When you go to this Walgreens pharmacy in Oak Forest, please note that Corporate understaffs their pharmacy with one pharmacist who they work from open to close, so they have to close the pharmacy for a lunch and dinner break. If you are in line waiting in your car when it's time for their break, they give the techs each a sign with the store hours and scheduled breaks to cover their faces while covering the window. They do not say, "sorry we have to close for our 1/2 hour break." They do not try to stop the line from growing by putting up a sign that people in line can see. They do not communicate in any way. They let everyone wait in line and then when its finally your turn they slap a bunch of signs in the window and completely ignore you. First of all, it is not only terrible customer service, but it is terrible to treat your employees in a way that makes them do your dirty work. You want to cut corners and not employee enough pharmacists to allow the pharmacy to remain open that you make your techs treat customers like they are not worthy enough of at the very least an explanation. I am usually pretty level-headed but this enraged me as I had a daughter who had same-day surgery and it was by that time 5 hours since I dropped off her prescription, 3 attempts to pick up the prescription and she desperately needed her pain medication at that point. I am sure this happens frequently to customers who are under duress for themselves, or a loved one who is dying or very sick. This is unacceptable, and I will never use their pharmacy again. The employees here should seriously reconsider being desperate enough to work for a corporation that would treat its employees so horribly to have to train them to treat the customers so disrespectfully.I also went on their website to check their hours because I wanted to make sure they were not closing earlier than I expected and there was no mention of these 1/2 hour scheduled closings.

Have been going to this pharmacy for almost 7 yrs and rarely have had an issue. I especially like their messaging me to let me know when my meds will be ready for pick-up.

Pharmacist rushed my entire call and hung up on me before I was even done getting the help I needed. I’d rather sit on hold than be treated like a bother for getting my prescriptions

Ali the shift lead refused to take me and my wife’s passport size photos when I walked in around 7:00pm. I asked him why..he simple said “we are not doing them right now” I ask him what are the hours for passport photo so I can stop by then. He replied 8am-10pm. So I ask him why can’t it be down now then. He repeated “we are not doing them right now” I asked his name and walked away toward the exit door. He follows us and tell us “how many do you need” we reply 14 photos and said I’ll take care of you. We refuse and walked away. Not happy with the service at this location.

Some of these incidents are probably isolated incidents if it happens more than once then I would give a bad review maybe they're short-staffed are very busy. Nobody really knows what's going on with the crew so sometimes people just are too busy for things and we're all just human but if it keeps happening I would complain other than that .

Told me they dont accept my insurance and after several hrs of back and forth with bcbs and them calling this location, they amazingly in fact take my insurance.

I went there last week for my passport Pictures and i can say if I can give them a 10 star I would Everybody was so polite professional and sweet even when I went back because they wouldn't take my passport photos At the Post Office and I had to retake them everyone was so polite and kind I would definitely will be coming here again. And a big thank you to the manager Stephanie I believe was her name the post office took it the second time round thank you.

Their pharmacy is the worst! I stood there for 35min for my child's pain medication (that was sent over a out 3.5 hrs prior) while he waited in the car after having surgery on both legs and was told by the pharmacist it would be filled right away once they got the rX changed then told by the tech I would have to come back even though they got the script changed and now my child has no pain meds. I can't leave him home alone right now to go get them and they won't deliver them. The c--+ had the audacity to feed me excuses of them being short staffed after I told them my child is in pain while waiting for them. I'm livid! They have 0 compassion for their customers.

Zero stars they scheduled my COVID shot during the pharmacist lunch so now I have to wait an extra 30 minutes... so the pharmacist returned and now they want me to answer a few questions... I was here 30 minutes ago I could have filled out this paper work then.. But NO another 10 minutes wasted.. now the nurse has a bad attitude with me cause I’m questioning weather they have it together over here!! Which they don’t!! All together Horrible experience top that with rude and ignorant so called Nurse..

I would have given this Walgreens only 1 star if it weren’t for my last visit. Every time I’ve come here, no one has ever offered to put in my rewards points to take a few dollars off. In fact, I believe it was one of the managers who even said that I COULDNT use them in a recent visit when I definitely could have. (There was a long line so assuming he just chose not to). It’s as if rewards comes out of their paycheck 🙄 Anyway, my last visit a nice young gentleman, I don’t recall his name but I think it started with an S asked if I’d like to use my rewards points. Now that is going above and beyond! Please Walgreens, you are a multi billion dollar corporation. Least you can do is offer the rewards points if it applies. This is chump change for you and for the average customer spending hundreds of dollars here like myself it is definitely helpful.

