I’ve been shopping here for years and i don’t know what has happened lately but it seems that everything i want to buy expires within 2 days if not already expired. Also prices are insane. Shop at Aldi much better and not expired stuff on the shelves

Very small selection of fresh produce & fresh meat. Isles are always cluttered with too many displays and random end caps, making it very unpleasant to navigate. I would spend more money here, but the shopping experience is so bad, all I ever want to do is get in and out. So even though this store is only a few blocks away, we choose to do our bigger grocery runs elsewhere. We only use this Jewel for emergency items.

This is my neighborhood Jewel and I've never had any problems. People are friendly and everything is usually in stock. However, last night when I went to check out, they have a survey on the chip machine. I usually skip it but the cashier Lorena said don't skip it and she entered all top numbers for the survey. She entered all 10 throughout the entire survey! Would you recommend this store, 10, I would. How is the service, 10, excellent. Those are NOT my answers. I don't like the dishonesty in this. I've seen her do it to ALL the clients. She just takes over and hit 10, 10, 10. I feel she is putting in for EVERYONE which are lies.Those are NOT my answers. Now I will give the store 1's just to compensate the dishonesty of the cashier's answers even if they deserve a 10.

This review is for the receiving department, especially for an employee named Laura. She was extremely rude, condescending, and super unprofessional. I understand I am not a shopping customer but your delivery drivers are key to your operation, and purposefully trying to make their job harder is NOT good business.As I pulled up to this jewel receiving door, the door was opened by Laura. I asked politely if I can use a U-cart, “No, you’re supposed to bring your own cart.” Her response was rude, but I completely understand her frustration and regardless it is my responsibility to bring my product inside. There was a Pepsi driver in the dock, and I patiently waited for the gentleman to finish his delivery, so I can take his dock.I buzz the receiving door again and let Laura know I parked in the dock door to unload my product since I didn’t have a cart. She was not too happy about me using “HER DOCK”, as if Laura is a majority stakeholder in the Albertsons company. She yells and says “THE DOCK IS FOR JEWEL DRIVERS ONLY!” To which I replied calmly, “I just seen a Pepsi driver leave from the door?” “OH BUT THATS PEPSI, WE DONT NEED TO LET YOU USE THE DOCK. IM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU.” She was the one that started this argument. Anyway at this point, I am not even paying attention to her because I can see why she works in the back away from customers. As I am counting my product with her trainee(I’m guessing), Laura is bickering to her manager or whoever about me and how I am being such an inconvenience. On top of all this unprofessionalism, while I am counting my product, she grabs my invoice paper and drops it from the air, so I can pick it up on from the floor.I deliver to 10’s of Jewel Osco’s around Chicagoland and I was never greeted/treated with this much hostility. She is an embarrassment to Jewel.

terrible customer service, Frisca was very unpleasant and rude from her dirty looks to her lack of communication. I greeted her and she responded with a look of annoyance. She didn’t greet me or the customers before me and would throw our bags to the side expecting us to grab the receipt from the machine ourselves. Her distasteful attitude is completely and utterly unprofessional. Get your staff together Jewel Osco.

I love this Jewel. Ever since the pandemic, I usually get most of my groceries through pick up. I've used them 2 times so far and now this is my go to Jewel. They called me this morning for my pick up order to substitute an item. The yogurt I initially bought was a lot cheaper but Christina at jewel was able to keep the price for what I initially bought the yogurt that they didn't have. She didn't have to do that but it's the little things that make a huge difference. The employees are super friendly and the store inside is nice and clean.

Big clean grocery store. Super friendly staff. I bumped it from four stars to five. I'm an old curmudgeon... I really dislike self-checkout (I'm trying to be polite in phrasing that!!). The couple Jewels that I go to at least give you the option to go to a cashier. And the cashier, tho busy, couldn't have been nicer. Again, maybe I'm an old curmudgeon but I'm a people person, and nice staff adds to a good shopping experience that equates to customer loyalty. I hope these stores figure that out!! Jewel, thank you. Oh- and I was 10 minutes after the deli closing but the lady still took care of me. Just sayin'. Nice.

