Our first vacation taking our dogs with us was the perfect mix of R&R, exploration, and nature. No breed, or size discrimination, which is very much appreciated.We were greeted by three cats (one of whom just let himself in as soon as we opened the door), the room was pleasantly cool, and well organized for the small space that it is in.There's plenty of plates, silverware, cookware, bowls, and spices to make almost anything you'd want - just bring your food with you. If you forget to do that, there are stores 20+ minutes away.The trails are full of plants and flowers, with active bee farming interspersed. And despite it being in the 80s and humid, we all enjoyed the walks.

Lovely place to stay while traveling cross country. Pet friendly. Comes with two friendly yard kitties. Friendly and helpful host. Fresh baked cookies at check in was a great touch.

Kevin and Jaime were extremely accommodating hosts, and not only did we stay for 2 nights, but he allowed us to have our wedding ceremony on his beautiful prairie. Everything from start to finish was easy and well taken care of. We couldn't have asked for a better space for our wedding, and the 2 nights at the prairie after the wedding were nothing but wonderful! Many thanks to Kevin and Jaime for going out of their way to make our special day perfect!

The pictures simply don't do the place justice! The prairie is even more beautiful in person, and the charm and sense of welcome in the tiny house is all encompassing. It was so easy to spend a restful weekend here - we'll definitely visit again. Thank you again Kevin and Jamie!

I viewed your property. I was very disappointed 😣! The premises and lodging did not look like pics posted. I suggest updating pics! No way would I would pay an outlandish price! Cha-Ching$$$ 👎 👎

I only write reviews when my experience is one of two things: absolutely horrendous. Or incredible/remarkable in ways that i won't soon forget. I am pleased to share that my experience with peace on the prairie falls into the latter category.My family is very urban. The type of family that finds it hard to separate from a phone screen for longer than a second. Introverted and mistrusting.After driving for (almost) four hours to seemingly the middle of nowhere my girlfriend and daughter were a bit ticked that i made them sit through the car ride. But once we were unpacked and found our way to the fire pit for late night cuddles and smores everything was fine with the world. We were greeted by a plate of fresh baked cookies upon arriving which made us feel immediately more at ease.In our hosts we found kind and genuine people, the type not commonly found in our city upbringing. We found people genuinely excited to share with us the land and the values they just consider routine and everyday life. The kind of people who smiled while lugging cinderblocks to our fire pit so i could grill over a sizzling hickory firepit. We met people who could talk to my high maintenance 6 year old daughter about dead mice, cats, and her obsession with tiktok. They welcomed us with open arms, just as their seemingly endless expanse of rugged (yet easily maneuverable) prairie did.If you are in a position where you are debating visiting this beautiful property i strongly urge you to do so. They also have local organic honey available for sale, something which appealed to the chef in me.My daughter's favorite part of the mini vacation was our prairie walk led on by a friendly (though very sharp clawed) cat. There was something calming in its presence during our walk and she absolutely loved it.Im honestly just happy that this place exists and i really hope to go back in warmer months to see the sunflowers in full bloom. Seriously people, book this trip
