first of all I was an employee here for about 11 months and this store is absolutely disgusting. The managers are rude. Tammy is the worst person I have ever had the privilege to work with. She in incompetent, rude, nasty, and disrespectful. She constantly verbally assaults us, swearing at us, yelling at us, and degrades us and she gets way with it because she is a manager. The store manager Bob is lazy. Never once did he help us when we needed help in our drive up and go shopping department. He always sent someone who was never trained or someone who had no clue at all as to what they were doing. The managers up front are rude and distasteful. And the Chefs kitchen staff constantly complain and bully the drive up and go department. I do not recommend working here it was a horrible experience. They overwork you for very little pay.

I normally have a great experience at this jewel. However, today was not one of those days. This morning I checked out and the order was all mistaken and not priced right. I told the checker and he could have cared less....said it was all correct. I went to customer service and they corrected it after 15 minutes or so. Then, at 4.30 I went back to get some deli chicken for supper. There was no chicken of any sort. They said it'd be ready in 40 or 50 minutes. I left. Not happy with my day at jewel today.

This location is completely mismanaged. From the lack of cart returns, to baskets not being available at every door to only have 4 total self check out lanes. Get ready to wait in line to check yourself out longer than the time spent actually shopping in the store. There are no, none, zero express lanes, so be prepared to sit in line as you watch 4 people with overflowing carts check themselves out as the line grows and grows down the adjacent aisle. The store needs to either double the amount of self checkout lanes or dedicate 2 of the existing 4 to express lanes. Go to this store anytime after 3 PM and be prepared to wait on top of paying a premium to shop here. It’s absurd and can be fixed sooo easily. Lean Six Sigma training anyone? Geesh.

Very clean, great liquor selection and high quality produce that could be more affordable. They have a clearance section in the automotive aisle that feature some bargains.Their chef's kitchen chicken is delicious and a bargain. They also have a chicken noodle soup that is great when you're coming down with a cold.

Store is well stocked and kept clean. Lines usually aren't too bad which is also nice. Good selection in the liquor section also. Nice variety of stuff on endcaps to find those all important items that you had no intention of buying because it wasn't on your shopping list, but you figure, oooh that looks tasty and in the cart it goes!2023 Update:Still a nice clean and well stocked store. I've noticed longer check out lines than in the past, but that seems to be a common problem at a lot of stores these days.2023 Update 2:Great selection of ice creams which is what we stopped in for.2024 Update:Still a great store. Well stocked and typically has whatever I happened to be shopping for.

Came in to get formula with my brother his lady and our kids.. The two ladies working customer service around 12pm were so fake and rude. The first lady with the blond hair and blue shirt was cool until the old lady with the reddish black hair and black shirt came up to help. At first I asked for five cans and the lady was going to give it to me but I had to check out first. So we finished shopping came back over there. My mom had our cart of groceries which we didn’t expect her to pay for. We told the ladies that she was in one of the lanes checking out but when we got there she paid for our stuff so we had to go back to the customer service area. When they got there they were talking under there breath as if I couldn’t hear them and I asked them to say it louder so we can all hear it might as well. I felt there judgment and animosity when all we did was ask for some formula. The old lady with the red hair was now saying we can only get three. Mind you it’s my brother and his family and then it me with my family. We are two separate households!! The lady acted as if we wanted to rob the store of formula so nobody can have any and felt some type of way when she had to give us each three and she really wanted us to just have three all together. I asked the lady if we were only allowed to leave with three cans per household and she did not answer me. Lol I know she was going off her own rules and I’m very upset with this service. Almost ruined my day walking into this Jewels. The ladies clearly showed their disregard for diversity. As soon as they started with us there moods changed attitudes changed and so did mines. Terrible service zero stars. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to come to this specific Jewels.

Oct 2023-this is still the same Jewel we know and like. This is our go to grocery store.Listen...I do not understand why Jewel changed the fresh fruit and vegetable area. It's been this way over a month and each time I walk into the store it feels as if they are blocking us from entering and exiting. It feels congested. Please explain why there's no way to walk into the store and walk directly to the rear or deli section? Why do we have to walk through a maze of bins or along a narrow path to get into and through the store. This seems a huge hazard to me. If there was a fire or emergency personnel has to enter to treat an associate or customer, this could be a matter of life or death. Did the Oswego/Kendall County Fire Marshall approved this set-up? Please respond and let us know. Thank you.On Friday, November 17, 2023 we purchased a bucket of wings - honey & BBQ. The honey wings - delicious. The BBQ wings are so salty it burned the inside of our mouth. No one could eat them. Talk about a spike in one's blood pressure...eat Jewel's BBQ wings and feel your BP rise. We thought we were getting a good deal because the bucket was on sale for $10 but this was not a deal because we threw the BBQ wings out. No more BBQ drummies for us. We'll stick with the honey going forward. Thank you.2023 You all are doing a great job maintaining the store and keeping the shelves stocked. We appreciate each of you.2022 This is a bigger Jewel. I'm still learning the layout. Thank you Oswego Jewel for stocking Grain Berry cereal and the small Rice Dream Original Enriched milk. I appreciate you all. Thanks again.