Today was a nightmare. I will be shopping at Fairplay so will my family after what happened to me is unforgivable. The bagger has behavior issues and shouldn't be allowed up front working with customers. I asked for double plastic and he throw some of my groceries in the cart I said your being arrogant and he literally snapped got in my face screaming at me about him being arrogant. I did talk to a manager about this . Hopefully something happens to fix this issue

Is there a competition between employees on who can be more ignorant? The red head lady behind the service desk only wanted to give me two tiny pieces of velcro for my Ipass. Does it come out of your pay check? Maybe you can give me the other two pieces so I can put it on my windshield properly. And don't roll your eyes at me. ..I had my hand pushed out of the way reaching for a bag of bagels because it was more important for the worker who came flying around the corner with his little cart to stock a shelf. Y'all are nuts and your prices are too high to be that damn ignorant.

Wow, no wonder they can't keep anyone staffed , just saw the head honcho screaming at the top of hislungs his employees. Not the first time I've heard them talk awfully to their staff either and even throw things in a rage. No one seems happy there , I wouldn't let my kids work in such an environment. I guess I'll shop elsewhere.

Store is nice, and close for me to take mom. But I have to mention the checkout area. Very narrow and short area by checkout and difficult get by to get to other aisles and hard to check out during busy times. Large self check was empty.

I love that you can go very early so pretty good hours of operation. Bakery section could use a little work where the donuts are behind the glass because there are a lot of gnats flying around last time I went. Great customer service.

Have not had any issues with this chain so far. I love the deals and I never have any issues with lines. It has everything we could ever need and they are open till late unlike other competitors. Got a membership with this chain and I am loving it all so far.

It's jewel. Workers with huge carts in the way, workers taking up entire aisles to unload boxes and get mad when you the customer ask them to hand you an item they are standing in front of blocking said item. Gotta love the new generation of customer non service.

Ordered chicken catering for Sunday for my daughters birthday. We rented a space for three hours. We made the food to be ready at 1 so it would be hot and ready for guests. My husband picked up the order and they had 50 out of the 150 pcs for him. They forgot about the additional 100 pcs. Then they only gave us 10$ off when we had to pay for an additional hour at rental so people could actually eat since it was an HOUR late. Terrible customer service.

They had different coffee drinks which was so nice . Never been to a breakfast restaurant that didn't just have hot coffee. It was a nice change. I got banana nut French toast and it was served with heated up syrup. Really nice restaurant took that extra step

Worst Jewel in area Workers are not helpful Shelves don’t get restocked. Spend way to much time looking for advertised items and then u r told they don’t have them. Ridiculous

Have been here many times and have been very impressed! This visit today left us very unhappy and thinking of not going back. Many times, at other jewels, we have asked the butcher if he could cut us 2 pork chops with bone in at approximately 2 1/2 inches think. They say no problem and get them for us. This butcher told us, flat out, NO! There are chops out there, take two of them. I said, yes but I need them to be 2 1/2 in. for grill. His response was, I don't know what to tell you then! I just don't understand why other butchers at jewel have been so helpful and caring and this butcher was so rude.

Soup was out of date, muffins I wanted were out of stock, fresh fish did not look good but it didn't matter cause there was no one to wait on me, checker told me they couldn't do anything about the out of code soup because it was another department in charge. I will not be back soon. Only the deli worker was courteous and helpful.

It's insulting to walk into the store at 12 noon on a Monday when staff knows people are coming for the chicken. To have an old bone dry batch of grilled chicken for paying customers is unacceptable. To even pass it off as freshly made the day of is the insulting part! Do better!

This jewel is one of the best locations that I've been to. The deli department and the bakery department are top-notch. The Just for U savings offers very good deals each week. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is easy to navigate and is very clean. They are doing a great job with social distance thing and keeping their store safe to shop at.

The store was beautiful clean and the employees were very friendly and service was great. The produce was fresh and I had no problem finding what I needed. I would like to compliment the manager Johnathan the cashier Christopher and the bagger Matt for such wonderful service. I will be coming back. Love this place..

The store was stocked well, i was able to find everything i wanted well without difficult. My issue with store was checking out, they only had 2 manned registered open so i decided since i only had about 10 items to self checkout. At the same time i walked up to the self checkout are another person came up to self checkout but i issue was the person who was to monitor the self checkout area stood about 10 feet from me and solely focused on me and my purchase, as if i were going to not pay for my items. I would request Jewel's to pull the video footage.
