You guys are top tier here!I walked in to check out the produce and man you guys have it laid out FRESH! I was surprised and impressed that everything was up to date and nice. Even the cakes in the bakery were shiny!They were even giving out free hot dogs in the deli. I gave mine away but that was still nice of you all!

The wait at the deli counter is ALWAYS unbearable. For twenty minutes I stood there and they were still six numbers away from mine. 3 deli slicers went to take care of the fried chicken orders and left one person to take care of customers request for sliced meat. My wife reminded me it’s not the workers, it’s bad management.

The manager, Lorie at the Oak Forest Jewel is a disgrace as a manager!! She’s rude, racist, disrespectful and is NOT a people person!! I’ve had horrible experiences going to the service desk when she’s there, I dread dealing with her if I need help with anything in your store. I’m retired and I’ve always been in management and I know from experience that you have to be a people person in order to help customers or manage employees. I have seen this Lorie over the months past embarrass your customers, speak rudely to your customers and I myself have tried to be friendly and try to get a smile or friendly response from her…it’s impossible!! I’ve asked for rain checks before and she doesn’t believe me that the store is out of whatever the rain check is for and rolls those eyes of hers and takes off down the isle to try and prove I’m lying!! I tell you I’ve never been treated so rudely in my life!! I am going to contact an attorney about her and Jewel because her attitude caused me to have a panic attack and your manager should not be dealing with customers!! I’ve also heard complaints from other customers waiting in line dreading to have to deal with her, or they’d get in line….see her and say “oh no, I’ll come back when she’s gone!”. She is a disgrace as a manager!! I’ve also attached a picture of my review on Yelp. I will NOT be treated like this anymore by Lorie!

This is by far the worst Jewel there is the other day I went to the Deli they didn't have Salami or Ham everything was out of stock. Then on 3/2 I placed a curbside pickup order early in the morning for the first time since it was the only way to get the deals and they waited all day to cancel it on me to reschedule it for 2 days later pickup. They took the money out of my card and when I questioned them why they did she was screaming that they never charge me until the order is picked. I called and they are so rude and if they don't have an answer for you they just hang up wouldn't once take my name or order number to check on it. The other Jewel managers I called were able to fill all their curbside orders for the day and had no problem answering the questions I had when I didn't even shop at their location with a friendly manner. Every single employee I talked to yesterday was so rude and screaming at the Oak Forest location. I will never go to this location ever again.

These ladies at the self check out are completely ignorant. Twice I have them come over to my cart and looking at my screen then she put her hands in my cart. Know I always take the scanner and ring my stuff up it's quicker. Never had a problem till today she came over and told me I have to take everything out and scan it. She grabed the bags out of my hand and started talking to me like I was a child. I had 3 items plus water not a full cart like some people do. If you are so worried about theft. Take the 5 people that are standing around and make them cashiers.

I am so appreciative to the way the Oak Forest Jewel is today. Over a year ago I may not have written this. I've noticed a change upon walking in. The Moral is so much better! I then noticed the Store Manager, Mike Buchanan having a "hands on approach" too which he leads by example. I personally Thanked Mike. I can see he has sincere respect for the customer as well as his employees. Thank you Mike, we all appreciate you.....

Prices high and not competitive and gmo prices as high organic natural foods at other stores, even higher than other jewels nearby. Low amount of staff and gloomy setting. Also the fried chicken horrible and cooked horrible quality and ingredients

March is a busy month for me on the birthday side. I have always been able to count on the bakery for my celebration needs. Every time, without ordering ahead, I have been able to walk in and select a cake and all of my other party needs. The cakes/decorator are always so subperb. Literally, any day of the week, you can go in, pick out a cake that looks as if it was already customized for your specific needs. I’ve never used a privately owned bakery - Jewel has better quality, taste, and prices. My family always has a smile on their face when I arrive with selected treats. They would never guess, I purchased from Jewel. I will be returning, time after time, for my special moments.

Paid extra for delivery during a certain timeframe, order was about an hour and half late. First rep said to contact the store once delivery was received to receive some sort of compensation. I contacted the store to notify of delivery and second rep proceeded to tell me the driver would reach out to me - DoorDash and jewel was not responsible. The driver never reached out to me. Jewel has done nothing about it- yet they are the ones that outsource through their own app. Don’t pay for delivery through this Jewel location.

