Wright Building Center has high quality materials and knowledgeable people. I know they will be able to help me when I have a question. I needed to order a small amount of siding and the big box stores (Lowe’s and Menards) could only order a full box. Vanessa at Wrights was quickly able to order exactly what I needed and it came in a few days. This is only one of my many high quality experiences at Wrights. I appreciate our local businesses.

They had two contractors that were bad. Jeremy and John. They dropped my screen door and put it on anyway. I didn’t realize something was wrong until after I had signed off on the work. They were careless in several other ways also. But Wright has fixed everything. If Wright does work for you just be sure everything is how you want it before you sign off. They have good contractors now. One especially, Heineken.

Wrights is our go to first store for any building materials we needed rehabbing our new forever home. Service is quick and they actually know what they’re talking about. Recently we purchased our quartz counter tops from them. The price was very competitive and the results beautiful.

Rude and dismissive. Many years ago I had a remodeling business in Jackson County. Now retired and back visiting grand kids doing a small project. I want to support local businesses as always, not longer. The elderly cashier was very rude. No your total is or nothing. Just demand of cash and finished with 6 cents. Dropped the change in my hand. Didn't even look up and give me my receipt. The nerdy boy that was following my son in-law though the store Hand it to me.

If only zero stars was an option. Was advised they had a product in stock that I was needing for multiple clients. Confirmed multiple times over the phone it was actually in stock prior to paying thousands of dollars in advance and wasting an entire day driving round trip to pick up. Upon arrival, I was advised that they did not in fact have the product and it would take a few days to give me my money back. Not one apology was provided by a staff member. Waited a month to hear from a manager and finally reached out myself to speak to Heather. She explained that the situation was rectified on their end she didn't see the problem. If you like to support responsible businesses, I recommend avoiding them at all costs. If a headache is what you are looking for, this place is for you.

Wow if I could give them a zero I would. We purchased our cabinets from them for our remodel. The consultant messed up a few cabinets in our order. We talked with the consultant to fix the problems, and she agreed to fix them. Well the consultant quit Wrights, now Heather the "manager" doesn't want to stand behind the promises that her employees made. Now I'm sitting her with messed up cabinets. My advice DON'T GO TO WRIGHTS!!!!

We shopped at the store in Sparta, IL and had fast excellent service. Dawn helped us shop for the materials we needed. She and Dennis answered all our questions and we were able to place our order same day. Within 4 days our order was in and ready for pickup. Thank you and your staff for your great service!

Needed to rent a nailer tool and it was close to closing time. I was far away but had a buddy in the area. I called them on the phone, Neal helped me get the tool I needed and Nita got me the correct nails. Made the entire transaction over the phone and had my buddy pick up it all up before close.By far the best tool rental experience I've ever had. Neal was super knowledgeable about tools and steered me in direction of proper tool. Without his assistance I would of rented the wrong tool and my project would of been ruined. Nita helped get me the proper size of nails and found me a deal on an off brand that helped me save a few dollars. She even charged my credit card over the phone and got them all together so it was a seamless pick up for my friend.Knowledge and customer service is off the charts at this place, highly recommend.

Everyone is always so helpful! Usually greeting you as soon as you enter the door and asking what they can do to help! Last time I was there, Martha welcomed me and even asked about my family. Great home-town store! And if they don't have what you need they can usually get it.

Stopped in for nails for a nail gun I bought a couple months back, finally found them!! Only place within 40 miles that had the right angle for this specific nail gun so needless to say if was very happy. As always friendly and helpful staff

I went to Wright's Do It Center the other day I needed some root killer. It's a wonderful place to be they have an awful lot of stuff and I have people that can help you find that the prices are decent and the people were very pleasant I've always been pleased with their service and if you talk to them nice you might find out her very very wonderful people to talk to. This is what I found when I talk to them and I treat them with respect because I do respect them because they know things I don't they can help me with things that I can't find so I think the people are great I've never had one to be disrespectful to me or be out of line. may God bless you all

My husband and I had an appointment with Beth, in the design center, to pick out some coordinating bath and shower tile. Her recommendations were spot on and saved my husband what could have been agonizing hours making a decision. Can't wait til the project is finished! Also, Guy in the Millwork Department is fantastic, as well.

Went and paid to have screens made, 275.00 worth and did not get them. Gave them measurements and 2 actual old screens to go off of. Wrights was to remake them after they were wrong the first time. They had to remake them 2 more times and we asked for our money back. Jamie said I wont give you your money back let us try once more. So they tried one more time, we went to put them in and all they had done was stretch the original ones out so they popped back out while installing. Jamie said we would not get the full amount back (because of time and material which we were not happy about but understood). We went to return them as this was the final straw. The guy that made the screens was not in (again) so just got a call from Jerry Wright and he rudely said he will not give us the money back at all and hung up! They were paid in full and did not return the services that were agreed upon. And refuse to give our full 275.00 back.

I went there to get a repair done. Ace hardware did not offer screen repair services. $35.00 seemed high for a repair, so next time I will do it myself. Sorry. The times they are a changin.

I called Wright Building Center (WBC) and dropped off a 24" x24" screen door frame for screen replacement work. My 3-star rating permits future updates.WBC's terminology is unconventional, a $15.⁰⁰ "deposit" for the repair (understandable) but if they quote $15.⁰⁰ for repair, it's not a deposit. I see where customers may forget to pickup their repaired screen door frames so WBC's business model implements an upfront collection with a 30-day pickup requirement.Unfortunately, family must collect & reinstall the frame but I intend to update this rating after the work's completed.Update (20210722): the screen pick up went smoothly and, short of delivery & installation, WBC Team came through for us - thanks to all who keep mom's independence our reality!

Its a hometown hardware store. They have great prices on paint and most hardware. Lumber prices seem a bit high compared to your chain stores but thats typical.
