Great service through and through especially by the young woman working in the aquatic department. She answered many questions we had and was extremely knowledgeable. She helped us avoid making a mistake in our aquarium and advised us on the right thing to do. She added tips and advice on how to keep our aquarium clean and free of algae. Our aquarium has never looked cleaner and nicer!!Also, another associate gave us facts and information about sun conures and now we are considering one.Very helpful staff. Highly recommend shopping here for your pet needs or if you have any questions about pets. The staff seems very knowledgeable which you don't find at every pet store.

We had a great experience with the Fundamentals positive training course with Rachel!I was apprehensive taking him into the store for training, but honestly, the distractions worked well pushing the limits of his training. Rachel was patient and always quick to help us when we weren’t quite getting it.I highly recommend Petco for foundational dog training.

It's a bit pricey but very friendly & helpful staff. Our puppy did two levels of puppy classes there, he was absolutely excited for his class & liked his instructor, Rachel and we loved the classes too. Our puppy loves visiting petco, your will love it too.

I came to purchase some freshwater fish and found what I wanted. Assistance was a little bit slow but she was well informed and helpful with my questions. Store was well stocked and I was pointed to another item that was on sale.

I am thoroughly impressed with the aquatic fish, customer service, knowledgeable staff, and overall ambiance of the store. Nicole provided invaluable assistance, offering high-quality advice to enhance my aquarium, improve water quality, and boost the survival prospects of my fish. Additionally, she suggested excellent new additions to my collection. Nicole exuded confidence in her responses, substantiating them with factual information rather than mere speculation.In contrast to my previous experiences at a different local pet store, where I would often wait for upwards of 20 minutes for assistance from a less friendly and knowledgeable staff member, my visit to PetCo was a breath of fresh air. The store boasts a much larger selection of fish, with no wait time as staff members were readily available, and they were notably friendlier and more informed.

The store seems pretty well stocked. I don't have trouble finding help when I need it. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the pricing. That of course is not a reflection of the staff.

Petco never has anything that I need in stock for my cats, I don't understand!??? It's very frustrating when you have a sale or coupon but I'm not able to participate because you are out in store and online!? Petco is usually out of Purina Pro urinary wet food, slide cat litter etc. On a good note, I think the employees are very friendly and helpful!! Luckily I'm able to get most of my items at Pet Smart but would prefer to shop at Petco because it is more convenient and I like your in store customer service.

We had our toy poodle groomed twice. The first time he got fleas. We weren’t positive that it came from the grooming. We went the second time & the groomer absolutely butchered our boy. The only reason I pay to have him professionally groomed is because with chemotherapy I’m not able to. I feel so sorry for my boy. One week later and he still looks awful. When I spoke up to a family member they said that their dog got fleas there. No doubt in my mind that’s where he got them. Whoever groomed him shouldn’t be working with any pet. How she handed him back to my boyfriend as if nothing was wrong is beyond me.

Frequently they are out of stock of 40 lb bags of Heartland chicken & peas regular size breed. The response is always the same, they don't know when or if they are getting more. They always have this brand for large breeds. Can't understand why they can't get some from neighboring store & save me 1.5 hrs travel to another location. They always refer me to online purchase of which I am not interested in. What the heck?

It’s ridiculous that the cashier asked if I want a bag for my item bought. She did tell me it was like 5 cents ? I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of money there and now what do I get ? Have to pay for a bag? You mark your prices up anyhow and now I have to pay for a bag? Won’t be shopping here no more! Going to Walmart or Petsmart I’ve been customer for a very long time.

So I brought a bearded dragon for my daughter’s birthday. The bearded dragon ate plenty of salad and wasn’t too excited about the crickets. When I brought the beardie I was told it was shedding so when. I looked online it said it wasn’t uncommon for a beardie to lose its appetite while shedding. Fast forward a few weeks and my kid is in the hospital for a few days(I still have someone going to my house to take care of the beardie in the meantime) and the beardie was DEAD! I called petco and the manager had a HORRIBLE attitude, she had super slick comments. She said I should have called before now and blah blah blah I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL WITH MY SICK KID the last time I saw my beardie it was just fine moving around and everything. I didn't have an opportunity to see it being sick and then when I told her what online said she had a nasty attitude with that “I’d like to see that article” and I’d like better customer service AND empathy but I guess we can’t have that. I do NOT recommend this store. All the money I spent on a bearded dragon and you think I purposely let it die! It was an amazing birthday gift to my kid like REALLY LADY!!!

