I was super nervous about order fish/shrimp online but after reading some reviews I ordered a skittles 10 pack. 8 arrived alive and acclimated and are doing well in the tank, I did message and email about the DOA immediately per their instructions and haven’t gotten a response yet. I did get a wonderful mix and they’ve been amazing to watch I will be ordering again!

I’m Uber new to shrimp care and I ordered 3 blue ramshorn snails and 5 Blue Dream Shrimp. I actually received 7! One was a weeeee tiny baby almost like a tadpole!! My water parameters are perfect. The snails are cruising. I’m trying to get it more planted but so far so good. I have only been able to see 3 adult and that baby. I know two passed away a few days after acclimating and I was super bummed but I’m sure it’s something I did or did do. I’m otherwise extremely happy and stare at the all day. I def plan get to get more because I don’t want them lonely. They do peacefully coexist with my snails and that’s funny to watch!! Highly recommend!!!

10 Grade AA Red Cherry $52.99 🦐8 arrived out of the 10Acclimated shrimp per the instructionsI did not contact the Shrimp Farm regarding the dead shrimp since I had waited two weeks for the shipment.Fingers crossed the 8 survivors will reproduce.The Shrimp Farm owner Ryan communicated when I advised them the shipment was lost.100 gallon planted tank.Background: USPS lost the shipment for a week while it sat in Illinois. I contacted the Shrimp Farm multiple times letting them know the shipment was stuck and to check in at the post office. Shipment was suppose to be 2-4 days and ended up taking 9 days. Shrimp as expected looked stressed with two shrimp did not making the extended shipment journey.Breakdown with USPS created the biggest problem

The customer service from this company is hands down the best I have ever received! Usps messed up our shipping and Shrimp Farm was right behind us the entire time (the owner personally messaged me and ensured that if we had dead loss he would make it right). Even after the shipping disaster my fish and shrimp arrived in great health! I have purchased 3 times and will be back for a 4th! Thank you Shrimp Farm

Would be 5 stars, but I had chosen UPS 2 day and shrimp were sent USPS, which took 2 weeks due to USPS issues. I was refunded the difference though.Shrimp arrived alive and well, and had more than I ordered. I purchased 20 and around 25 were in the 2 bags, 3 of which were berried. Shrimp ranged in size, and where all a nice shade of yellow.

Awesome shipping shrimp arrived early. 8/10 were alive but that is just because it was pretty cold. If you find dead ones don’t be lazy like me and wait to request a partial refund. The rest were fine and in great health. They acclimated really nicely and are a great addition to my shrimp collection. Will be buying again and you should too.

I have ordered both shrimp and fish from The Shrimp Farm multiple times, and each time have not been disappointed. Every shipment my fish or shrimp have arrived alive and very healthy. At this point, I have not had one loss since adding them to my tanks. Follow up is great from the time they ship. Will definitely buy from them again!

All the shrimps arrived live. I opted for 2 day delivery.Bloody Mary were good sized and really red.Red cherries were smaller but received several extras.They are all thriving.

Ordered 10 blue dream shrimp, but they gave me an extra shrimp! Unfortunately, two of them didn't make it during transit, which is always a potential risk (received the shrimp 3 days after ordering). Customer service was great, and I was able to get a reply the same day. I was able to receive a refund (they also offer replacing the dead shrimp). The surviving shrimp have been doing great and their coloration is beautiful! Pricing is reasonable for the quality and customer service you receive.

I've been a customer of The Shrimp Farm for a while now, & they quickly became my favorite! Great products & customer service, every time. Though it's been pretty rare, once in a while a shipment will have a DOA, & the policy The Shrimp Farm has for that occasion is fantastic. However, in my many purchases, all the critters that made it have been healthy & acclimated very well.I highly recommend The Shrimp Farm for all your shrimpy needs! Check out some of the other aquatic critters, plants, & accessories they have while you're there!

We ordered 10 Red Shrimp. The ordering was smooth and shipment information quickly provided. Unfortunately the USPS did not handle the box with care, you could clearly see they damaged it and the poor little guys showed up unalive. The owners were quick to respond and apologize and make it right. Sometimes things go wrong but the compassion and friendliness from the company makes me confident we will be buying from them in the future. I would highly recommend them.

