The abundance of carts, crates, and boxes obstructing the aisles makes navigating through the store quite challenging. Furthermore, there was only one cashier attending to a line that stretched from the front to the back of the store. It is very clear that staffing is a significant issue at this location

Mariano’s is my go to store. I go primarily for their fresh fruit, and poultry. Not only can you shop in a clean store, but can also enjoy a drink from the bar. I tend to have a glass of wine , and shop. Which just makes the experience that must better. Cheers

I moved to the area recently but I have been coming here for a while now. I’ll say this right now this Marianos was no doubt one of the best Iv ever visited. Every time I came here the environment is always good and peaceful to shop in. The food was on point and the items selection. But a few weeks ago I came to shop and noticed fruit flys inside all the cakes and donuts. They were just flying around like nothing while the employees baked. I come again today and of course they have the same fruit fly probably but not only that food with mold.

We had purchased honey Mustard and at home I noticed it had expired in 2022!!! Last week we were looking to purchase the salads that are pre-made and I looked at the bottom all the lettuce was all black!. The section were all the speciality cheese and meats are alot of their cheese has mold also!! All their produce has can down!

The first time I ever been to a Mariano's was about a month back and it was this location! I was overwhelmed with excitement because they had so much stuff ! They have fudge stand , popcorn stand, a Stan's donuts, a mini bar , ready to eat food and more ! I bought some chicken tenders that were ready to eat. they tasted like the ones from jewels. Very good. I also bought ready to eat pizza and even though it looked good it wasn't so tasteful. I usually buy groceries at jewels but that day I decided to go to Mariano's. I was surprised on how much I spent because I honestly thought I would of spent more. Place looks well kept and they have a variety of brands and products. I ended my shopping with some Stan's. They have a handful of drinks and donuts. Their dragon fruit lemonade is delicious.

Marianos used to be better. I try to shop online for pickup orders since i am disabled and it is like pulling teeth or root canal. Just to find the ad i like. Then i try to get my order together and it is another major surgery. Then i look at the order and i am over charged for eberything. It said knoor pasta or rice. Mi and match. .99 cents each. But when you check your order it said 1.29 Each. So where is the sale? Go check out jewel or fairplay online shopping fir pick up orders. They are not confusing and do not try to rip you off. Message me when you fix things and then i can delete this review.

(2nd Edit)- Ladies and gentlemen I am astounded to announce a price has been set. It only took a few months but they finally got the job done. It must have been a massive undertaking to print out one price tag and re-merchandise a 6 bottle case but it is done. But ooooo wait. The price tag is for another bottle from the distillery in question with a different price, upc and sku number. While I commend the effort Kroger has dropped the ball entirely. Based upon proximity if you have to shop here I suppose but marianos as a high end grocery chain is long gone.(Edit)- Almost 3 weeks have passed and we still can’t get a price tag on it huh? When the general manager took the bottle from me at the register he directly said it was because customers put things down in the wrong place. You’re a general manager and can’t even print a price tag? It’s been 3 weeks!! I understand you are busy but come on for real? Are you trying to sell the product or is it just eye candy? Like baffling how after you are called out you can’t even correct yourself by printing a simple price tag. Kroger you should sell me this bottle for what you advertising and better train your employees. If a manager was deliberately impeding the sale of a $500 plus case of product he would not be managing my store any longer. Let’s see how long it takes to get that price tag up. I bet nothing happens before 4th of July at the absolute minimum. 40 hour work week and printing 1 price tag just too much to handle. If you advertise something please honor it. Not the customer’s fault the department is negligent or mismanaged. I’m an informed consumer and I know a good deal, not my fault the staff doesn’t have the same knowledge I do. The Kentucky owl st. Patrick’s edition is an allocated bourbon, but when you leave 4 of the bottles in a stack labeled 24.99 it is presumed to be 24.99 when no other channel markers or displays can be found. I understand the label is not for the product but if that is the way employees are trained then the price should remain what is listed. Tell southern or breakthru (which are the liquor distributors) to give Kroger a credit for it. (They will do it) and here’s another tip: Supervise outside merchandisers! They were likely the ones who broke down the st.pats display and did not opt to ask for a proper tag. Maybe hire an informed spirits consultant to prevent instances like this.

This Mariano's is a disappointment. Their produce selection is so small and most of the bins are sparce or riddled with rotting produce. I am tired of over paying for your gross selection. I won't be coming back.

Ordered flowers here for my wedding and loved Kris!! She is so helpful and nice and all of the tips she gave me for the centerpieces (which mom made) were helpful. I did have Mariano's make the bouquets and all the flowers for the ceremony; they could have also made the centerpieces but I wanted to make them ourselves. Would definitely recommend!

They have a huge store inside that I think I was just Like Wowed and in Awe. I'm Italian so I enjoyed the never ending selection of seasonings, and different Pasta to choose from. I've Also had the pleasure of using their online store for ordering, and picking up the items that was a great experience to. Fastest service I have had from any other company I've gone with either with my mom (Sally) or for her. Very nice people too. I definitely recommend you come here for your shopping experience! In-store, online ordering pick up to

Ever since Kroger took over this place it has been awful. They never have enough cashiers. The quality has gone down. There is not enough people working in the Deli. There is always a long line. It’s a shame because their bakery is delicious, the quality of the meat from the deli is good. They just don’t care about the custamore satisfaction anymore. It’s sad

Came in for a smoothie Saturday morning to start my day off right only to find out the smoothie blenders weren’t working. Super sweet girl behind the smoothie bar helped me out a bunch and managed to get me my refund no problem. Been about a week and these machines haven’t been fixed. First time at the location definitely will return again soon only to see if the smoothies are backUp and running.