This Walgreens is a joke. I’ve been coming here 5+ years and I swear every single time it’s a headache. I’m finally making the decision to switch. They fill prescriptions with whatever generic brand they have on the shelf. Every. Single. Time. Without calling the patient to ask/tell them. I tell them DO NOT fill a specific one. EVERY. TIME. They fill it and I have to wait or come back to get the right one. Very unprofessional and SLOW.

Stopped in to get pictures. Went up to the photo counter and no one was there. Joel was working the front desk and noticed that noone was there and I was waiting. He called someone and within no time the photo person showed up. Thank you, Joel, for doing an amazing job as well as being observant to my needs.

I have found this Walgreens location to be the most pleasant to shop. All of the employees have been very helpful & very patient, while never failing to say “Welcome to Walgreens.” Namely, Bonnie, Daniella & Stephanie, but I’m certain there are many more names I’m missing here. My personal recent experience was with Stephanie. A customer was being very short & demanding of her, even while she diligently gave it her all to serve the customer’s pushy questions with a smile & still a kind voice. She is one example of many great workers at this location. The store is ALWAYS clean & orderly as well. :)

I wish i had two more hands to give this place 4 thumbs down! Back in September, I had mouth surgery. The prescription was called in when I arrived at the doctor's office. 2 hours later I arrived at the pharmacy and they didn't have my prescription ready. "We have to go to lunch." I was told. So i had to wait an additional hour for it to get filled. If you like poor training and low expectations, then this place is for you!

I used this Walgreens this month for my medication refill(I only have one) after months of horrible service from the jewel osco across the street. Walgreens was packed last night. They said it would be about an hour wait. While I waited thy checked up on me twice. They actually got my script ready after about 25 minutes, even tho they were very busy. They also immediately notified when it was ready. I stopped using the jewel because for 6 straight months in a row I waited over an hour and 20 minutes or more. They always forget me and don't fill my script or just never tell me my script was ready even tho I sat there in front of the pharmacy for sometimes 2 straight hours. I am not exaggerating when I say that this happened 6 straight months before I left. I will always use this Walgreens going forward after their good service yesterday despite them being very busy

This pharmacy is terrible besides the actual pharmacist Theresa & Ken. Every technician I talk to seem to have no idea what they’re doing. Everyone gives me a different date when my refill is ready. They claim to not receive refills and I have to go back and forth with my doctor and pharmacy for an hour at least to get my prescription filled. They’re a mess. Can’t wait to switch.

Please train your pharmacy staff so that they understand proper customer service. Please also let them know that customers can make an appointment for an immunization at this location online, get a confirmation of this appointment, print out the necessary forms for this immunization, and it is covered by BCBS PPO insurance.

To corporate, I hope one day you will invest in this store. Bare shelves, worn out nasty rugs on the entrance...overall uninviting store environment. Yet 80th Avenue in Orland Park, was totally remodeled and Oak Forest is just depressing now.

Horrible horrible service!!! You can sit in their drive thru for half hour and it doesn’t move!!! And something is always wrong with your prescriptions, they don’t call the patient if something is wrong or any issues with filing prescriptions!!!! Horrible staff, except for the pharmacists they are great......

Would like to give O star because twice a week went to walgreens for photos but machine doesn't work even no signs out of order we know that they don't like to do work .maybe lazy employees there also pharmacy manager doesn't know how to talk with the customer + told me 10 minutes wait to pick up the tablets & after she gave me the tablets after 45 minutes just wasting time so be careful everyone thanks

After telling me the meds for my 2 years old (who spend all morning at primary care) will be ready in 1.5 hours I cone back in 2 hours to get them. I was informed that no one filled them and to come back! POOR SERVICE!

My husband got an pregnancy kit of wallgreen brand bcoz their was no clear blue pregnancy kit and I had positive result i couldn't believe bcoz we didn't plan the baby and same day at evening i bought and clear blue kit and it was saying not pregnant I got so relief

I like this Walgreens the staff is very friendly the store is clean .you can find lots of good bargains and if you don't see something on the shelf. They always go in the back and look for you.

This pharmacy is filled with nothing but incompetent staff and controlled substance drug addicts picking up their pain medications ...I will be switching to ANOTHER Walgreens in a better location with more efficient staff and the clients who are less likely to sell their pain meds on the street
