I recently purchased a second bird from Eli. Throughout this whole process, Eli has been a pleasure to deal with. He has answered all of my questions and is very knowledgeable. He even gave the bird a kiss before putting him in the carrier to go home. You can tell he truly cares about each individual bird in his store. This baby is extremely well socialized. After settling in on the car ride home, he was already attempting to sing along to music with baby noises, preening and attempting to talk. He showed no signs of fear in his new surroundings at home, stepped up right away and sat very patiently on a stand while I set up his cage. My family had owned one of the most renown tropical bird stores in the country and had an international reputation of being among the best bird breeders from the 1980 to early 2000’s. I have been around thousands of domestic tropical birds in my life. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of knowing some of the top leaders in the industry including Breeders and Vets.We have now purchased two Amazon Parrots from Birdman’s Parrots in the last 5 years. Each hand raised baby has been very healthy and well adjusted. Eli is extremely caring about his birds, making sure they are really ready to go to the new owner, on a phenomenal diet and in healthy condition. He feeds them a well fortified, top notch diet and has them in VERY clean cage conditions. He deeply cares about each bird, making sure the buyers understand the true obligation of owning a bird, the proper care, training and attention needed. His toy and supply selection is top notch offering a vast selection of species specific toys.Eli, the Owner of Birdman’s is definitely a national leader among this generation of breeders and bird sellers. Eli was very helpful. He talked with me about my new bird, advised me of cage size, shared with me correct food for my baby, and helped load my bird safely in my car. Eli then checked with me the following day to make sure all was well. My golden was eating and snuggling as if we were old friends.

My husband and I just purchased two blue and gold Macaw parrots. It has been a wonderful experience working with Eli at Birdman’s Parrots. He takes amazing care of his birds and they are all hand fed. Our parrots arrived home with us healthy and very tame. We were able to handle them immediately without any issues and Eli continues to be very supportive with answering any of our questions on raising parrots as new ones arise. I highly recommend coming here if you’re interested in buying a bird. Be aware there are many scammers out there, which made it very frustrating searching for a bird initially. We are so happy we found Birdman’s Parrots!! We would never buy any place else!

At first I’m so afraid because I don’t live in IL and never had experience with shipping the bird. Eli is awesome, he answered all my questions, live video call to see the baby bird and get me update weekly by taking short video clips. And then on the day I pick up my baby somehow it was canceled from the flight and rebooked to fly on the next morning, that drove me to crazy nervous ( I’m wondering is it Ok for the baby to stay over than 12 hours at the airport without caring ). During that hard time Eli reassure me and helped me to contact them to rebook the flight, sent me a new flight schedule to pick up the baby. Thank you for everything u did an awesome job Eli.

Birdman's Parrots was such a great experience. I called ahead and asked if they had any sun conures available and Elias informed me that there were some available as well as his availability (this was Christmas Eve). I drove up immediately to "look"... and well, I brought home a wonderful baby sun that day. This is day 5 of us being together and baby bird is already super curious about the space and me. I can tempt them with seed from my hands. They are soo cute and adorable. We're already beginning "step up" training (They seem to try and steal seed from me before stepping up LOL) I'm having so much fun. You can tell that they were handled and hand raised. The birds at the shop trust Elias (I was kind of jealous,) but I'm so glad I chose this shop to bring home another bird friend. I even picked up a couple perches when I was there. He recommended a great vet who was able to get me in for a general check up really quickly, as my normal vet takes a while to schedule, and baby bird passed with flying colors. I can’t even describe how good of a experience I had at Birdmans Parrots, Eli was so welcoming the first day i came in and it stayed like that for each visit, Eli went out of his way to let me come to the shop 2-3 times a week to visit with my bird till he was ready to come home. He would never rush me and he would always answer my million questions each time I came in, he also answered all my phone calls about updates. Eli really made sure that my baby boy meadow was fully eating on his own before sending him home, he also is able to get there DNA test for you along with common disease tests. Eli socializes with all of his birds so they are exposed to human contact and that really helps when taking them home and continuing with training. I will definitely be coming back to the shop anytime I need supplies!!! Best bird store in Illinois, go check it out!!!

