I've been to three different Pep Boys and each time everything was fantastic. I came in with what I thought was a simple burnt-out bulb issue that turned out to be rodent damage. The service managers were friendly and helpful throughout the experience and the mechanic took the time to show me the repairs he was going to do and afterwards showed me his finished work and talked about tips on how to prevent from happening again. Easy to schedule too. Perfect experience.

This location is very unprofessional. I scheduled a 12 pm appointment for 11/26/23. I had the ability to check in after waiting in line for 15 minutes. Once I checked in with Kyle a store employee, he asked if I was, going to drop my car off or wait for it. I informed them that I would wait. He later mentioned that there were several other cars in front of me that were in to receive tire service as well. (total of 2) I had no problem with waiting. I later overheard Kyle mention to another customer who was there waiting for 2 hours that they didn’t have the tires that he needed in stock. After hearing that, I got up and went to the front to speak to their technician to confirm if they had my tires in stock because I did not want to go through the same situation as the other customer did. Per the technician, my tire size was in stock, and he just serviced two other cars with the same size, so I had nothing to worry about. So, after waiting 2 1/2 hours, Kyle came to inform me that they only had 3 out of the 4 tires in stock and that he took my car down and brought it back to the front for me to leave. Kyle did not provide good service or even try to resolve the issue. He could have offered one of many options:• Could have offered to call another store to see if they have all 4 tires in stock• Could have offered to place the 3 that were in stock on my car and to come back when the 4th one was available• Provide some type of apology or compensation for future service, considering the amount of time that was lostBefore any store checks a customer in, you should confirm that you all have inventory to service your customer so that valuable time is not lost and not blame the website for providing misleading information. I’m so happy that I did not prepay for my services because that would have been another 7-14 business days for my credit card to be refunded because of their negligence! I hope this review reaches corporate ASAP, so they are aware of how their store is being run.Lastly, this location did not deserve any stars. But the only way I would be able to post my review was to select a rating.

I have been taking my cars here since 2007. I can't speak for all locations but this one has always done top notch work. The prices seem fair and the customer service has always been good.

What a great experience I just had today at pep boys Naperville. I am new to Illinois and Anthony the manager and Kyle the sales associate were so knowledgeable kind and professional. Anthony the manager was amazing he mounted and balanced my new all season tires to my existing kmv wheels. I will be back next month with my other vehicle. Thank you gentlemen so so much 🙏🙏

This location has consistently been my go-to for oil changes, scheduled maintenance and repairs when I can't hit up my brother. These folks are professional and efficient every time I come in, Anthony is a great manager, he and his crew all deserve raises!

I had a tire blowout coupled with needing new front rotors and brake pads. I couldn't afford not having my car. Anthony and his team worked well past closing to get the job done form. Highly highly recommend going here. Anthony is extremely helpful and down to earth guy. Runs a great ship!!! 10/10

Charged nearly $600 to replace 2 u joints on driveshaft. Both u joints cost about $73 so $500 plus in labor for 2 1/2 hours of labor? I will NEVER use pep boys again for anything. Enjoy

Brought my car into the Naperville shop recently and got 4 new cooper tires with wheel alignments. Mechanics broke one of my plastic hub cap and left some noticeable scratch/drag marks on the other two without notifying me. Spoke with front desk staff about the matter but had to go back to the shop two times because picture of the damage wasn't taken first time. Manager wasn't able to get the identical replacement from Nissan because he forgot to ask me my VIN number before I left town for two weeks. I initially left a one-star review because the sub-par service experienced. However, the manager was able to get a hold of me and make it right before I went out to buy them myself. Although the whole process was frustrating, I don't think it's fair to give them a one-star review since the front desk staff and manager were courteous the whole time, so I'm changing it to a three-star.

i have "pep boys prepaid plan" for oil change, i have done it approximately 7-8 times before with no problem, i have done it in this location before with no problem, this time the guy at front desk he said he has never seen anyhthing like this before (prepaid plan), i told him the check records that i have done it here before and other locations, he figure it out, then came to me and asked 33$ extra, this is prepaid plan i ALREADY PAID for the service that i said and asked why i have to pay extra 33? which none of this previous guys asked me for, his answer is "last times they gave me 33$ discounds(which they never told me they gave me 33$ discount) but this time they can not because THEY DO NOT WANT TO LOSE MONEY" im like i have prepaid plan i habe already paid, i had no issue before now you tell me you can not figure out what is going on with my pep boys prepaid plan and tell me you ask 33$ extra because you do not wanna lose money?? i asked him to print that what he ask for, of course their system got down could not do anything with computer! i called the car care plan service which provided me this prepaid plan, they said there is no way they have to done this oil change with zero cost! which how i have before! they just so unprofessional, uneducated staff, the attitude and everything was not even close to be helpful, i can not even trust them at this point that they will give me full synthhetic oil change thye could do just regular and say changed with synthetic! biggest scam ever, please stay away, do not let the scammers make profit

Iam completely disappointed with the service here. I have called them in the morning around 9:30 they said to walk in because i don't have an appointment. I appreciate them for this. And after waiting for 2 hours and wasting my money i am not satisfied for their work because i have to drive back to them for their improper work. I lost my complete day spending here.

