My kids love our weekly trip to check out the animals and critters, getting extra excited when there are new furry faces to look at. Reminds me of when I was a kid and our family would visit Noah's Ark in the Fox Valley Mall.The staff is friendly and lenient with our chaos, the other customers are happy to let us pet their dogs, and overall the store is well kept.We haven't bought a darn thing, but it's a fun place to hang out between wrestling and baseball practices. See you in the aisles.

A few years back, my then-10 yr old decided he wanted a hamster. We bought him one from here. A week later, the hamster was mauled by our dog 😥. (See review of the Oswego animal hospital) We went back for another hamster. A few days later, the new hamster got sick and died 😢. We took it back and they gave us a replacement. (Yes, you have to bring the corpse back. ) The replacement got sick 😭. We exchanged it. It died 😭😭😭. In sum, we had 4 hamsters: 1 was murdered by the dog, and the other three got mysteriously ill. That was the end of us being hamster owners.What does this have to do with PetSmart? Nothing. It's just an interesting story.The PetSmart is fine. Not terrible. Not great. Fine.

They will refuse to sell you any pets if u don’t buy there approved size tank or cage even tho they sell a variety of sizes with pictures of the specific animals on the box indicating that it may be used for that specific breed then they tell you no you have to buy a larger more expensive cage or they will not sell you the animal! Has happened to me now 3 different times at 2 different stores!

Do not come here if you have a pet snake, they do not stock their frozen rats. I've come on different days for weeks because it's the closest pet store and they never have large rats available. (And they're cheaper at Petco)

This location i always have a positive experience, Most of the time I do online order walk in the store to pick it up. However I wish they would be a little faster to get online orders ready. Been times where it’s been a 2 hour long.

Nothing but great experiences here. Yesterday we purchased a fish tank that unfortunately was missing the filter. I called mainly just to check that it was supposed to come with a filter but Carolyn ( I'm pretty sure was her name) was extremely nice and caring enough to give us a 3 pack of filters for free. I can definitely recommend this location for their selection of products and above and beyond customer service.

I went in today confused and lost on what I should feed my sick Chihuahua whom has a heart minor unfortunately but my vet told me I should get her wet puppy food. We went in today not knowing a single thing about puppy food the manager Vanessa took the time out of her day to explain every wet puppy dog food there was, she not only explained every benefit of each and every dog food she took 30 minutes to speak to us and help us out I definitely appreciate the manager Vanessa she is more understanding and knowledgeable than the yorkville location I will most definitely be coming back to this store props to Vanessa.

Nulo is the best dog food I've tried. it's very hard to find good brands because a simple "why is ___ dog food bad" and ____ dog food good" search is all biased opinions without real facts. and leads people to be misinformed. Nulo has been great and my dog has very healthy weight, also he sheds way less than he used to with name brand products. great store

Luisa is terrible at grooming. I asked to take half inch off, and make head circle ish and she took everything off. Don’t recommend her at all. It’s better to go to your pet clinic and get grooming there if they offer than here. When you try to explain to them how you want you, they only pretend to listen. It doesn’t seem like an inch was taken off and the head is circled.

We brought our 1 year old lab mix to get groomed for the first time for some puppy pampering. I was a bit nervous since she is a very high anxiety pup, and very afraid of loud noises. I talked to the groomer during the check in process (very quick and easy process) to explain my concerns, and she was able to accommodate Spuds needs during her grooming session. Our pup had so much fun, I was very impressed how she left her grooming session. Her grooming was done very well, and the groomers even gave us feedback as first time dog owners that we were cleaning her ears well and trimming her nails right. Overall, we had a great experience and plan to go again in the near future primarily due to the amazing customer service we were given throughout the entire time we were at the store. We even bought some treats on the way out for our good girl.

I just came back from picking up prescription dog food for my diabetic dog. There was no food on the shelf, but one of the employees (possibly a manager/had a beard) spent 15 minutes digging to the bottom of a pallet so I could have food for my pup tomorrow. All with a bright demeanor as well, which I know can be tough during the busy holiday season. My pup thanks you 🐶🐶🐶

Very helpful staff. We came here to do a meet and greet for our guinea pig so she could meet a new friend. They let us use the dog hotel area to have a quiet space for them to meet. The staff was nice and a vet tech came to help us when we had questions. The store was clean and organized and had clean bathrooms. They had lots of items on sale and a big selection as well. Overall, this is a good store for your pet needs.

I took my shihtzu/ chihuahua mix in for a bath and hair cut by EMMA she clearly doesn’t know what she’s doing she cut him to low and spots everywhere, she cut his ear and didn’t properly cut around his face, he didn’t smell fresh and on top of that he came home with fleas, my dog is an in house dog… I will never bring him to the oswego grooming salon again… better hope I don’t sue for this messy job she did

Previously I had no issues with Pet smart grooming in Oswego. However I witnessed Luisa one of the groomers handling a dog extremely rough. I informed the pet parent and won't be bringing my dog back. I have never had this issue with any other groomer here so it is very discouraging to see this.

Everybody is always so sweet when I bring my pup in. The staff genuinely love animals and make a point to ask if they can say hello to my dog before greeting him. I appreciate the respect and knowledge and my pup loves the attention he gets. The options are great and there are always sales as well.

Dear Petsmart employee, if someone places an online order and it is over 40 cans of food, maybe, just maybe consider dividing the cans up between two bags. As much as I love the soothing sound of the paper bag tearing open, and chasing rolling cans underneath my cars, I’d much prefer basic entry level common sense on your part. Do better please

Sent 2 standard poodles in for grooming and brought back a weimaraner/greyhound and a gremlin... Easily the worst hack job I have seen since my sister put a 2 qt bowl on my head and used kindergarten scissors!

It’s very friendly neighborhood pet shop. We’ve used their day camp services numerous times and always would also pick up food and treats from here. People here especially the ones at the pet hotel are very friendly. The products they carry varies from affordable brands to pretty nice quality high-end treats. Although I do notice the prices in store are more expensive than online, but we still keep going there because it’s more like a hangout spot for my dog and they always open late, it’s a perfect place to go for walks at night too.

This is what happened there, I have my puppy for grooming and Jenna cat her puppies ear. Looks like they torture dogs there. Don’t leave your dog in petsmart, it’s horror they do force the dogs to do thinks. I wish to give zero starts but no option.and u can see picture befor and after. She’s terrible in grooming.

This is hard for me to say but THIS STORE IS AMAZING!!! I feel like part of the PetSmart family. My dog Echo has taken training classes here and this is the only place I will let groom her. The staff is friendly and just all around AWESOME!

Never any issues here. Pet Grooming is AWESOME, staff is friendly, happy and Great. Prices and discounts are just as great. Our dog Dillon, just loves his visits here because he always gets a surprise toy for his journey.
