Lots of great reviews, but I found it very underwhelming and I was very excited to shop here. The two cashiers were texting on their phones or something and didn’t even look up to say hello. The produce was mostly not great and the prices were relatively high. Definitely convenient if you live in the area to grab a couple things but I wouldn’t do the majority of my grocery shopping here.

Best grocery store in the area. Love how clean and tidy store is. Produce is great, meat is fresh. Nice selection of frozen, can goods and bakery items. Deli is exactly what I look for. The wraps and sandwiches are excellent. I love the mom and pop vibe where I feel good to spend my money at a small business. Staff is friendly and helpful. I've lived in Oak Park my whole life and this grocery store definitely perfect for my family. Never over crowded and easy, close parking.Thank you Carnival, you're awesome!

Their deli items such as their tuna salad is the best I have ever had. Impressive selection of alcohol and snacks. A cozy grocery store that has essentials and more. Their wall murals are gorgeous and whimsical. Prices are fair with friendly and helpful staff.

Nice and clean grocery store. Modern products and kitchen staples. I grabbed some topo chicos and case of Oberon for a friend's house warming. Staff was nice a friendly.

Very nice and clean store for the community. What's really great about this store they have a free food pantry in there parking lot. Daily allowing people to donate as well as the store. For all. Big shot out here. Please donate

They are making some great changes. I've been shopping here since it used to be Pan's. The owner is making improvements to make it a true community grocery store. Today was uneventful and I was pleased to see that the new cashier is so organized and kind. He had all his bags staged and open for customers who may need them. Outstanding.

Great local grocery store in Oak Park. Not only do they have all the basics, they have a wonderful meat counter and wine/liquor selections. So convenient to have this little gem right around the corner. Clean, and staff are super helpful and friendly.

It's ok for a quick grocery run. My daughter goes here mainly; I don't want her traveling far to the store by herself. We have been coming to this store before when it was pans. The lady's were nice. I eat mainly vegan so I rarely shop for myself here. The fruit and vegetables are meh. They don't have too many vegan food items. The workers are ok. It's conveniently close to me because I would never come just out of a whim or otherwise.Update: They are selling more vegan options. This is good!

I love the changes here! I especially love the meat selections. It is great to buy pre-seasoned meats and get them on the table for dinner in no time at all. There is so much variety. I also appreciate that so much of the meat is Amish and/or raised with higher standards. I have made meat requests and have been so pleased with the service and quality. I ordered a turkey for the holidays that was perfect. I have bought some good salads and olives at the deli counter. Fruits and vegetables have always been fresh. I suggest that they do a MEGA sale (prices ridiculously low)on a few select items to get people in the door. This store just needs more word of mouth and perhaps some sampling- some unusual treats, imported chocolates? Gourmet dessert area? featured cheeses, perhaps? Then it could become a destination shopping trip and the hottest destination for food in the neighborhood.

Great store! Through the whole COVA-19 crisis - they had LOTS of food available - they kept crowds to a minimum, it was so much less stressful to shop at than Jewel Foods. They have done a ton of upgrades - juice bar, fun murals, wine tastings, great greeting cards, lots of prepared foods - definitely check this store out!

We love having Carnival Grocery store available to us. They always have a good selection, especially for being a neighborhood grocery store. Is it just for a few mid-week items? Well, yes, but I've also done a complete week of grocery shopping there. They are a great example of an excellent neighborhood grocery - and more.

This is a nice little grocery store. I needed to pick up a few items on the way to visit my uncle and so I stopped in here since it was right on my way. Even though it's not a huge store, they had a nice assortment of foods.

You can find a great selection of local and craft products. They make their own baked good and have some hot foods as well, which is nice for a quick meal. Free parking lot is another perk!

We do not do the weekly big shop here but fill in, usually buying bagels, bread, yogurt, wine, apples and sometimes meat. Nice to have just north of the Oak Park blue line L stop for purchases on the trip home after work

Wonderful store! Well stocked, fresh produce and friendly staff. They also have a nice selection of potted plants in their dining area that are all for sale.

A pretty nice small grocery store with a wide selection of wine and beer. Most people probably can't fill all their grocery needs here but if you live in the area or need something in a pinch it's great. The one real drawback is the lack of a bakery or an extensive baked goods section, but given that the Oak Park bakery is just down the street that's probably not too much of an inconvenience.

Great resource for south Oak Park. We can always count on it being well stocked with items if needed at the last minute. They're too small to compete on price and volume but punch above their weight when it comes to supporting the community. Before COVID-19, they hosted awesome little family oriented events around each holiday. After COVID-19, they have a community pantry. I try to donate something after every visit.

They offer 10% discount when one buys food for their outdoor food pantry. It has a refrigerator and stock cabinet. Hungry people can choose what they want and just grab it. Great pandemic idea!!

really disappointed in this place, apart from the nice decor, this place doesn’t maintain their food products very well. The last couple of times i’ve visited a lot of items are past their expired date, on top of that some of the bake goods i saw had mold on them! won’t be going back anytime soon