I give them a 5 star only because of the deli. They are great, and the lady that manages it is awesome. I think her name is Suzy. They are the only reason we shop there every week. The rest of the store is not so impressive. The way the pricing is listed is very misleading, not to mention the prices are horrible. Way over priced! There is one very nice front end manager that is a lady too. I noticed corporate and upper management constantly standing around watching when the front end is busy and must think they are above the front line workers because they never step in to help. I used to love this store.

I do like this Jewel on Orchard Rd. Oswego. It's clean and organized and stocked with everything. I just have one issue.. the cashiers do not want to bag the groceries. They stall for the customer to do it or the one bagger to come and bag. I will help and put the bags in my cart . At first I helped bagging but I realized I am not paying Aldi prices here to bag my own groceries! Jewel is not cheap! And I believe the cashiers are getting lazier if we do the bagging for them. I do see a couple of cashiers that check out the grocery then bag as they go along. Please train all of them entitled cashiers to bag like other stores do! All they want to do is get paid to scan the items!

Pretty bummed this is how my birthday cake turned out… you can’t read what it says and they didn’t even trim the screen print, it’s just slapped on. And I repeat you can’t read what it says. The cake is uneven as well. I won’t be going back.

Definitely one of the more clean and organized Jewel stores I've been to plus there's a Starbucks inside. Employees are nice and always helpful. Produce section is good, fresh and well stocked. Cheddar jalepeño croissant or bagel are awesome but sometimes they're not out as early as the donuts. The deli doesn't open until 8 which is a big difference from Yorkville Jewel opening at 7. They have self check out back which is awesome because nobody wants to wait in line for 2 or 3 things when they can get in and out but It's not open when store opens, not until around 8:00.

I usually always come here for my groceries, and of course stop and get Starbucks with my kids. I went on a Friday morning (8am) the Starbucks barista almost seemed bothered to serve me and my 2 kids. My daughter kindly asked for a light ice on her drink and she rudely answered '' Well I'm still not filling up to the top'' I just brushed it off. We waited patiently for our drinks and she shouted '' We don't have regular lids either '' (rude again) She tossed the drink to my daughter it had no love in making it. The drink looked sad and by the way half way full. My daughter seemed sad I almost cancelled everything. I don't recommend this Starbucks at all anymore!!! Jewel should consider hiring friendly staff not people with ugly nasty attitude. If I could I wouldn't even give them a star.

This store is going down hill. They used to have baggers and people to offer help with your groceries to your car. They are so overpriced and offer nothing for this extra cost. If I’m bagging my own groceries I’ll go to a store that charges less.Their grocery pickup is also a scam! They will substitute groceries even when told not too and scam by substituting things so that you don’t get the deals. I ordered 4 boxes of cereal for 1.99 each, they substituted 2 boxes and therefore I did not get the deal. My bill went up about 20$. I went into the store and there was plenty of the item that I ordered that they said was not in stock!I had to cancel the order and am still waiting for a refund. They have told me three times now to wait 5-7 business days for a refund. For some reason they are not refunding my money! They just hope that you forget about the refund and go away. Don’t waste your money there! They are crooks!!! Don’t believe when the say to contact the store or contact them online. They are liars! I have reached out and heard nothing!

I love this Jewels. Way better than the one on Galena Blvd. This store is stocked to the gills that I am not use to. And other fresh fruit and salads choices that the other Jewel does not carry. This is my favorite Jewels.

This is by far my favorite Jewel-Osco. They have a great selection and the shelves are always stocked. They also have a very large produce section. I haven't seen one this size in the last 30 years. The store is clean and the staff is friendly and professional.

Used self check out today to purchase the 4 items I was buying and felt profiled by the check out attendant as she hovered over me the entire time, pretending like she was admiring my son in the shopping cart. There were 2 other customers checking out at the time that she did not hover over. Hmm I wonder why not? Felt extremely uncomfortable.

Will be going back AGAIN Today to get my money back! Went to have strawberries this morning after buying them YESTERDAY, opened the container and they were full of mold! Got grapes out.... same thing! I will NOT be buying any more produce from jewel. I've already slowed down on buying from jewel because of issues. Jewel has really gone down hill! Not to mention I went to buy milk also yesterday... there were gallons that were past their expiration date and the gallon was expanded so it was definitely bad. The rest of the milk was due to expire within a day or 2. They had no Dean's or prairie milk either. I will not buy jewel brand milk or Lucerne brand milk because from my experiences they go bad well before expiration date. Done shopping at jewel at this point.

Lots of great produce, extensive deli selections, always has plenty of fried chicken. Liquor department has a lot of variety. Feels like a small store, kinda cozy, but has a full range of products.

The staff is always friendly and helpful in every department I've interacted with. The store is clean, bright and well organized and the selections and options are good for a store of this size.

I accidentally broke/spilled a glass bottle (I cannot remember the contents). The staff was responsive, kind and full of smiles. Their kindness wouldn't let me cleanup. I was very impressed with the staff who quickly responded to the spill.

I love shopping at Jewel Osco. But unfortunately they are price gouging us. So I have been avoiding shopping there when I don't need to but sometimes it's just convenient to shop there. Especially since they have what I need almost all of the time.
