We’ve had a 50/50 experience with PCH. We adopted a dog and kitten. Our kitten is absolutely amazing. Gorgeous and well behaved cat (because I raised her) but our dog is a different story. They lied to us telling us all these good things about the dog who was 3 when we adopted him and 3 months after he got home with us he completely changed and has been an absolute nightmare. He has almost caused my family to get kicked out of our apartment multiple times due to his behavior and he is absolutely horrible with my toddler. There is so much more wrong that this dog has done that PCH told us he wasn’t like. I do not recommend adopting from this place especially because I have been told by multiple people that they are two faced. They are all nice and friendly in person but the moment you walk out they slander their customers names. I’m disgusted with this facility. Plus this organization is not non profit. They made me pay $200 for my dog and another $200 for my cat. That’s profit. They make profit off their animals.

We have adopted all of our babies from shelters and foster programs and our most recent little one comes from this wonderful organization here ! PCH has helped us find our beloved Beatrice! She had many brothers and sisters who were also adopted out which is awesome to see! They really do take great care of their animals AND families, my most favorite part of adopting from them is there alumni group on Facebook! I love seeing all these adopters share their lives with their new family members, we grow so much together! I get to see advice people have on there and all the ideas and pictures they share are so warm and heartfelt. Pch isn’t just a foster / pet care organization it’s a family and it keeps on growing!!!! We see all the success stories, we check in from time to time and teach each other great care and training tips! Pch goes above and beyond to help these babies AND their families, you could definitely say this is an organization that cares and it shows !

We had adopted a great pyrenees mix from here in December 2021 and we could not be happier. The price was extemely reasonably considering they foster the puppies and had them fixed and started their shots already. They also promote community through their facebook page so we can continously see how our dogs siblings are growing up as well. The whole process was extremely smooth and whenever we had a question they answered quickly. I would adopt another dog from here in a second.

I adopted this adorable puppy but had to return him only after a short time, to be re-adopted where he would be a better fit bc I couldn't find a feasible way to remedy his severe separation anxiety.Despite this unsuccessful adoption, my experience with the shelter has been stellar. They're organized, the puppy was well cared for (came with meds he was taking as precaution for a minor issue, full medical records, and contact info of the foster), and the return process was simple.

Had a fantastic experience adopting through PCH. I received a phone call days in advance of the adoption and had a great conversation about Lulu (who I adopted) and about dogs in general. The process was lights out. I was given a time to pick up, walked in and was greeted by 4 happy faces, got additional info on my pup and we were on our way. Can recommend PCH to anyone looking for a smooth and easy pet adoption!

Our experience with PCH was wonderful. Adoption process was very smooth, caring and professional. The kitten we chose, who was in a foster's home was exactly as described on the adoption page. He came to us healthy, happy and well cared for. He has fit in perfectly with our two established cats and is a wonderful addition to our family.

We adopted Bella (Trixie) when she was just 6 months old in 2019! She has been the perfect addition to our family and I can’t believe it’s already been 3 years💕 we’ve had our ups and downs of chewing, running off, or just being to busy on her next adventure to give a hoot if mom is calling for her! But she’s my Bella girl💕 she loves being a farm dog but aside from that she loves car rides, a good nap😴, and playing with her kiddos!

Pets Central Helps changed our lives and helped us get through the worst of Covid. We live rural; no traffic and on 12 acres of habitat, but until we found PCH we could not adopt a new kitty. PCH believed us when we shared how long our cats live (19 years and counting) and how we provide excellent veterinarian care. We adopted Comet-19 (the orange one) last winter and he is living the life! Thank you for giving us such joy and hope, PCH!

We adopted the healthiest, cutest puppy at PCH! The process showed they really valued matching their pets to Families. Their policy included 30 day time period to make sure he was a good fit. This was important due to my daughter having had allergies in the past. When our vet did the 1st evaluation it was obvious he received excellent care and the vet commented that he was complete in vaccines. Their app was helpful in accessing good information on development of our puppy through different stages and how to care for him. When unique behaviors were noticed the PCH behavior specialist consulted us over the phone with excellent ideas and advice that resulted in improvement. We will be forever thankful for our new family member, he is beyond amazing bringing joy to all who are greater by the biggest tail wag!! ! ❤️❤️❤️🐶🐾

Can’t thank Pet Central Helps enough for hooking my husband and I up with one of the best loves of our lives, our darling boy Mr. Lawrence (fka: Radar). We adopted Mr L. from PCH and couldn’t have been more pleased with the process. Those ladies really hustled to pull off the adoption! Gina was so patient with my millions of calls (“Is he still available? Is he still available???” 🙄) and Mr L’s former fosters have been do sweet about checking in on him. It was a seamless process and we are completely in love with our Best Boi. ❤️

Pet Central Helps is a wonderful organization! Each and every person we have encountered since adopting Stella has been so kind and caring. They truly care about placing the animals with the right family. We have gone to the family manners class with Val since adopting in August and that has been a great and helpful experience as well. They deserve so much praise!

Pet central helps held an adoption event at Pet Smart in march of 2019. I was looking to get a dog to register as my ESA. That day, about 3 years and 2 days ago, I met my best friend that I love more than I can express. The staff did a great job of matching me with my perfect pup and even added me to a Facebook page where I can reconnect with other people that own puppies from the same litter. My dog, Maverick, is the best thing that ever happened to me and I have PCH to thank. <3Thank you!!