Great experience! Fast responses, easy payment online for deposit and in person at pickup. Store is clean and well kept, birds look very happy and healthy. My baby is perfectly healthy, great appetite and already adjusting to our family after just a few days. I drove 3 1/2 hours to pick up my baby and I'm glad I did!

Eli truly cares about his birds, and I cannot recommend him enough. Our little Nova acclimated herself to our home immediately. She was obviously used to attention and companionship from humans as she became bffs with my husband immediately. She always wants to be around us and will screech if she is missing the action. Nova has a HUGE appetite and will eat from our hands. She is already succeeding with trigger training and responds to her name after us having her for only 5 days.I will definitely go back when we are ready for our next bird

We got our Blue Headed Pionus from Birdmans Parrots. We are extremely satisfied with the entire experience. From Eli answering all of our pre-purchase questions to all of our questions we have had since receiving our baby girl. Eli has also continued to follow up with us to ensure that she is adjusting well to her new home. The shipping was done with great care to ensure her safety as she traveled from Chicago to North Carolina. I would definitely recommend Birdmans Parrots to anyone considering adding a bird to their family. Birdman is a great place to get your bird. I can without a doubt tell you he is invested in his animals and cares alot. In comparison to the other stores around (Parrot Star) I truly believe you will have a great expierence when conducting business with Birdman. For reference we bought a Sulphur-crested cockatoo. My husband and I bought a 6 month old baby white bellied caique from Birdman’s parrots today. We visited the store a few times prior to choosing our new feather-baby. Eli (the owner) was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions and giving us advice on how to take care of our new baby before we take him home. It was clear from all the times we visited his store, that Eli works diligently with all of his birds, to socialize them. They are all well-loved, very well taken care of, and physically and emotionally healthy. The store is always clean, and Eli is friendly and welcomes new customers and their questions. He makes sure that his customers are satisfied. My husband and I are incredibly pleased with our fur baby, Skittles, and highly recommend getting a bird from Birdman’s parrots. You won’t be disappointed. After doing our homework as we searched for a bird, we are glad we paid Birdman’s parrots a visit! The man (owner?) was not nice. We asked the price for a beautiful yellow bird and was told that it is not for sale as it is his own pet. There’s no sign at all showing it is not for sale. And he said only the little parrots are for sale and the price is $6000 each. That’s ridiculous price. I googled it and it usually cost $1000 each. I think he hates Asian people.

My husband and stepdaughter love Birdmans Parrots! Milo is such a fun and amazing bird! They have had Milo for 4+ years and he is 💯 part of our family! We also have a beautiful sun conure named Leo and a green cheek conure named Kiwi. It is truly wonderful how much Birdmans Parrots loves his birds, that love definitely still shows in our birds!!! We got our turquoise pineapple green cheek conure, Pixel, from Eli about 3 months ago. I can hardly imagine our family without him! He arrived healthy, happy, and great with people including kids. We live out of state, so Eli shipped him using air freight. It went very well. Even the next day or bird was ready to explore and play! I would go back to Birdmans for any parrots we want to get in the future.

