Brought 2 newspapers for professional framing (both 10+ years old with heavy creases) and could not be more impressed with the quality of work. My pieces were treated as if they were their own, and came out even better than I could have imagined (creases are hardly noticeable which I thought to be impossible). If you have artwork to frame trust these wonderful folks!

This store is such a gem! I love that they don’t forget about the kitties and have cat toys and gifts as well as things for dogs. I also love that their clothing items are size inclusive and go up to a 3x. The ladies there are so nice. I can’t say enough good things about them

This is a first rate gift shop with all handmade items. Lots and lots of great gift ideas all tastefully displayed in a wonderful and completely restored space. We went in to have some pictures custom framed. Hank, one of the owners, is a perfectionist and was super helpful. We’ll be back.

Outstanding gift shop! Very friendly staff.There was a minor issue with a product I bought and the staff went above and beyond to make up for it. If you need a gift, they have so many options for pets, people, babies, etc. Very pleased, will be going back :)

Had our family portrait framed here & they were amazing !!! Took time to really help us decide the best combination for a timeless look. Such a cute & perfect addition to Ottawa! The shop has SO MANY great gift ideas. I guarantee that you would be able to find something for someone. Something cool they do is offer is creating a gift box!! You find items around the store and they assemble it for you in a cute box all prettied up! It is the perfect way to make a care package, personalized gift, or make a themed gift box! They have items for babies, new moms, people who love yummy treats, lots of cute jewelry, ornaments, dog lovers & for the fur babies. So much! & they have the cutest shop mascots in store!

Lots of unique gifts with a good variety. We went in for a greeting card and ended up also getting a gift for my niece and some chocolates for us. We loved getting to meet the sweet shop dogs -- and the owners were pretty friendly too.

Cute little shop! Kind wonderful people run and own it. I was welcomed with smile and furry friends. Carolyn was just sweet and a inviting women. I totally recommend you go visit this charming place. Love it!

Hank and Caroline, the owners of Heartland By Hand, are the kindest, most generous people you would want to meet. I had a tapestry that needed reframing, and from start to finish they both helped me select just the right frame for my tapestry and made suggestions that only enhanced my tapestry. Hank cleaned it and, all I can say, is that I was blown away by how much better the tapestry looked than I even imagined. Everyone who sees it thinks it's a very expensive heirloom. I can be a pretty indecisive person but Hank and Caroline's patience and suggestions made the whole process easy. The store, by the way, is fun and filled with all kinds of unique and wonderful items that you won't find elsewhere. Stop in and see them. You won't be disapoointed.
