I went in to ask a simple question and spent about 20 minutes being educated by Paige in the aquarium department. She taught me everything I needed to know to make an educated decision for my aquarium, filter, accessories and fish purchase. She treated me like I was the only customer in the store and answered every question I had thouroghly. This location is not the closest to my house but I will drive the extra distance to be taken care of by Paige! BTW, she works the afternoon shift, you’re welcome!

I really like Tammy as far as grooming my dog. The other groomers are also nice. My pet peeve is when other customers do not respect the social distancing when it’s time to check in/out your dog. I think PetSmart needs to be more diligent as far as implementing that policy. It irks me when I’m trying to check in my dog and another customer just barges inside the grooming section, with their dogs instead of waiting outside until the process of checking in/out has been completed.

I believe overall this is a great store with a huge selection. The kids love to come here even if we don't purchase anything to look at all the animals. The only complaint is some of the employees have less than a stellar attitude, but still a store we stop at frequently.

We took our 20 week old golden doodle in for grooming yesterday. We were amazed at how well the staff interacted with a puppy who really has never seen anything like this before. A.C. was as gentle as they come. His professional manner and specific questions that he asked ultimately gave my dog, the perfect haircut and grooming. He looks great.When asking about the length that we wanted his hair to be cut, AC offered to cut it half way and when I picked him up if it wasn’t short enough, he would be happy to shorten it more. When I arrived to pick up my little puppy, he looked adorable but I did ask A.C. to take a little more off of his coat. 20 minutes later, my puppy looked amazing and smelled amazing too. He had an adorable bandanna around his neck and he just looked absolutely perfect. Thank you A.C. you’re a true asset to the company and a wonderful person to deal with. Thanks for taking care of our little guy and more importantly, thanks for helping me decide what length to cut it for his first cut.We will definitely be coming back for another grooming and cutting with A.C. He was excellent as were the other two groomers. Everyone that worked in the grooming department was very happy to help me and for that I’m truly grateful. See you in a few months.

I always do my grooming here and I’ve never had a bad experience. Violet is the one I try to book with as much as possible and she remembers my pet every time we come in. Today, I also made a pet supply run and Jack was very knowledgeable about the product assortment. This petsmart does carry CBD for pets and Doggijuana. Excited to try both!

Really good store! Robert helped me out picking fish for my grandson’s tank. Very knowledgeable and polite. Store is clean with large selection. Prices are very competitive but then again why cut corners for pets.Thanks Robert!

This review is only for their grooming salon. Should be a 0 star but lowest i can go is 1 and i give 1 extra for Ihor. their ENTIRE TEAM is horrible with cats except Ihor. I took my cats in for grooming and received them back with the worst haircut ever. hair was not dry, one of my cat had yellow stain on her leg could be that she pissed during the service and was never taken care of. there are bald spots and uneven cuts everywhere, some areas left untouched at all. one of my cat even was bleeding underneath her arm. I went furious on site and obviously, i'll never take them back again as i don't trust them will take care of them in the future as the team didn't even show any apology after. I don't trust their work and I don't trust they will not bully my cats in the future. Best advice is that don't take your cat there, if you have to, only to Ihor.

i’m not sure who our groomer was, when she came in to help us, she reeked of cigarettes. his trim turned out alright, however the lack of communication in terms of cost (i wasn’t getting what i initially wanted when i came in, she wouldn’t do it because she thinks he’s too young) was irritating in the end when the bill was just $10 short of what it would’ve been if i had just gotten what i wanted. the haircut is also uneven and odd in some places. will probably trust what i hear about petsmart groomers in the future and go to a puppy spa next time!

I have been taking my dog ( Benny ) to PetSmart salon since he was a puppy... I have been dealing with only the same two people... UBER & ABBY... They are AWESOME... Very bad experience, don’t buy Guinea pigs from them, seems like they don’t have healthy pets, we were told to buy them in a pair and they both died within 2 months, they have a strict guarantee policy but that’s still no excuses for this considering that’s way too soon for them to die. Kyle, the manager has no remorse or consideration even for getting my son a replacement, and seemed like he didn’t care at all, very bad management and service, not happy with this and will never purchase a pet from them again

Always helpful and friendly staff. They have however closed their clinic, so they no longer sell prescription food (my male cat is on a urinary diet, so when I need to get him the prescription food, I have to go somewhere else). They also have the same food shortages as everyone else.

Their dog training classes are terrific. Trainer Connie is patient and great with dogs. Our puppy loves her and the classes. Dog groomers are great too. One nice thing about the grooming salon is they can usually get you in on short notice. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful. Well stocked with everything you could need for your dog certainly and it appears so for cats also. Came here years ago for fish, gerbils, etc. and their supplies and they were good too.

i’ve been going to pet smart for my dogs whole life. he is 14. never had a problem. i told the lady to cut short(i’ve always said that) i pick him up and she shaved him to the point when u could see his skin. he is a fluffy dog and now he looks like a rat do not go to this location DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. very very disappointed 😡😡😡

This place has nice and helpful employees, and good selection of tank fish. Their Betta selection depends on the day that you come, but there are consistently good choices of tank fish. There are good places to get a dog's hair cut, and there are good supply of dog and cat food, and other supply's that are for animals of all kinds. There are a few turtles, lizards, snakes, ext., and the only thing that isn't awesome about this place is, well, it smells kinda bad. 😁

Dropped my dog off at 12:30 for a bath and trim and at 4:30 they called me telling me she would be done at 5. So what was she doing for 4 hours? Also told them not to trim her ears and they did.Will not be going there again.

I've always found great-friendly staff at this location. HUGE disappointment that they closed the veterinary clinic at this location.! I have nothing positive to say about the Banfield clinic, at the Vernon hills....EXCEPT TAKE YOUR PET SOMEWHERE ELSE!! They almost killed my 15 year old cat... seriously go somewhere else! They didn't call to check on him after this terrible experience! Needless to say both my animals WILL NOT ever go to this clinic location ever again! My stars are based off my experience with the grooming salon. I just had to mention my experience with the Vernon hills clinic. KEEP YOUR PETS AWAY FROM THAT SPECIFIC CLINIC!! Connie is a remarkable trainer! One of the best in the area!And the store leader is a freaking miracle worker! Great things to say all over.The petcare department at this location is full of knowledgeable associates with degrees in their craft, and just because i have to leave, doesnt mean there will be any impact on the experience of shopping at this wonderful den of happy memoriesSad to leave, but i had to move away. Went in Friday to purchase food for my dogs. In this current Covid-19 crisis and in Illinois, the store employee checking me out wasn’t wearing any kind of face covering or any kind of protection. No one else was around at the checkout lanes or to help out with carrying the bags of food. I’ll just get my dog food elsewhere as I help out a health- vulnerable family and can’t afford to get sick. Truly irresponsible.

My experiences have been very positive. Staff is helpful. Prices can be hit or miss but store and service makes it good. I have never taken animal classes here but the classes seem to get full on the weekends.
