Great customer service along with honesty is difficult to find, but here at Vale’s Auto Repair I found both. I called Vale’s for a tow truck and ended up trusting them do the work on my vehicle. After the vehicle was given back, the owner called me to make sure everything was ok with repairs and make sure I was satisfied. Price was reasonable and work was great! I highly recommend this place to family and friends and will be going back.

Best in the business! Truly a hidden gem of North Chicago! Not like typical mechanic shops in the area. The team at Vales actually care about their work and have high standards on how they operate their business! A mechaihc you can actually trust! Good prices and quality work! I had a breakdown at 1am with no idea what to do and in a city I don't know. Only Providence could have led me to make the wise decision to call Vale's. 1 hour after calling this company I was safely sleeping for the night and my car was on the way to get fixed. 9 hours after my nightmare i was on the road and at a competitive price too. The people here actually care. If you are ever in danger and need a helping hand, you should call them too. This is not just customer service, but real community.

I highly recommend Vale's Auto Repair & Towing. Valentin (the owner), his son, and his entire team are very knowledgeable and friendly. They found the nail in my tire, patched it up from the inside, and gave me great tips on my car (tire care, etc). I was in & out of the repair shop in under 1 hour. I will be coming back here for any car maintenance and repair in the future.So far I have returned for an oil change, tire replacement, strut suspension repair, and auto body repair after a car accident. I have been 100% happy with all the work that has been done, and the communication every time has been outstanding. It's rare to find such find such hardworking and honest people to trust with my car.

Scam! scam! scam! long story short I’ve been to this guy two other times before my recent ones and only because the things I needed done where an emergency and even then the price was a little iffy I recently just went to him for the third and final time for a job that would’ve costed me $370 which is OK because I expected to spend anywhere from $200 to $400. When the guy called me. He told me the job was $1000. I asked him why he said because he also fixed other things on my car that needed to be fixed keep in mind I did not give him consent to do any of that. He then stated, I thought you would’ve wanted it done, he ran of my bill from $370 to $1000 and all he can say is he sorry I tried taking my car and he wouldt let me go till I paid the $1000 on top of that the job it originally went in for didn’t even get done. I got my car back the same way it went in after spending $1000.

The father/son duo are ASE certified, and are very honest and good quality work. They also have a pet dog in the shop, that is very sweet and they take good care of it. But the reason I'm leaving a review is because I had to go to them after Nissan Dealership gave me an outrages quote for a single repair. This shop was very reasonable and fair with their quote. Great reliable service. I HIGHLY recommend them and can vouch for their service.

This is the best place we have gone in all of Illinois. They are honest they are fair and they work very fast. The prices are very reasonable for the work that they're asking to do. Plus they go out of their way to be able to help you and provide excellent customer service. They use those feet mats so they don't get dirt in your car. and we took the car to try and make sure it could pass inspection and they drove it to pass inspection for us just to make sure that their work had been completed.All in all top-notch place I will go there for the rest of my time in Illinois

I 100% recommend Vale’s Auto Repair. I don’t usually do reviews but my check engine light came on when I was leaving work today. I was freaking out and called Vale’s and they told me to bring it right in. Fast and great customer service. Their prices are very reasonable too. I will definitely be coming back for all my maintenance needs.