Great communication! Yes, our tiny orange mexican crayfish arrived alive. It is so much fun for the family to take care of. Many fresh water crabs are nocturnal, but the little crayfish is out and about during the day climbing the plants and decor. The only hiccup in the order was in USPS shipping. I thought normal priority shipping (2 to 4 days) would be fine, we are only two states away. However USPS somehow took 8 days to get the little guy here with unclear arrival updates arg. Ryan was great, quick kind responses to our concerns and an offer to get another sent out right away. But surprisingly, the crayfish named Claude survived and is now thriving. Thank you Shrimp Farm :)

Ordered 20 cherry shrimp on a Friday night. The order shipped the following Monday night like stated on the website and was here bright and early Thursday morning! There was one death, but there were two little babies that must have been born in transit. (Which was honestly super cool to see!) The shrimp are all very vibrate and colorful. 10/10 recommend ordering from the Shrimp Farm! Can’t wait to place my next order! :)

I’ve ordered several times, and will continue to order from The shrimp farm due to the quality of the shrimp that I receive. Whenever I have a question concern or need clarification, they’re always easy to communicate with and that is the biggest plus for customer service. You can tell how much they care for their little critters and their customers by their shipping steps letting you know when it’s sent out and on its journey to you…Also. when you should be receiving them… and the best step is when The package/Shrimp are out for delivery “ In your area by USPS …I don’t even know if a Big corporation that does that for their customers,, I feel that everyone could adopt a lot of their qualities they have for their customers.Just so grateful that I found them because I enjoy their little shrimp and Other products They offer.Keep up the good work “ at the Shrimp farm ,,thank you so much..

I am new to the hobby. I ordered fish from The Shrimp Farm and then realized my tank wasn’t fully cycled yet. I emailed customer service and received a prompt response from the owner, Ryan, advising me to wait. He said he would hold on to my fish until my tank was ready. 2 weeks later my water was level and I gave him the ok. I ordered 6 galaxy rasboras and was thrilled to receive 7 tiny little fish, they arrived within 24 hrs of shipping, were very lively, and colored up right away upon transitioning to the tank. Can’t say enough nice things about Ryan and The Shrimp Farm. I felt good ordering from someone who genuinely cares about their animals.

Purchased 10 cherry and 15 cleaners. Shipped quickly, however usps dropped the ball and took 9 days to get here. All except 3 cleaners were alive. Packaging was obviously excellent. Absolutely plan to purchase again once I Finish my next tank. Thanks again excellent communication.

I have ordered shrimp from them many times over the years and have been pleased with the results every time. No dead stock, vibrant and healthy colors as shown in the picture. Heck last time they tossed in an extra little guy for me, or he just got caught up in the net and hitched a ride. Always recommend them. Not to expensive for the quality of stock, the shipping (I got mine in the middle of a blizzard delivered and none were shocked due to the packaging). Vivacious shrimp too, I will give a shrimp pellet every now and then but they love my live plants' slight algae growth and natural biofilm and mulm and quickly adjust. Have only had one female get berried and after inrealized the poor things got sucked into my over the tank filter on my bigger tank, so I learned my lesson and got a screen for it.

Placed an order for ramshorn snails. I was pretty confident shipping would work out ok based on what I read through their website. Communication was great! I work in Normal, IL so I was able to visit the Shrimp Farm store front. They only have store front hours on Mondays. I wish they were open more often, but I appreciate that they at least have local pickup as an option at all. Everyone was very personable and helpful. They were running short on a couple varieties of the Neocaridina shrimp but that is understandable considering the mountain of outgoing shipments stacked neatly in the lobby. Ultimately I chose two blue dream shrimp, 2 blue velvet shrimp and two blue rili shrimp. They were kind enough to throw in a few extra shrimplets as well which was appreciated. The two rili shrimp died the first night despite a three hour drip acclimation and stable water parameters. Don't know why. Sometimes this happens but it is still unfortunate. Staff talked me through the pros and cons of dwarf crayfish and I opted to wait on those although they looked amazing! On the way out of the store they had me spin a prize wheel and I won 20% off my next purchase. All in all I was pleased with the experience and will patronize this business again soon.

We buy all of our shrimp from The Shrimp Farm! The quality far surpasses any shops with the same product, and the availability of what you want is never an object. My 5 year old LOVES visiting to look at all of their tanks! Customer service and education on their products are never lacking!A great experience EVERY time!

Just received my first order from The Shrimp Farm and couldn't be happier. 10 beautiful, healthy Cherry Shrimp arrived today in a perfectly packaged container. They were all active and full of color. They came with very specific instructions to make sure they safely transferred over into my aquarium. Excellent Customer Service from start to finish from people that truly care about the health and safety of what is sent to their customers.
