that myself .new manager is very disrespectful and rude. time to shop some where else. Paxton is "hometown" friendly, this kind of behavior is not "hometown" friendly...

It has really been cleaned up in there. No longer do you have to worry about carts not getting down the aisles except on very rare occasions right after a new shipment.

Would be a lot better if you was able to get to all the stuff. Most of the time the aisles have unpacked boxes and pallets in the way and at times you can't even walk down an aisle. But the staff are helpful and friendly

Worst dollar general I’ve ever been to! Four employees talking In one of the Isles. Can’t go down three different isles because they are blocked with product on carts. There’s more products in the way then there is on the shelves. One cashier told an older lady to just climb over the carts , as she said she was leaving because she can’t make it through the isles that she needed into. I needed sponges they’re six isles away from dish soap. It’s disorganized and terrible service. Id give it half a star if they’d let me.

The shopping experience here is like navigating a horders house, only to get to check out and find they really dont want to part with the item so they are going to stall on completing the purchase. Want a cart? Too bad thats where all the product goes, just in a cart and clogging up the aisle it was supposed to be on the shelves in. How are you going to have empty shelves, product on the floor of every aisle, and slow check out? Apparently by having 1 person work cashier and the other 2 just watch from the office making occasional appearances to let you know they know you've been standing there for 15 minutes, they just dont care to open another lane, or do their jobs in the slightest.

This store use to be a great store and still could be. Unfortunately anyone who knows dollar general, this store fell victim to corporate sending to much stuff and not having enough employees. Corporate doesn't give the store enough hours to give the employees to get the store where it needs to be. Hopefully the stuff will get cleared up and this store will be nice once again.

This store is a mess. Supply carts sitting full of product everywhere. It never fails whatever I go to shop for I can't get to it because carts sitting in front of what I need or shelves are empty. I have chosen to shop at the Gibson City store because it is clean and shelves stocked. This store needs to shut down or get more employees to work. This is a shame to have this store in Paxton

Use to be a nice neat store but total mess now has been 1 or more yrs. They say they having trouble getting merchandise in but if that the case think it would be easier to keep neat.

I sometimes go to DG up to 6 times a day, always needing something at the last minute. My husband prefers DG Hamburg and hot dogs buns over any other brand. I enjoy the digital coupons, Very Happy to have a DG close by In our 4400 people town, DG is Always busy. Keep up the good work DG team ! You are appreciated !!! Just wish there weren't so many problems when tempature drops, and you don't open.

The store always has tons of boxes in aisles some aisles have so many boxes you can't even get down it. The staff is always nice an friendly just need to get the aisles cleaned

Its always crowded in here.. The employees always seem to not want to be working there but someone has to, right? They overstock on products that take up almost all of the aisles in the store making it nearly impossible to even see a product that youre potentially going to purchase. Something needs to be done to remove the clutter.

The Paxton Dollar General store is a good one. It has friendly and helpful employees, especially Ken tonight. There is a problem with product in the aisles that make it hard to find what you are looking for.

I like shopping at Dollar general. I just think they need to plan better when they build a store. They always seem to run out of room, and need to have carts and racks in the isles.

You get home and make a sandwhich to find you bought a stale loaf of bread, then cant help but wonder if all the fresh ones were sitting in a box of unpacked goods in another isle. Has the fire marshal seen this store?

Normally we enjoy shopping here but today the aisles were so packed full you couldn't even go down two or three aisles to shop. Terrible!

Last place i will ever shop you can't get to any thing . So over crowded with boxes taller then me blocking everything.Update. It has been months since i have called corporate and it still keeps getting worse!!!

They need more workers so the place doesn't look like a warehouse. So you can walk down the isles. The worker was very nice.
