Walked in expecting to see some nicely kept fish tanks, but instead I was met by a bunch of unlit and unclean aquariums. Very little selection of live plants. They did have a decent amount of tanks though, that’s why they get a 2 star and not a 1. If your a serious fish keeper who wants quality and don’t wanna support poor quality fish keeping, don’t shop at this location. I have seen better at other petcos.

Super nice location. I don't always go to this Petco but they ended up having the treats that I wanted for my dog. Also, they were able to price match the item from their online website, which was about half the price.

Same as always. When I buy feeders for my bearded dragons most of them are dead. All the packaged crickets were dead. Super worms were dead. When I mentioned that the horned worms are supposed to be upside down so the feces isn't in thier food she told me the customers did it. Like I'm an idiot. They were on a shelf where there wasn't a wire rack so even if they were upside down they couldn't breath. Bearded dragon tanks are dirty as always. Why do you ask my opinion but do absolutely nothing about it. The store is dirty.

It's Petco, they have all the common fish, cat, dog and reptile requirements.I went there to see the cats needing adoption, to make sure they seemed looked. They seemed fine, I hope those babies give forever homes soon.All the tarantulas seemed stressed as all of their abdomens were bald from flicking hairs.I also feel that keeping betta fish in those tiny plastic tubs is cruel and disgusting.

Grooming appointement is always canceled last minute. Today I received a cancellation email 5 minutes before scheduled appointment that was made a week in advance. Then when I call to see about rescheduling, nobody answers. This happens every time I schedule at this location. Oak Lawn location is much more professional and does not cancel last minute.

I love the staff here. Malik the groomer and the young lady who works with him were very helpful and treated me and my dog with respect. They gave good advice about grooming her at home and to get certain things to keep flies away. An helped me make up my mind about continuing the grooming process with them in the near future. An the staff in the store were also friendly and helpful. I am in love with this location. My faith has no cuts in her skin, they know what they are doing. She will be back.

Refused treatment on my animal (cat) because he scratched himself and caused a scab. Then the vet "forgot" to microchip my other cat. Then the vets were sitting gossiping while the cats were getting checked in. Honestly one of the worst experiences ever at a vet. Go to a real vet. Save yourself the trouble of just two tables in the back of the store.

I will start off by saying the stylist was awesome and friendly! I had an 8:15am grooming appointment and I was the first person there in fact before it opened (grooming opens before store retail hours) when we came in the place was trashed all types and colors of loose dog hair all over the floor and it was disgusting anywhere you looked! In fact there was a bottle of hot sauce right next to the pet tools and supplies! No management whatsoever

If I could give negative stars I would. My wife bought a baby corn snake from here two weeks ago, we named him Bungee. He died from Inclusion Body Disease two days ago as of this writing. We buried him under our tree. We're heartbroken and crushed. He had him, loved him, and cared for him for barely a week. Petco is only here to take advantage of their customers and take your money - I'm never shopping here or any other petco location again and I will encourage every last person I know to do the same. This is your fault, Petco, you failed in your duty to this animal. Also, animal death is apparently super common at Petco, if you adopt an animal from any Petco location they will refund you no questions asked if the animal dies within 30 days of adoption.Justice for Bungee.

Malik was our groomer and he was FANTASTIC. So friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the whole process, from check in, to giving a call 20 minutes before he was finished, to giving me a summary of things at the end and making recommendations for how to help my dog be less afraid of the grooming in the future. He truly went above and beyond. You could also tell he is a natural with animals-- he was so gentle and kind to my dog and I immediately felt safe leaving him in Malik's hands. This was my first time using Petco for grooming and we will absolutely be back. Thank you so much, Malik!!!

I give them 2 stars only for the kindness of the staff, but the store is horrible. They sold me a 75 gallon Aqueon tank that sprung a leak 2 months later and ruined the floor in my home and the stand I bought. Of course I had thousands worth of live rock, corals and fish that I lost in the tank by this time and I lost a few fish. All they would do is give me in-store credit. Do you really think I want to do this AGAIN? So I had to out of pocket for a dependable tank. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS ON THEIR TANKS!! Messaged corporate and they pawned it off to some poor young girl from the store to call me.

Sales associate John at the Orland park location was amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable about helping me with some issues I had with my fish (new to the hobby). Had many other sales associates at another big pet company telling me different things that resulted me losing 10 fish in 24 hours (knew nothing of the nitrogen cycle and that adding too many new fish at the same time with an uncycled tank would result in high ammonia levels and fish death). The associates at this location seem to be on the same page with their knowledge on care and what is best in certain situations. Everyone has been helpful, patient, and kind (especially John!!). Me and my fishies have found our forever pet store!!

Went to this location today to get some cat litter and possibly pick up some supplies for my chameleon. Noticed this panther was in atrocious conditions. If you even glance at their care sheets THAT THEY HAVE RIGHT THERE IN THE REPTILE SECTION AND EVEN ON THE TAG RIGHT THERE you can see the humidity should be at 60/70% plus the rest of the rest of the terrarium isnt adequate for housing a chameleon. Your hydrometer is broken or that pathetic excuse of a dripper is obviously not working... It was empty so even if it does work its not even being used nor is it even set up correctly. It should be dripping onto leaves so the chameleon can actually drink the water. They dont drink standing water. The whole set up is wrong and counterintuitive to their physiology. Theyre not meant to walk on the ground. Yet looking at the tank for the chameleon to get anywhere theyd have to do that, putting tremendous stress on their feet that arent adapted to take that kind of stress. They are literally designed to hold branches... And yall have two barely even comfortable to grab fake plants in there. Chameleons get stressed out SUPER easily. Panthers are a bit more intermediate when it comes to chameleon care but all chameleons are very sensitive. They are not easy reptiles to care for. No wonder why hes that coloration and that thin. Yall are going to kill him. Especially since hes going to be sitting there for awhile at that price point. Yall are disgusting. I dont care what corporate is telling you to do. If yall even care a single ounce youd either set up an appropriate habitat or just stop carying animals that youre not equipped to house.

I placed an online order with 6 items. One item was canceled. Not a big deal. However, someone from that location is playing games. My order, although correct, was split up between THREE separate drivers. I received 3 deliveries, all within 5 minutes of eachother. What a waste of gas & time as I live over 5 miles away.

I had purchased an aquarium test kit and half of it was missing. I returned it and the manager replaced it and gave me a 20% refund. That’s how you gain customers. I have since purchased ALL my pet supplies from Petco exclusively.

Ok Petco one reason why I moved to Orland Park from Chicago is the stupid $.06 Bag Tax. Yes, it's only $.06 but I'm finding out your Bag Tax is higher at $.10. So not only are we bombarded with multiple requests for our phone number for reward points but a bag tax? I'll visit "Pet Supplies Plus" for my next pet store visit to compare the experience.

Orland Park Petco allows Susan from HWH to have events for adoption that animals that are currently being fostered. Susan offered a dog to me and then ghosted me for a week. She said that they were placing the pup closer to the fosterer's home. She then tried offering another dog that, I guess, didn't need to be closer to it's fosterer.

I went here for some aquarium supplies for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the size and variety of products available. They may have the largest selection of aquatic plants in the area. I usually have to drive to Bolingbrook to get plants. But not anymore.
