Benji has some anxiety going to the groomers due to being a shelter puppy but Doggone Purr-Fection always takes care of him! They always try to accommodate my crazy work schedule to squeeze Benji in which I appreciate! Thankful for their many years of service!

Such welcoming and family atmosphere. I completely trust them with my pooch. Jack always looks amazing and they even give him a Mohawk! I never worry when dropping him off because I know they will do what is best while making him look adorable :)

We have been going to Doggone Purr-Fection over the past 30 years. We have had 3 dogs during that time and all have gone here. They do such a great job. The dogs come back so soft and clean. Ryan and Jackie are very nice and professional. They are like family for our fur babies. I highly recommend.

I wish I could give 0 stars because this place is an absolute joke. Just listen to the 1 star reviews because it's all true. Worst customer service ever; lady at the front is so snarky and condescending. They don't even ask how you want your dog cut/groomed. Once pick up came, she wouldn't even let us see the work on our dog before paying and literally held my dog hostage because she thought we were gonna run out and not pay. Also said my dog had a temperament and tried to bite her which I know is a lie because NO ONE has ever said that about my dog. My dog was barely trimmed and couldn't even tell she had a bath and they charged me $75 and it took over 3 hours. Tried to reason with said front lady and she threatened to call "somebody." Didn't even offer me a receipt. Just stay away from here at ALL costs, they don't care about your dog and should not be in charge of animals period.

I’ve always taken my little dog to Doggone Perfection for a bath, cut, and trimmed nails but I recently just started taking my big guy here. Staff is so nice and the dogs always look so great. I have a busy schedule but they make it so easy to make an appointment.

What a great place, we will not ever go to another place. I have been taking my dog Holly there every month for about 5 years.Holly is always greeted with cheers and smiles when the owner and staff sees her. They tell me all the time how much they love her and how she is such a great dog. The owner and staff are very professional and have made us feel like we are apart of the family. My kids love going in and paying so they can grab a piece of candy and be the first to see what color Holly's nails are painted. Every time I pick her up she is groomed to what I consider top notch service. You will not be disappointed and will have found your forever Groomer.

I have been going here for almost 10 years. I always trusted them with my dogs. We have since had to put our female dog Gabby down but Cosmo is still a frequent client. They always do a beautiful job on him. He always comes out looking so handsome. Ryan and Jackie are always very professional, friendly and welcoming, as all of the groomers are. I’m so glad I found them.

I brought my first dog to doggone perfection for about 15 years.He had long curly hair, especially on his ears and they got matted easily.Jackie talked me through how to care for his hair so it wouldn’t get so matted. I didn’t want him to go through all the pulling, so she gave him a beautiful short cut and got rid of all the matting. I am absolutely certain that our pup’s safety and comfort will always come first.Thanks Ryan and Jackie for the purr-fect service ! I’m happy to be bringing our new puppy to you guys!

I am giving this grooming salon a 3 for the speedy scheduling and convenient location.Despite the lukewarm reviews, I scheduled a grooming session for my dog.I picked up my 10 year oldLab and asked how she was and was told, “terribly. She did terribly. She was anxious and kept bucking like a horse. She pooped everywhere and I don’t think she should come back here, for her safety”.I was in disbelief and said, “you’re kidding, right”?It’s one thing to provide constructive criticism and it’s another to be rude.And well…the overall experience was unsettling to say the least.Lastly, my doggy wasn’t brushed.She had lots of shedding and scattered hair still.Bummed.

We’ve been taking our dog here for the past six years. Even though she has a double coat and I’m sure difficult to groom, she always comes home so silky smooth and smells great! Owners are very friendly and accommodating. We love Doggone Purrfection!!

**PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS**Please read the reviews before going to this place!We just moved back to the area and was looking for a new groomer for my 3year, 15lb pomsky and I am fairly particular with who I choose. I looked through the pictures and thought they looked better than some of the others in the area so I decided to give them a chance as she was overdue for a trim.There is no info or breakdown on services provided and pricing so that was annoying but thought I would get clarification over the phone. I reached out and didn't get a name but I stated her size and breed type. I was met with a "Text a photo over to this number and we'll call you back" then they hung up. I was taken aback but I figured maybe they didn't know the breed type. Instead of a phone call, I had a text exchange to set the appointment up and was good to go. I did tell them what services I needed but just got a range based off of coat condition and temperament. She was only a few weeks overdue and she had been to many different groomers before so I didn't think there would be any issues. We travel a good amount so our dog has been to a lot of different boarders and groomers but she loves strangers and we have never had an issue with her. We have groomed her ourselves plenty of times so I know how she behaves.We dropped her off the next day, I said Hi when we entered with no response besides is this for **** and is this number ok and I said yes. She took her from me without confirming the services (mind you, I had no idea who I was texting before and if this was the same person) and just asked has she been groomed before. I said yes and how long would it take and she said a couple hours.After leaving the parking lot, my fiance told me to check the reviews because he complained that the customer service was terrible. I was terrified after reading the latest ones that were less than 5 stars and wish I wouldve turned around to get her. After 3 hours (past her estimated time) we received a text that she was ready and went to retrieve her. When we arrived to pay, we were told that she has a "temperament" issue so we would be charged the highest amount. I asked her what did she mean and she said it took 2 people to groom her. For a 15lb dog?? My worst fears had come true. They charged the highest amount for services and with no evidence, there was nothing we could do. I asked what services did they provide and she said everything that you asked for so my fiance asked what was the breakdown of service amounts and she couldnt give an answer and said because it took 2 people. Then when I pressured her on giving answers, she threatened to "call someone" and I said go ahead.I then requested to see her because we didn't even see if they did a good job at this point! I told her to hand over my dog and we paid at that point just so it wouldn't escalate but I don't even think they gave her a bath!Also, as we were leaving, two of the other groomers didn't know which leash belonged to which dog so they just gave it to whomever smh.Please heed warning to the reviews about how terrible their customer service is and I hope the ones about them treating the dogs badly isn't true.I will be taking my dog back to Groomingdale's in Indiana an hour away just to ensure that she is taken cared of properly and met with love.

Not a good experience at all. Our family is first time dog owners and we rescued our dog, we have had her for 3 1/2 months almost 4 and Friday when we brought her here and this was the third grooming that she had since we have had her. We didn't take her back to the same person because they got booked up very quickly and I'm learning now that you have to book these things in advance....anyways we decided to bring her here and right off the bat the lady was just so rude and spoke to me in a accusatory way with Ruby. First, she is a mini aussie golden doodle, its been a transition to get her into a better state then what she was because she was very abandoned and the other groomers did really well helping us with that. The reality is that we are new at this and are at the mercy of learning through others and the groomers and if a groomer recommends shaving her down for whatever reason, we will take that anddo whats best for her but the lady that we encountered and spoke to on Friday was just so disrepectful, made accusatory comments, spoke negative about her other customers. I had to tell her several times that this is new for us because she mentioned neglect, she made a comment about her bread and people wanting these breads and not taking care of them. She was very stand offish. I left her there because we didn't want to wait 2 months for her to go to her normal groomer but she left a bitter and sour taste in my mouth. She went as far to say that she has negative reviews because people don't like to hear the truth. I'm sure she is going to read this, Lady, its not about telling people the "truth" but its your lack of professionalism thats the issue. It looks like you have had a lot of negative experiences with customers but you can not treat every customer the same, I don't know if she is the owner or a worker there but thats not how you do business and certainly not how you treat people. My dog literally has been sitting in the corner this whole weekend whimpering, it doesn't seem like my Ruby. So I will never bring my dog there again NOT because you shaved her bald because i'm sure thats what she is going to say, that I didn't want her to shave her, if that was the case, I would said I'm taking her and not allow you to do anything but because of how rude and dispectful you were. If you don't know how to handle customers, you should not be in the front and if you are the business owner, shame on you for shaming others without truly knowing any back story. If you would have come respectfully to me and said hey, these are my recommendations for this reason and for this type of bread especially because I told you that this is really new to us and treated our conversation with respect, I would have gladly brought her back, not every other week like you were trying to push but definetly 3-4 weeks out. She made me feel awful! This isn't about not doing whats best for the dog thats separate but its about treating people with grace and respect because not every customer is the same and if you are going to have the attitude well if you don't like it leave, thats terrible. I barely said much to this lady, I just watched her talk and talk and talk herself into a whole. I was respectful, let her do her thing, picked our our dog respectfully and left. I was in no means aggressive or disrespectful to her because thats how you should treat people especially if you want your business to grow. You can convince people that the sky is red, its all how you approach people and speak to people......Mam, learn how to speak to people! I don't know what issues you have had in the past with people but don't take it out on other customers.

We have been taking our special little dog, ‘Lady’ to Jackie and Ryan ever since we rescued her. She runs right to the door and can’t wag her tail enough.Her coat is just as soft when we bring her back for her next grooming as it was when we picked her up from her previous one. We were so happy with her grooming that we referred our daughter to bring her beautiful King Charles, and she is just as happy as we are!!!

