Oh lordComing here was a bit of a mistake. I was at the farmers market nearby and I visited to see what the store was like and I was hopeful. I saw a very messy store, unattractive employees, no one at the cashiers and boxes everywhere.Left empty handed, I hope management changes at this location immediately. There were carts and boxes all in the aisles, making some inaccessible. Someone can have a trip there.

Worse dollar general I ever been to. The employees were rude and rushing to close the store 30 minutes early so they can clean up the store. Employees shouldn’t be closing and locking doors early so they can go home. I did a survey about the bad customer service I received. I was promised a gift card never received it so why bother to say I would get one and never got it. So I see where the poor service comes from.

Horrible Management! Just left the dollar general in PF to purchase Reese Cup Candy Bars for the kids. However, after waiting in line for a long time to purchase, the female manager (African or Jamaican accent) refused to honor the posted prices, she rudely said I'm not honoring the posted prices because the workers keep making mistakes". I asked her to honor the prices, she continued to rudely refuse and disobeyed the bait and switch law. I will never return to this dollar general because the principle of customer 1st is ignored and the management doesn't care that their store is loosing business because of the managers attitude and sloppy store arrangement.

I am very pleased with THIS store. The staff is very friendly and helpful.I've shopped at many DOLLAR GENERAL stores; I find this to be the BEST. Keep up the EXCELLENT WORK staff! It feels good to walk into a store and see it fully stocked. By the way, don't NEGLECT that entrance-way where you guys set out those CLEARANCE items!! LolI am very shocked to see how these stores have graduated to this magnitude, as they've come a long way with their merchandise. LOOK OUT DOLLAR TREE!!

I don't hate the place. But it's supply's are always soi low. Never have what you want. It use ti be so well stock. Wanted to purchase a book to read. The books are located i. The back of the store in a corner that hard to rotate the stand the books are on. But the crossword and coloring books are out in the aisle where the books should be. They seriously need to rethink there stocking ordee.

Friendly and knowledgeable of item location staff. Great prices as well! Nice sales and accepts manufacturer coupons! Also sells tobacco products! Amazing variety considering their size! I bought a twelve pack of socks (six black and six white) for only $5 recently! Also purchased a 2 litre of 7up for $1.25 without having to buy multiple for a sale price! Will also allow you to use their bathroom without a purchase, which came in handy recently due to a flood in mine being repaired at the time! Another convenience is that they try to keep a few bags of ice in the ice cream freezer during the winter so you don't have to go outside to wait to get it!

Dollar general is one of my favorite places to shop for odds and ends and every day general..like laundry needs, cleaning supplies, kitchen cleaning supplies, and not to mention the Snack isle !! I'm usually going down every isle! But now being so close to Christmas the Holiday isle is filled with all kinds of Great things for stocking stuffers!!

Visited this store just about a hour ago. The young man at the register did not hand my bags to me. I had to reach and grab the bag. Unbeknownst to me he plaved my drinks in a separate bag. I have been calling non stop for a hour and they will not answer. II paid for that Gatorade and Pepsi and would like my items. I was heading to work. Someone could have answered the phone. Even big corporations answer the phone.

Very unprofessional! They walk around blasting music on their phones . No ones ever at the register. Bad customer service. It’s like walking into a basement party instead of a store . No one looks presentable, pants saggy , hats on. I almost have to decide which stores are least worst to spend my money at .

on 2 separate occasions i was sold out dated food items. i bought hellmans mayonnaise whose shelf life expired a year prior. Most recently my daughter got a gallon of milk from there. the date was 06/26/20 she bought this on 07/04/20. please check the dates on all products.

Close place when in need of something in a hurry. However ita a 50/50 chance if this store has it in stock and you don't mind digging for it. The personnel are usually nice. Be advised the run out of bags & their card readers malfunction from time to time.

The store is always closing early ...the management is horrible and it need to be cleaned out...how is every week it's closing because they either can only take cash or they can only take debit ..never both.. ridiculous... corporate needs to close this store it's a waste of money and customers time..stuff is never stocked right..smh poor excuse for a store

Why is it so hard to return items? I purchased on a Saturday sale $5.00 off $25.00, I purchased over $50 worth of merchandise before using any coupons. The air wick special for last week 10/6/19 was buy one get the second one free the digital coupon was selected but did not come off the receipt. So I was returning both of them and Tide pods that was $2 off coupon ( I may have used already to make purchase) price $0.95. the staff at the 362 West Lincoln highway Chicago heights Illinois 60411 were very rude. Cashier made the comment to elude to the fact once I make sure I want the item before I leave the store, as if I don't have a right to return anything if I don't want it. That's my right. The cashier system is ancient and their receipts are complicated. Dollar General does so much business in Black, low income and poverty stricken communities your system should not be so ancient that makes the return process so difficult. I was insulted by the fact that they thought I was trying to get over on Dollar General. I'm a couponer I purchase things that my family can use at discounted prices if I'm unable to get that discounted price, I'm returning it because those dollars can be used for something else. Your employees should understand and learn how to speak to customers who come in to spend their hard-earned money. No matter what the reason for the return the return was in good condition and It was made in good faith. Then security come over the speaker to say that they were monitoring the store!!! I was given a refund that was probably incorrect in favor of DG, but this process should not result in staff being angry, upset or irritated that they have to return funds to a customer. I will think twice before visiting DG in the future.

S/O to My neighborhood Dollar General. Going into the store is like walking in the bar on an episode of Cheers, "Where everybody knows Your name" All the staff are very helpful and seems to remember you. The store is always neat; well maybe not the clearance section, but for the most part, one of the best Dollar General in this area.

The store was clean and the staff was friendly but I'm not sure when Dollar General prices became equal to that of other regular stores. For the convenience sure I would shop here but not for the price. No cheaper than going to a regular grocery store

Nice staff and clean but the only reason I give 3 stars is because everytime I go in I can never grab toliet paper or paper towels they have carts all in the back I cant even grab what I need they have carts full of boxes like common you dont need so many carts in one aisle I can never get through either which is unproffesional you can stock at the end or early in the day not when customers are coming in since it's such a small store people like to go in and out and that's it theres a reason why we dont like walmart because walmart takes forever with long lines of customers by the registers. This needs to be improved.

The manager in the Park Forest location store is very rude and she has no customer service skills at all. She removed the sale tag from an item and told me that it was never on sale! I am very frugal, I look for sales everywhere. She argued with me that the item was never on sale. I stood in the isle for twenty minutes debating on the item's price. So I knew the item was on sale!! I asked for my money back while she stood behind the counter telling me that I was wrong in a sarcastic way!

For a "dollar store"? It iznt all that cheap. So? Shop around and do not assume that because it s a dollar store they will be the cheapest. In fact? Some of their merchandise is more expensive than WalMart. Like name brand cat litter.

Have many things at a good price.Just bought 20 Family Christmas cards $1 and some 50cents apiece.Other places 3-4 dollars apiece. Christmas candy,and wrapping paper all quality and priced low.

The store has a lot of merchandise that will catch your eye as you walk down the isles, so you may go in for a quick drink or a bite to eat but you will walk out with More.
