Let me start this off with saying I never complain or post on social media. I prefer to handle situations directly and give businesses the opportunity to rectify situations.I had the absolute worst experience with Shampooch Groomers in Ottawa. I brought my 2 dogs in for a bath and furminator treatment. I received a call that they were done and that they were $80 each. This is $50 more than I have been paying since bringing them there. I asked about it on the phone and the girl was very short with me. When picking them up the owner asked if I wanted a receipt and I asked about the prices and said I wish I had been told that they were raising the prices when I scheduled my appointment or even when I dropped them off. She rudely explained that they’re a lot of work and it’s comparable to other places. She then stated that she no longer wanted to groom them. when I told her it was the price I paid at another groomer... she goes “just pay whatever you want” and walked inside. Another girl brought the dogs out and I made the check out for what I had been paying previously. She came out and yelled at me for not “meeting her halfway” and I explained that how rude she was,her lack of transparency, and that she was refusing to groom the dogs anymore made me choose to pay that. I explained that had I been notified that the prices went up, I wouldn’t have an issue. I get my dogs in the car and realize my males nails are bleeding. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS THERE! I have never been spoken to that way in my life and I am completely appalled at how this entire situation was handled.

We just moved into the area, took our Minuture Snchauzer for her cut and bath. In the 5 years of her life, it was the best cut she has ever had. We will go back again and again.

Dropped my Lab off at 9am and was told be done by 12. Didn’t hear anything till 2 saying he was done. Never got a phone call saying they where running late. Lack of communication. Tried called multiple time and went right to answering machine. When picking up we asked what took so long they replied back with we had 14 dogs with 3 workers. Need to have a better scheduled planned out.

Great service!! After being turned down by 2 other groomers in the area we were told to try here... Apparently have a breed of dog that is difficult to shave and luckily she is familiar with the breed, and knows how the coat works. My pup is so happy when she comes out.It's so have been using this groomer for 3 yrs now and won't leave.

This was the first time using Shampooch Pet Grooming for my German Shepherd. This place was awesome, the staff and owner was great with my baby girl. She was calm, cleaned and smelled nice. We will absolutely be going back!

If you care nothing about your pet, take it to this hole in the wall, dump!! Filthy and smelly! They were not only abusive to my miniature poodle, they cut him badly while cutting most of his hair uneven and completely off! I was outraged when I went to pick him up, and the owner, Jackie...was more upset that they had been caught and confronted then she was by the fact of what they had done wrong! She had the audacity to tell me to find another groomer! I had already made that decision! This place is run by 3 family members and no one is going to report the other one! Jackie called the police on me for asking for a refund! Who does that?? She is an abusive horrid person who thinks that because she can work a clipper and a pair of scissors, that means she knows what she is doing!I’m sure that “her” clientele believe that they have a great groomer. Homeless people think McDonalds is a fancy restaurant also!

This woman and her “cash only” business, should be closed down! What a racket! Clients they can abuse and are not able to complain! Tax free cash money and a staff that is made up of your family! Good reviews given by family and friends and soon people and animals that she has abused will be forgotten!DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR PET TO ANY OF THESE WOMAN!!They kept my little 9 lbs baby in the back until I paid and tipped, them brought him out all cut to hell, flesh included! How cruel can people get!? When we complained she called the police like we are common criminals and even though the police officer was very nice, this had my wife in tears! Horrid people that are getting by with hurting animals and making the pet parents pay for it!!

I brought my German shepherd in for a bath and grooming, and when I picked her up she looked amazing!!! They did an excellent job!! Highly recommend and I will bring her back again!!

I took my small dog to have his nails clipped . I got in right away and they did a great job on his nails I will be going back for sure very friendly and knowledgeable...

I haven’t been here but after reading the abuse reviews I will never try this place. My dog deserves way better treatment than a smelly rundown abuse horror show. Thank you to those who told their truth about this place, I will never go here.