DO NOT USE THE GROOMING SERVICES. I took my dog here for a bath and grooming appointment and for the additional holiday package. Firstly they moved my appointment time to two hours later. When I was checking in my dog, they said they did not have anything left of the holiday package but they could "spray" her with pumpkin spice. (Still paid for the $25 package though). They said to sign paper work because they would be taking care of her. Later, when I come to pick her up she is in a kennel when I walk in, the appointment was less than an hour and she was damp. I go and pay quickly because they were closing..in 10 minutes, then take a look at her out in the car, no grooming was done. I was unhappy with how she looked and confused because she did not get groomed, her paws still outgrown and etc. We tried for days to contact them and then finally when their so called manager called us back and said they can not issue a refund because the paperwork we signed was agree to not get her groomed. That was not explained or discussed. That is a lie. So then we tried to argue that and explain...they HUNG up. You will get robbed if you use the services. Terrible and rude customer service.

Do people actually work here? I’ve been in multiple times and the only employees I can ever find are manning the registers. There’s never anyone to actually help you with products - and if there are, they are so busy with other customers. Hire more people. This has been an issue for a couple years.

Their staff has always been extremely kind, I buy a large bag of kibble for my dog every other month and love the curbside pickup option. I have a 5 month old and coming inside just to pick up a 35lb of dog food seems daunting! I typically run across the same employee in the evenings and she has always been sweet. Thank you!

Very helpful staff. I was looking all over for a product I used to buy years ago for my small breed dog dachshund. They stopped carrying the brand 6 months ago due to supply chain issues. The person I was talking to was the manager. She guided me towards the replacement product that was just as high quality of food that I previously been purchasing. Thank you so much!

They charge you for plastic bags, then take the "do it for mother earth" stance 🤣Edit: Sounds like a page right out of the democratic handbook. They make biodegradable plastic bags but they cost a lot more so thats why you dont use them. Instead use the bad ones and make a profit. Why not make it $1 a bag! Ya know show mother earth how much you really care while lining your ceos pockets! You stink and you know it! Ya still stink! How much ya charging fir bags now? Haven't been in since so thought I'd ask

We had our dog groomed here 3 years ago and had THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! It's 3 years later and our dog can't even go to the doctor without freaking out. We have done multiple groomers and worked with him at home and nothing works. We now have to put our dog under so the vet can keep him vaccinated and groom him. When I complained 3 years ago I was first told I made-up the entire situation up by the salon Manager. I just want to share this because 3 years later our dog still has issues from this one 5 hour appointment when he was a puppy. I will add he had gone somewhere else before and everything was perfect!! Unfortunately, they left and we tried here and man oh man do I regret that!! Our poor dog continues to struggle.

We usually take our furbaby to get Furminator at a local pet store. After the last few times we was not happy with results. So we took her to Petco. After talking with the Groomer we explain what we wanted. Took her in and after a few hours they called and said Sasha was ready. We picked her up and She looked like a million bucks.(which she is)..we are so Happy with the results. We Thanked the Groomer and left. As we walked around the store customers were stopping and telling Sasha how good she looked. We will be back. She looks and smells so much better and i know she feels better cause she was walking like she was a Beauty queen. Troy and Linda

My wife enjoys this store cause they sell saltwater fish, corals and other invertebrates. I enjoy the store. Cause they have a large selection of freshwater fish. The staff is friendly and helpful. The down side is the checkout process. There was 8 people in line and one cashier. If I was a local it wouldn't be a problem. When you have an hour drive home and want to stop at a couple other stores. Time is precious.

Store manager was very helpful. The time I arrived was Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The store had many customers. She took the time to explain the type of cat food I needed to purchase because Science Diet stock was low and the regular cat food was not available because of shipping issues. She was stocking the shelf and helping customers at the same time. There was complete coverage in the cashier areas also, even with many customers. Thank you.

I’ve been to this store twice since moving here, first time I was not impressed with selection of chews for my dog, second time I went to get mice for my corn snakes, the mouse quality was awful. The mice were all frozen together and covered in blood. One of my snakes wouldn’t even touch it. Will be going to another pet store to get my mice from now on.

Be careful buying fish. Quarantine and treat or you'll lose the fish you already have. Every time. They have sick, dying and dead fish in most their tanks. Fish are not grouped sensibly, angels with Africans, that sort of thing. Randomly relocating tanks full of fish for no good reason.
