An incredible place for all things rugs. Amazing selection of modern, contemporary ,transitional and traditional patterns and all sizes.It is like walking into a rug museum. Their rugs are of amazing quality and better than any places we have been to.Walking into this place, if you appreciate rugs, you will quickly notice the pieces, some museum quality. They also do repair and restorations.Ali the owner is a patient humble person and happy to show you all the rugs till you find what you are looking for.They also allowed us to take home 3 so we could decide which one worked in our space. We did this ourselves, but they also offered to bring the rugs to your home and take back what doesn't work.This is the place I will go from here on for any and all rug purchases.

We just bought an absolutely beautiful hand knotted wool rug for our hallway! It feels so soft and luxurious and is durable enough to withstand our active dog.Our salesperson was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He showed us a number of rugs and helped us find the colors and patterns that fit our decor. This rug is made to last many, many years; my grandchildren will thank me!RugPort is the best place to buy your rugs !

We looked all over for a nice area rug for our basement and had no luck at all. Rugport is literally in our neighborhood so we went to see what they had to offer! We were so pleased at the selection and the prices. If you want a great quality rug, this is where I would go again and have recommended them to everyone. Great sales staff and unbelievable service. Rugport is amazing - They have multiple rugs to choose from. They recently restored and cleaned my Persian rug plus took a lot of care, picking out another rug for my sunporch. They also hand-delivered another rug for my foyer to make sure I liked it. Their customer service is amazing and I will not hesitate to buy another rug from them. So glad I went there.

Wow! Olde-World quality and customer service are alive and well at Rugport, Palatine ... and I'm here for it! Not only did I purchase a beautiful, oriental wool rug, but I had the good fortune to meet Amir and Mr. Moradi who both worked with me to ensure my needs were met and to see the purchase through.It is rare that my expectations are exceeded, but I am grateful to say that this is the case in my first-hand experience at Rugport.Should I be in the market to buy another fine quality rug in the future, I will not hesitate to return to Rugport. There are many places to go for an oriental rug but we *only* bring our carpets to Rugport. They treat us with integrity, honesty and give us sound advice. We've gotten rugs cleaned, restored and appraised (like the one you see in the photo). We trust them not to oversell us their services or lead us down the wrong path. Yesterday we brought another three carpets to them, all with a variety of needs and they assessed them like the knowledgeable professionals they re. We have recently purchased multiple rugs at Rugport with no regrets. The gentleman who helped us make our selections was Amir. He was not only knowledgeable but extremely patient with our decision making.Rugport is a huge warehouse with a variety of rugs. Amir made it easy for us to navigate the showroom. He offered same day delivery which excited us as we needed oriental rugs to cover some of our hardwood floors.When I wasn’t happy with a Persian rug (I had originally selected), he replaced it quickly with something I liked more.We also purchased 2 more rugs. I absolutely loved the 5 x 7 that sits in our foyer. I am waiting patiently for Amir to find its “twin”, but larger, for our dining room area.I cannot say enough for Amir’s positive attitude. He truly cares about his customers.

This company sells exceptional, unique oriental and Persian rugs at reasonable prices. More importantly, they stand behind you. I had a situation (completed unrelated to the rug, the price or buying experience) over one year after my purchase. They came up with a creative solution to my situation when they had absolutely no need to. They are honest, of high character and integrity, and knowledgeable. I am extremely pleased with my rug and hope to buy from them again in the future. You won’t be disappointed!

2/21/2021 - While my wife and I have not YET made our purchase, when our furniture arrives, we will most certainly buy our areas rugs from Rugport. On our initial visit (just to see what Rugport offered), Alex took more than ample time with us to answer our questions, offer valuable advice, and show us an incredible range of spectacular options (without a hint of pressure). If you're looking for beautiful, fairly-priced high-quality rugs, Rugport will NOT disappoint. (PS: I almost never write reviews, but when someone presents themselves as professionally as does Alex, I can't keep it to myself.)

I have known these guys since they opened decades ago. My oldest son grew up looking at their rugs and still has a couple ( he’s now 35). I would bring him in and they would teach him about rugs. If you need an investment in art because that’s what many of them are, please do yourself a favor and go visit them. They are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Houshi and Ali know more about rugs than you can imagine. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

I can't say enough kind words for Mr. Houshy who is the owner of this outstanding business. I came from out of state only to visit this store and had limited time. Mr. Houshy sent photos ahead of my visit and planned to meet me. While he was also in a hurry to leave town, our time overlapped and he ensured I got what I came to find. I had searched at many mainstream retail and small family businesses for 2 years. You cannot beat the service, handmade quality, selection of traditional and contemporary rugs, and price. Mr. Houshy is extremely knowledgable, knows his inventory, and is honest, kind, and overly generous. I was able to purchase 3 rugs within my budget in the short time I was there and have not an ounce of buyers remorse 3 months later. He even mailed the rug pads to me. The man who runs the store (don’t know his name) was so unbelievably kind to make suggestions, provide moth balls and wrap my rug for storage at no cost! He could have encouraged me to pay for storage at his facility but talked me out of that to save money. I am so happy I stopped in with my 150 year old Turkish rug!

They are amazing, honest, and knowledgeable! They tried to fix damage to a rug I bought somewhere else. Even after picking up the rug, trying to fix it, and delivering the rug they DID NOT CHARGE me because they knew it really couldn’t be fixed. They are awesome!