Was there today looking for ground chicken. I go to the meat and seafood butcher and ask for a lbs. right off the bat he was ignorant and just pointed to the meat aisle, Didn’t say a word. I go and look for the ground chicken and justcouldn't seem to find it. I go back to the butcher, I stand for a 5 mins after he saw me, pretending to look busy. I tell him I didn’t see it in hopes he could help me find it. Instead with an attitude he says if it’s not over there we don’t have it. Grabbed ground turkey instead but I will go out of my way to go to a different grocery store. I didn’t get his name but I believe he was an Asian American man with glasses.

Only 2 check outs open with approximately 10-15 people waiting in each lane and I get screamed at for attempting to use self check out for having a few over 15 items. Instead of worrying how many items I have in my cart, why don’t you open a lane. This store has gone down the toilet.

This One Is For The Bakery ! I Usually Don’t Write Reviews But I’ve Ordered Cakes But The Bakery Twice This Year One For My Family Reunion And One For My Daughters 6th Birthday Both Cakes We’re Superb ! I Mean Fresh Ingredients, Usually With Store Cakes Sometimes The Icing May Not Be The Best, At This Jewel The Icing Was So Fresh Both Times. The Ladies In The Bakery Are Always Amazing Sweet And Helpful ! Customer Service Is Amazing! From Now On I Will Be Getting All Of My Cakes From This Location ❤️

Very rude store Manager Michael tried to remove a 13-year-old girlFrom the Mobile cart, and when we told him she is disabled and just had back surgery. He then said that she doesn’t need it and we are not customers in the store and proceeded to have one of his associates threaten me and her saying she is going to get us whatever that means and then Proceeded to have another associate approach us and harass us her name was Tammy she told my niece to get off the cart because can walk,she also said go ahead and complain on me I’ve been here for years and she works in bakery as I can see there is no consequences for anyone actions am a loyal customer and I see this disgusting behavior and discrimination against disabled people, and completely ridiculous, that we needed to be harassed and attacked like this. This problem needs to be resolved.

The last four times I’ve used Drive Up & Go I’ve waited over a half hour while being the only car in the section. I’ve had to call the store and notify them then wait another ten minutes for them to bring the groceries out.

Overflowing garbage in all the cans inside and in the parking lot. Parking lot is full of garbage, store is in disarray. The employees dont seem to care. In the 24 years i have lived in this neighborhood, this is the worst ive seen this store. I wIll be looking for a new place to shop.

I love coming here to this Jewel's. It's clean, majority of the workers are friendly and they greet you with a smile, and they acknowledge you while your at the register spending your money. I pick my medicine up from their pharmacy and the employers have gotten a lot better when I come in. However, my husband decided to switch locations because of our experience when we first started picking our medicine up from there. Overall, I can say I like this store and location

As in most Jewel food stores? This one is well stocked and clean. U can easily find an associate to ask questions. As with other Jewel s? They are also a bit pricey. But? As they say? U get what u pay for. Even their own generic brands? Like Signature? Are of good quality.

The jewel itself is fine. The bathrooms have been through some things. From the dirt ring on the doors to the trash on the floors it's rather off-putting. When the bathroom looks like this, how clean are the people that shop and work there? I would just think about that but besides that it was good. It's like a true 3.5

AVOID THIS STOREIf I could give the store a zero or negative star I would. They are expensive. There was absolutely no registers open this morning and when I went to self check out I was told that I could only have 20 items at that register. Our family will never shop at the store again. There are too many other options.

First of all, I'm an Oak Forest Resident and love my Jewel, no "Jewels," kids!😉 On a serious note, I was there a few minutes ago and need to heap some on your Staff. Chris I believe a long time Veteran at the store was great..as usual. Ever vigilant, she came to my rescue at checkout. No biggie, but as a lot goes on as I notice. Yet Chris promptly helps me as I get on my day. Again, mundane stuff yes, but Huge in my World. I value my time as most others do too. I just want recognize your Awesome Employee at this store. Sure they get paid, but it's amazing to see a few still take in their work! Chris, Linda and the rest prove it daily.