We have been taking you fur babies here for almost 30 years. The owners and staff are the most amazing people! They always treat and love our dogs like they are their own. They take pride in what they do and always do the most fantastic job in making our current dog look amd smell amazing! Bella (our dog) is always so excited to get in the door to see her friends and get pampered the way our dog should. On a scale of 1 to 10 Doggone Purr-Fection is easily a 12! I highly recommend this doggie beauty shop!

Have been very happy with Doggone Purrfection since finding them in 2013! Our last dog went there his entire life and they got us through everything from unmanageable, superfine puppy fluff to a home Covid haircut gone wrong! So they're the only place we've taken our current dog. They've taught us so much about a very different coat than we were familiar with and even made him look adorable when we inadvertently let him get matted beyond brushing out! We wholeheartedly trust Ryan, Jacquie & their entire staff with our pooches and you should too!

I love this place and the owners. For 15 years, maybe more, my dogs have come here for grooming, bathing and more. Some of my dogs haven’t been the easiest clients but somehow they can “talk dog” and get them looking great. Michelle will give it to you straight and I appreciate that. Thanks for everything 💕

We have taken all of our dogs to Dog Gone Purr-Fection for years. Our Australian Cattle dog is a rescue who came with a lot of anxiety. The staff here takes such good care of him understanding his fear. They are loving and caring as well as doing such a great job with all services. I WOULD NOT take my pets anywhere else!.

When we found out we would be picking up Maggie, our rescue, I walked into Doggone Purr-Fection to make a grooming appointment. I remember speaking to Jackie and telling her how worried I was about having her groomed and how nervous Maggie still was around us and her new home...Jackie talked to me and went over everything she would do and how she would call me right away if Maggie showed any signs of distress. She really took the time to make me and our sweet girl feel comfortable...years later...we wouldn't take our Maggie anywhere else. Jackie and her staff always put their fur-babies first and I love that about their business.

Its not so much that they dont treat your dog good but it is more the customer service part. Lady at the front just seems like she doesnt want to work there and is always so rude!!! Last time she wanted to shave my dog because she had some knots she didnt even want to try brushing it out right away she was going to shave everything i mean she said everything. I am so glad i didnt leave my dog there i took it to another places and they didnt have to shave or anything they said thats ridiculous what they wanted to do. So please be aware.

Ryan and Jackie treat our dogs as their own, making sure they receive the best care while in their hands, and always make sure to let us know if they see something of concern as they grow older. If you want a salon that cares about the integrity of the dog, this is the place.

Amazing groomers! Our dogs get so excited to go for their baths and haircuts! They always look and smell amazing when they are done. Our English Springer Spaniel and English Setter are groomed to perfection every time. No better groomers in the area. Would give more stars if I could!

Very poor and ignorant customer service. If I could give negative stars, I would. Tried making a first appointment for our brand new dog and the lady was immediately ignorant and condescending over the phone. She insinuated that the pet shop where we purchased our dog buys their dogs from Amish breeders and the puppies typically get sick and die quickly.This is far from the truth because our last two dogs lived to 18 years old and was purchased from the same petstore that she was bashing. She wouldn't accept our dog until she was older and proven to be healthy. Glad they were unable to accommodate our needs of a brand new puppy getting her first haircut.

My daughter and I have been taking our dogs Lila and Luna to Doggone Purrfection for a few years now. It is the ONLY place that they are unafraid to enter. At both Petsmart and Petco, they were terrified to enter.Just the mention of going to see Jackie (owner) gets them excited. They practically pull us in and never look back. We have a blue nose pittie and a lab/pittie mix.I trust Jackie and everyone at Doggone Purrfection to take great care of them. I trust our dogs instincts and know that if it wasn't a welcoming place, they would let us know. They have always and continue to do a great job!!I would definitely recommend.

I was a student here, don’t go! They will hit and beat the most mildly defiant dogs, kinda nice people, just very, troubled? Please go somewhere else, if your dog seems funny after go to the humane society and press charges, I tried to get video of it but failed. You don’t have to trust me, but beware!!!!!!!!At your own risk

This groomer is fantastic. This place will take great care of your dog. I took my Shetland sheepdog in for grooming. Skye is a nervous dog. They took patience with him to ease his nervousness. Love his trim especially his nails and paws. Thank you for the excellent care of Skye.
