I believe in good customer service and expect to be treated well when I go to the trouble of shopping small business. I don't mind paying a little more to support them but I won't ever go back there & pay more only to be treated poorly. It was obvious to me that the cashier & manager don't care how rude they are and don't care if you ever come back. Better customer experience at a big box store. Sad

I went in to have my spare car keys cut but they refused because they didn't order the fob.I didn't need fob programming, just the keys cut. "Their policy".Ended up going to the dealer instead, cost me $20 at GMC.

Just finished my 5th trip to Ace Hardware in Palos in two weeks. Making improvements to our new house down the block and this is by far the best one I’ve ever been too. Great staff and selections! Last trip was for fireplace replacement parts, they had everything I needed and wood to boot!

Truly the old-fashioned hardware store with items you'd expect to see there - along with many little gift ideas, greeting cards, and cute decorative items for the house and garden. The friendly staff always is willing to assist in finding items on your list. A neighborhood gem! AWESOME SERVICE!

I have been here 3 times and my first experience wasn't the best as i felt like I was an inconvenience to ask for help but not bad enough to not return. My second and third time visiting was MUCH more pleasant than the first. They are very helpful and really friendly. Its close to my neighborhood so I will continue to return to support small business!

Great service. Someone greets you when you enter and offers to assist you. Where else does that happen anymore? The best thing is that they are actually knowledgeable about what you ask them. If they are not they will find another person there that is.

Great service. Everytime I come in staff is always very helpful. Once I had to order something and I could not do it at home. I went to the store, they put an order for me and called when it was there ready to be picked up. That simple!

Terrible help and customer service. This store was no help at all and truly did not care about their customers. I ordered online with the website stating my order would be ready as soon as today, two days later my order has not been prepared or ready, so of course I call and ask if it will be ready soon or if I can come take it off the shelf. With no help over the phone, they tell me it is processing and to be patient, of course I have been patient I have waited two days already. So then I decide to just go into the store and take it off the shelf, and ask to process the order and mark as picked up. They tell me I have to pay for it again and go online to get a refund when I am at the exact store I payed to pick it up at. They offered me no help and did not even try to fix my problem or even say sorry for the wait. Bob was the manager on duty and he was no help and rude. I truly just wanted an easy quick pickup and now I have to go online and get a refund after paying twice for one product, I hope Bob learns more about how easy it could have been and change his practices, useless manager for customer service.

Greeted upon entry. Needed a propane exchange and cashier acknowledged. Did my shopping with good assistance from floor man. Didn't have sale items in stock (total bummer). When checking out, cashier forgot my propane exchange and had to do a second purchase. I think this is so you don't get coupons based on your purchases. Otherwise a pleasant store except for the cashiers. Literally, the cashiers are the worst of the 7 different Ace Hardware I frequent.

I shop here maybe a few times a year but have always experienced helpful staff when looking for items I need. It's not real close to where I live. Lowes, or should I say 'Highs', is closer to me, but in the 14 years I have lived in Orland Park there has only been one instance that an employee has sought to help me and that's the reason I end up going to Ace in Palos on 127th Street.
