I ordered the house cortado, which was outstanding and served with a small glass of sparkling water. My wife got a caramel latte which was not too sweet. Closed my eyes and thought I was at a cafe in Europe. These folks know what they're doing and it's always appreciated. Latte art was on point too! The coffee is front and center here, Other places might have better nibbles and eats but it just may well be the best coffee in the area. I'll be back.

The barista always wants my name. I observe. She never wants from anyone else. Why do they want from me only? Is it xenophobia? I am here for two years and I often visit your cafe.I always ask for extra hot coffee. I get warm at best.

I experienced very rude workers at this coffee shop. I asked for a traditional cap in ceramic and 2 pour overs. The traditional cappuccino was served to me in a paper cup. I asked nicely to please put in a ceramic cup as ordered. The employee got very rude with me and reluctantly made one in a ceramic cup. I then noticed the other employee pouring water through the bleached filter, but reusing it for the pour over coffee. I asked her to use fresh water for the actual pour over like you are supposed to. She did not like that and got upset with me. The manager then came out and gave me a refund. The manager stated I was right about how to do a pour over. I will never go back to Coffee Hound after being a customer for 15 years. These employees ruined 😡 it for me!!! I am appalled 🤯 how the service has gone downhill. I will now go back to Peoria where they know how to serve their customers with a smile. Coffee ☕️ Hound better learn how to treat their customers. I am done and pissed!!! Word of mouth will hurt this place and I will make sure of it. Do not go here to buy coffee!!!! They must have gotten too big for their britches!!!

Oat milk latte was textured perfectly. (I work in the coffee industry for 7 years now). I love a coffee shop that actually takes time to do latte art even if they put a lid on the cup. It proves that they are trained consistently and care about each drink. I would say it's a bit overpriced. $6.37 for a medium oat milk latte (no flavors) is pretty ridiculous. Should not upcharge that much for milk to be honest.

I enjoyed the environment that includes plenty of tables to study or socialize. Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. Great place for coffee and pastries. I had the cafe cortado and a chocolate croissant.

Really wonderful coffee. Ordered a latte and it was delicious and my fiance ordered the avocado toast and was not disappointed! Reason for 4 stars, is that there were no gluten free options for food. Not even individually wrapped pre made items.Dietary restrictions: No options for gluten free

Tasty coffee with different flavors for it. Not bad prices and good location. I like the atmosphere inside. ☺Update 8/2023: the servers are polite and make each drink with care. Plenty of parking if you find a 2 hour parking lot, or parallel parking that's typically for 1 hr. The atmosphere is loud but sociable.

It seems Coffee Hound would benefit from a bit of proper supervision. The baristas seem more interested in talking amongst themselves than brewing coffee. In our most recent trip, the barista's friends came in and were allowed to bypass the line. That's a frustrating experience when you're in a hurry. I have not been enjoying my experiences in the spring 23 semester.

Waaaaaay changed. Used to be a pleasant place with good coffee. Now the coffee is consistently stale and sour, and the pastries are hard as rocks and taste like cardboard. The display case and the counters and tables are all filthy and scattered here and there, and the food looks days old. There are no labels in the display case. The bathrooms are filthy. The baristas clearly don't care. The place used to be really nice. It used to be a fun and clean and cozy and bustling and friendly place to sit and meet people. It is no longer that. It is loud, unpleasant, and just truly sad. What a monumentally depressing shadow of its former self. What a shame.

Coffee Hound makes really good coffee—probably the best in town. However, the place is all about waiting, waiting, and more waiting with only one register and one person to make the coffee even at the most crowded times. Unfortunately, nobody else seems to complain and that gives the place no initiative to change, but I hope more and more will notice and be vocal about the long wait times in this chain.

So, Coffee Hound is definitely the fanciest coffee in Normal. I just have a hard time loving it. It's hard to hang out here, unlike the Coffeehouse down the street. I don't know what it is - the staff were great, and I don't think I'm offending anyone by saying they're the best baristas in Normal. All the same, this is not my favorite coffee shop in Normal. Is it the price? The music selection? I can't say. Just never loved this spot.Legitimately though, if you really want a silly floret drawn on your latte, go here. It will taste amazing, too, and probably be the best crafted espresso you've had anywhere, ever.