We adopted our dog Marshall this past summer at a local adoption event. The foster parent and staff were all very sweet, compassionate, and helpful. We could tell how much they all truly cared for each and every dog at the event. They absolutely wanted to make sure each pet went to a loving home. They made the process very easy for us and were always available to answer any and all questions we had. As first time dog parents, we appreciate the time and attention they provided. We can tell our dog was well cared for during his time there. We were informed they rescued him from another shelter in Kentucky. We are so thankful they saved his life ❤️. Thank you for all the great work you do. We highly recommend adopting from PCH.

I adopted my pup in 2020 from PCH and appreciated the transparency that the foster and leadership showed in regards to what I may expect as the puppy grew. I am so glad that I made the jump to become a multiple pet mama! Here is our gentle giant!

After losing our wonderful 7 year old white shepherd, we decided to look for a puppy to adopt. Pet Central called my wife shortly after we put in our application and did a phone interview. We waited a week and were able to pick up our new puppy. The staff were extremely friendly, supportive, and giving. We received all of his medical paperwork, toys, treats, and a bed. The foster parent even let us spend some time with the pup's litter! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Pet Central Helps held an adoption event at our local PetSmart on a Saturday in August of 2019. My wife and I went in to get cat food and litter, but we also walked out with this sweet boy! He’ll be 3 this year and is a happy and healthy cat. Pet Central Helps had him up to date on his shots and at a healthy weight. I would absolutely adopt from them again!

I have adopted 2 animals from PCH, a kitty & a pup, and can't say enough about how wonderful the experience was! I always felt the organization was being truthful and honest with me in regards to each animals history. And very much believe they only wanted what was best for us both. I would highly recommend adopting from this organization or volunteering to help!

I have adopted 2 dogs from PCH and both times the process was quick and easy! My first guy, Jack, had been returned a couple of times already (through no fault of his own), so I know that if something happened where I had to rehome him, PCH would help me. My younger dog, Coraline Jones, had parvo before she was available to be adopted- without PCH, she and her siblings would have died. I can't say enough good things about PCH!

Adopt, don’t shop! Pet Central Helps is an amazing organization saving lives left & right. We found the perfect match in our German Shepherd Dog. She’s gentle, kid, watchful, and protective of our home and family. We are so blessed by her love. The volunteers at Pet Central Help went above and beyond to make a love match for us, as well as answering tons of questions along the way! The facility is clean, organized, and well run. The team there communicates clearly and timely. They run the facility very well. Super great place! Highly recommend!

We've been lucky enough to adopt 3 pups from Pet Central Helps. For each adoption, the staff was both kind and helpful. The adoption process was a breeze. When one of our dogs started showing behavior issues, we were so thankful that they offered free dog training classes to help get her on the right path in life. If you are considering adopting a pet from them, don't hesitate because they are a top notch nonprofit who has the best interests of both pet and future owner at heart.

We adopted our Rosie Posie (formerly Walnut) in February! She’s amazing. The whole adoption experience was wonderful and I had such a good conversation with Deb when she did the initial phone interview. I tell everyone how easy and thorough this experience was and now I have a new baby 😀

PCH is a wonderful organization. Their staff is kind, caring, and knowledgeable. They helped us find the perfect fur baby to complete our family after losing our precious baby at the age of 19. We never felt pressured or rushed into an adoption and they helped us look for several months. Highly recommend!

We adopted Dixie (Petunia) through PCH six months ago. It was an amazing experience. The staff was professional, thorough and unbelievably helpful. Our Dixie is everything we hoped for and more. We love her so much and can’t imagine life without her. Thank you PCH!

I've had the great opportunity to work with a number of rescues, including fostering for three separate rescues. Pet Central Helps is an amazing rescue that steps up and saves lives of dogs who would otherwise be euthanized for space. Pet Central works hard to ensure that all animals are placed with the right family. One part of rescue that people don't understand is that when you bring an animal home - there can be drastic differences between how they behaved in a shelter verses how they behave at your home - and Pet Central Helps is very proactive about working with adopters to be sure both the animal and the new family are happy. They have a behavioral specialist on staff and offer free training classes. As a PCH foster I've watched as new homes don't work for either the pet or the new family - and PCH goes above and beyond to either help fix issues or to take the animal back. I had one dog who was returned three times - but the Pet Central Helps goal is clear - they want what is best for the pet and the family - and if that requires that the animal be returned - that is handled with no judgment or criticism.Pet Central takes in medical cases that other rescues cannot because of the skill and training of the director. All pets are adopted with a complete medical history - there's 100 percent disclosure - because anything else just sets up both sides for failure. In 2021 I became part of the Pet Central Helps alumni group after I adopted Gryffin (who was my foster). The adoption process was seamless. I'm so grateful to have stumbled across them and encourage everyone who is looking to add to their family to contact them!

My experience with PCH was the best! We live out of town, and in the middle of the pandemic told my children we were going for a ride, where we met the very, very best girl! I thank PCH every. Single. Day. For saving this precious angel and allowing us to be her furever home! 😍

Adopting from Pet Central Helps was an easy process. The fee was affordable and they also paid for my new furry member to be spayed and have her cherry eye fixed in Bloomington at an animal hospital. She was in such good hands. I adopted my best friend, Sadie, 5 years ago already! She is spunky, sassy, cluddly, and full of personality. I truly wouldn’t know what I would do without her. When they say your pets become a member of your family, it’s true. So thank you Pet Central Helps for rescuing my Sadie and bringing her to me. ❤️❤️