My last two efforts to "give feedback" have been met with "This site can't be reached". First time I thought "Oh, well" and let it go. Today, I have a suspicion that there is no one being given the job to read the reviews or there are just too many and many of them are poor reviews. I was going to state that I returned two cucumbers because they were hard to bite into and yellowed inside. Many avocados are yellowed the same way. The exterior of the cucumbers were beautiful. I thought I was lucky here, no soft spots at all! Well, I've had to stop buying their mangoes (they don't want to ripen or they're very darkened inside), their avocados go yellow inside and look like they are on their way to spoiling. They also have lost all flavor. Lemons are spotted and there are very few of them. I wanted the grapefruit on sale recently, but, again, very little to choose from and actual "rot" in the bag! Peaches and nectarines, hard as a rock! I've gotten great ones at ALDI'S in the past, not so much lately. Bought beets recently for juicing, could hardly cut them with a chef's knife. We were told at my last job that "Once you lose a customer, it's very hard to get them back." Looks like their buyers are told to get the "bottom of the barrel" once they arrive at the market. Got very good cucumbers at the 103rd St. Jewel in Oak Lawn.

This location is always clean, and the staff, no matter which department, is always courteous, respectful, and helpful. The prices are industry standard, but digital coupons are available and are well worth it, rendering excellent sales and prices. Marianos also have bulk pricing , which tends to be better than the sale price. There are approximately 5 register lines with 12 self-service lines usually open. The botanic section is above industry normal with a great selection. Piano music and a bar for a drink while you shop is available. The carts come with a cup holder for your drink, which is a nice touch. A hot bar with foods from fish, sushi, pizza, and other meats as well as soups are available. There is a cheese section that rivals anything in the area. A butcher for specific cuts of meat is there, and a cook is on staff to cook said meats while you shop if you choose. The wine and liquor area are as good as any liquor store in the area, and a walk-in freezer is present for beer. The produce section always furnishes fresh fruit and vegetables. There is a juice bar and a fresh guacamole maker. In the bakery section, there are baked goods and a canoli dip that is to die for. The middle aisles and the frozen section carry normal supermarket items. There is an international aisle that deserves mentioning as it does have some unique items other supermarkets do not have. Overall, A+.

I go to this store often. On Saturday I was in the store around 8:30 am to purchase the rotisserie chicken salad. I always ask when was it made, the lady says this morning. I asked for a pound. It appeared to be a lot for the morning. I ate it for dinner on Sunday and was woke up with a bad cramp in my stomach. I have food poison, it is coming out of both end. I will be calling corporate andHealth Department. They are mixing the old with the fresh.

I have been shopping for this store for about 3 years now because I just love the many selections there are. Produce is fresh and the bakery is delicious. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience yesterday all because there was no way to pay with Apple/Google pay. I always have used my physical card for payment, but for the first time ever I decided to not take my card with me so I can pay with my phone...how it was a bad idea! I had many items in my cart and everything was rung just so my stuff can get suspended since I had to run to my car for my card...It was very embarrassing and frustrating because there was a big line behind me. I come back to pay with my card and the cashier's had to re scan everything all over again! I still cannot believe that Mariano's has no Apple/Google pay. You would believe that they do have it if other stores like Dollar Tree, CVS, Target, etc. have them!Mariano's (Oak Lawn) needs Google/Apple pay to avoid problems like this.

It used to be a wonderful experience. They closed the grill. The hot food bar is rarely fully open. The bar is rarely open. The employees show little consideration for customers.... all of the special things that used to make it "Marianos" are gone. Now it's just a grocery store

Amazing how rude the staff can be when the grocery store is busy on a holiday weekend. I politely asked the self checkout clerk if they could ring up my alcohol while he was there and they weren’t old enough to do it. They called over another clerk who was clearly super busy and she walked up to me yelling “you’ve got to be kidding me!” And then nastily looked me up and down and as I was awaiting my ID to be scanned. She refused to scan it on the register and said the ID coloring on my eye was slightly blemished and I was refused service for the rest of the night. I told her she was wrong and that was a security feature of the ID to have the chicago skyline in holographic overlay on the left side and she needed to scan my ID and I also presented several other forms of identification. I am not sure what is going on there but their staff is clearly overwhelmed and unable to operate in busy situations. I buy alcohol from this establishment often and have never had an issue and always have my ID scanned or am IDd at the register without an issue. Seriously messed up the way they treated me. I don’t care if there was a legitimate issue with my identification, which there isn’t, but the rudeness this lady presented with handling the matter was beyond anything I’ve experienced there before. I’ve also reported this to the Mariano’s corporate office and will be in touch with their managers next time I am in there.

Update 4/24: stopped in the other day to grab a couple things. Store is depressing. Overall dirty feel. Employees walking around w AirPods in - not very approachable. One cashier with a long line. Self-checkout was also a long line. I will stick to Aldi, Jewel and Costco.Kroger has ruined this Mariano’s location. It used to be a nice store to shop - specialty shops and services. Now you may as well go to Food 4 Less. There is nothing special about shopping here anymore. It is a mess - poorly stocked and organized. Before tonight, the last time I was there was 2020. I stopped going because I didn’t like the changes Kroger made. I stopped in tonight to grab a couple things and saw it has only gotten worse. I have been in Kroger stores in other states and they are nice, clean locations. I don’t know why they can’t uphold the same standard for Oak Lawn. I guess the people that shop here don’t warrant the same service.

It is sad to see that this location has a bar juice but it is always closed. No matter what at what time I come it is closed. Today I was there at 10:30 and the attendant was there, but it was closed because she was doing something else, then, I returned at 12 and it was closed still because she cleaned everything for the second shift. That was a ridiculous answer. I am very disappointed about this situation. I hope the store managers take Accion and offer a clear schedule for customers for the products and services they offer, including the juice bar.