BOUGHT A SICK BIRDI wouldn't even give him 1 star of I could. Basically just fully paid out a baby bird in a full payment. He basically gave me a sick bird. I noticed she was vomiting on the way home. I didn't think anything of it because some get motion sickness from car motions . The next day and other days Days go by and she's still throwing up here and there. At first I was thinking she was doing it cause of over eating cause she was always eating . But she was also doing the feed me response that babies due when they are hungry. I thought that she did it cause she was still a baby and was just over eating to why she was regurgitating. The throwing up got to the point where she could no longer keep food or water down. Well my bird just died . I have paid to get X-ray done and vet visits for nothing . My vet told me that the bacteria she had was non resistant to antibiotics and that it had to come from the breeder or the parents of the bird. And that birds will hide their illness until it's too late. Well my too late came in and now she's gone. My vet kept telling me to message the store and see if there was anything he could do since I only had her for 2 months and basically was given to me sick and the the bacteria overgrown her in her crop. With his high high prices for his birds he sells they should already come vet checked as well . not just checked for certain disease. A whole clean health bill before they leave. Cause his bird are high in priceIt was hard just even getting my bird seen because everywhere is booked for visits. His thing was I should have seen a vet with in 2 days of purchasing and that I should have messaged him about the illness. I thought she was over eating that's why she was throwing up cause she was eating constantly.but the whole time she had a killer bacteria . I wasn't at home enough cause I work alot so if only get 3 to 4 hours with her .She kept eating because she was throwing it up thats what she kept doing doing the feed me cry . I don't know but I would highly advise buying birds from this man . I spent all this money for nothing but heart break. I wouldn't recommend this breeder WATCH OUT. BE SUPER CAREFUL . just because a bird looks healthy doesn't mean it's healthy they hide their illness until it does. My baby died from a bacterial infection that wasn't curable with antibiotics.

We picked up our 4 month old green wing macaw August 5th. He has thrived and grown in the month and a half we’ve had him. He didn’t regress at all after he came home and was very open to all the different food we offered. Fantastic personality, full feathered, extremely playful. He’s an absolute joy! We were extremely happy with all communication we had which included updates, pictures and video while we waited for him to wean. We will be back for another!

Purchased a 7 month old Solomon Island eclectus a couple weeks ago. We absolutely love it! This is the second bird we have gotten from Birdmans parrots. I came in looking at two other birds but with the help of birdman he took the time to walk our family through the purchase of the right bird for us. I would definitely recommend going to birdmans parrots! Owner is very knowledgeable about all of the birds and very helpful in recommending a bird that might suit you and your needs best if you don't know what kind of bird is best for you.Always has a good selection of birds to choose from especially cages set up and ready to go if needed and a good selection of bird toys.I would definitely recommend visiting this place more than once never know what types of birds he might have next 😀

Birdman's is a great place to get your future baby bird from!Eli has helped me ALOT in the past with cockatiels, and he is now in the process of helping me with my newest and bigger bird purchase. He has been soo patient with me and my many questions, concerns or anxieties about different species I was looking into. I know I am not the easiest customer, but its only because I really want to be confident in my decision. He understands what I can and cannot handle in my household as far as pets go. The babies at his shop are sooo sweet and healthy! They all clamor to you for attention because they are soo used to handling from Eli. Raising baby birds is not an easy job and he does this around the clock! Baby birds need night time feedings!! I highly recommend you go here for you next (or first!) feathered friend! Do not buy from big box pet stores, those pets aren't handled and the people working the departments are no where nearly as knowledgeable as Eli!

We have nothing but great things to say about Birdman's Parrots! Eli was very helpful, kind, and patient with us. We would ask for pictures of our Timneh African Grey Parrot about once a week. For Eli being so busy with all of the other birds, he would send us pictures when he could. It was great to see the progress of our baby. The shipping was very easy. It saved us from driving 5-6 hours to Chicago. (We live in Iowa about an hour from the Des Moines airport.) Eli included food and formula. Our baby was excited to get out of its carrier when we got into the car. It ate well, was excited to explore the toys, and seemed to fit right in with our family like it had always lived here! Thank you Birdman's Parrots (and Eli) for having what we wanted and taking such great care of these amazing creatures!

Eli is a lifetime bird owner and it shows in everything he does at his store. The store is clean with almost no bird smell, and he will happily talk about birds and answer questions as he hand-feeds every bird in the store. The birds are all used to being handled and I believe any bird in the store would make a good family pet.

Birdman's Parrots has some of the best service in helping you pick out a bird that is right for you. They have a wonderful selection of birds of any kind and they provide some very helpful information on taking care of a bird, as well as their plentiful stock of food, toys, cages, and even avian safe candles. I would highly recommend looking here for any sort of bird needs. I personally picked up these two birds a few days ago and they are some of the best behaved and cared for birds I've ever known.