Anthony, the general manager at this location has a mechanic background he’s just not front of the house. He spoke to me directly about the concerns with my vehicle and gave me the best recommendations while offering great value. I continue to go to Pep Boys knowing that I’m gonna get great service at a great value and technically sound work that is always guaranteed. I would recommend Anthony and his team for any vehicle maintenance and tires.

Came in to get an estimate for my brakes after work and it only took about 30 minutes. I never felt any pressure to have the work done right away. I was able to review the quote and once I decided to get the work done, they were gracious enough to squeeze me in before they closed! I was so glad I was able to take care of everything all in one trip and super quick! Dominic provided excellent customer services and his team explained everything extremely well so I could understand what was being done in my car. Highly recommend them!!!

Come here for honest and good work.Had the pleasure of working with David who is the manager and Anthony who is the mechanic at this Pep Boy and they were both amazing. We had a tire alignment done with Discount tires, that caused issues. These guys let us know of that fact and gave us an affordable solution!Anthony and David were both wonderful to us!

Took in a used car I was buying for my son to check it out. The mechanic Anthony and the Manger D took care of me. The mechanic brought me out to the see the underside of the car and told me what that car should go for. D printed up an estimate of the repairs recommended so that I could use it to negotiate the price of the car. I got a big discount off the offering price. Anthony offered one of my best experiences working with a shop car mechanic. I work on my own vehicles so it won't cost that much to fix the needed items. It was well worth the money to have them look at the car for just the negotiating tool. I plan on having them do the alignment.

Stopped by Pep boys last night with an emergency situation at the Naperville location on rte 59 and 34. They were closed but the manager was excellent. He did not have to assist me but took extra time out of his day and not only helped me pick out the right tire to match the other in my trunk i was going to install, but did not rush in the process. I was so impressed by the level of service he exhibited I decided to let them put the tires on my car rather than putting them on myself which I am beyond capable of doing. This level of service is what is missing in many customer service environments I have been a part of in day to day life. I rate this location and service a high 10.

They schedule me an appointment and I called them In morning and confirmed. Dropped off my car. Appointment was at 11, my car had not been touched at 4pm in the evening. They do not have the proper mechanics to work on cars that they are scheduling appointments for. Will give you the run around. Better off spending your energy and money elsewhere!

I was planning to go on a road trip with my family and wanted to make sure my car is in good condition. Went to pep boys and luckily they had slot and got my car checked up. With pretty decent charges everything was handled and the people over there are really nice. Would recommend anyone to this shop for any kind of car services.

I was able to get in the same day I needed because my air conditioning wasn't working and while I was there I had my brakes done. They took care if everything and was able to drive off after 4 hours. Very nice people working there as well.

This location is pretty big, but the parking lot needs some love. It is not ideal for low riding cars to drive through.The service was pretty good, but we didn't end up getting anything done there. The store itself is pretty neat and organized. Would come back, but I cannot recommend their service center since we didn't get anything done. Overall, I have used PepBoys several times before and I would recommend their company for good work at a decent price.

Unfortunately I don't believe I will be a continuing customer. For what I was going to be charged for the repair and "recommended" services was way too much.Quoted over $500 (including the $110 diagnostic charge that I pre-diagnosed for them) to replace a part that cost $70 retail which I replaced in 20 minutes in my driveway the next day in the cold. I didn't mind the $110 charge because I wanted to verify my findings, didn't want to throw parts at my vehicle and was only 80% sure of the actual issue.Add to that an additional $770 for "recommended services" that were neither needed (maybe recommended due to the mileage?) nor complete in terms of the services they were going to perform, it didn't make sense. Plus what they recommended I completed before and did not justify the parts and labor costs. The labor charge on one item would pay for all the parts, fluids needed to complete all the services, and not bargain basement cheap parts either.The service attendant was okay and the free coffee was decent but the prices, not okay, hence my 2 stars.
