St Francis is amazing! I filled out an application in line about a small dog I was interested in and was contacted within 48 hours. Most places require an application to weed out people that probably shouldn't have a pet. I get it.Anyway, I drove 5 hours to get there and I'm so glad I did. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. I adopted a small, one year old Terrier mix that is WONDERFUL. Their fees are reasonable and I was in and out in 30 minutes. If you're looking for a reputable place to get a healthy furry friend then I highly suggest you get in touch with these folks.

I called last wk to see if they would take 2 female adult cats and 1 kitten.I told them my sister dumped them on me and didn't want them back.I also told them they cant stay in my home, my 10 yr old is getting ready to do chemotherapy.I called back today like they told me and last wk they told me they would have room this wk for them. But they lied to me.I was told to deal with them on my own..The person I talked to on the phone was very rude and hateful..I never in my life dealt with anyone or any place that doesn't have a heart when it comes to a child getting ready to do chemotherapy

The facility smelled really bad when I walked in to adopt an older Yorkie. They told me the Vet checked him out thoroughly and he was ready to go. THEY ARE LIARS! They told me they were feeding all the dogs dry dog food. They did NOT check him out because he only had 5 teeth and 3 of them were really bad and had infection. They were literally starving him to death! He was on his last days. He was puking everytime he ate bc he would swallow his food bc he couldn't chew the hard food, couldn't digest it then puke it back up. Had diahrreah and pooped everywhere. This dog was 9 1/2 yrs old and had been neglected and abused severely. He weighed about 6 lbs. A few months later he weighs a healthy 12 lbs, happy, healthy. They are liars and made every excuse why they didn't tell me he was sick especially when the vet there "checked him out thoroughly"! Very unsanitary facility and a bunch of liars! With a lot of love and a lot of patience anything is possible. He is now a healthy happy young man.

In my personal opinion, a veterinarian should be able to handle any animal with any type of condition. But instead, WITHOUT even meeting my dog or giving her a chance, they decided she’s too aggressive to spay although she’s never bit not ONE single person or animal. She’s just anxious and growls and barks around new people! Why become a DOCTOR for ANIMALS if you don’t accept and help them ALL!! 😤 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Called today to see if they would have time to see a stray that I'm worried about. I was willing to foster/adopt if they were willing to help with medical fees. I was told to surrender the animal and the vet "just didn't have time" to help because they were too busy. This poor cat has respiratory issues and it's below feeezing!! Thanks for nothing Shelly. I will never "stray" from my main veterinarian. Rude customer service. Interrupted me and never had a chance to explain the situation.

I volunteer at St. Francis at times. Everyone works hard, is very passionate about their job, and always has the well-being of the animals in mind. The Veterinarian is amazing and compassionate. The staff are very committed to homing these fur babies in great homes.

This is hands down THE BEST vet and clinic we have EVER had experience with! Kay Creese is the most amazing vet. Had it not been for her and her staff, I wouldn't have my baby boy, Uno!

We adopted our new addition, Maggie, today. They kept her a little extra time, cause a litter mate was I'll, which we appreciated. Very kind from email connection to in-person visits! ❤

Can you take a kitten at 2 weeks?Unless your kitty-to-be has somehow lost its mother, do not adopt a 2 week old kitten. Removing a kitten from its mother before 8 weeks is cruel. I actually prefer 12 weeks or even 16 weeks for the most well-adjusted cat. No human can provide for a kitten and socialize it as well as its mother cat. And btw. Our cat didn’t even have her babies for 2 weeks. 9 days was all she got with her kids. That’s just not right. I don’t get how they say the care for animals when they do stuff like that. Very sad

I witnessed animal abuse and cruelty at this place. A worker choked a dog by its leash while laughing and kicked it back into its kennel and a sick kitten was hit for scratching. This place needs to be closed down. It’s also unsanitary and the people working here are rude.

Fantastic facility. You can tell their staff not only cares for the animals in their custody, but are dedicated to finding the perfect new home for them. They are 100% all about the animals and I love that. I got to take Joe home yesterday and he's already part of the family. I love my new boy! Thank you all so much!

These people are so incredibly kind. I brought in a cat I recently rescued that had a broken leg. They did the procedure at no cost and took such great care of her. She is home resting and we go back in 10 days to get her stitches taken out.

This place is awesome! We found a stray cat with a VERY hurt leg (we couldn’t find the owners so we decided to keep him) and we explained to them that we could not pay very much to get him fixed up. They helped us work out the expenses and they were able to amputate his leg and keep him for 4 days. (It’s now been over a month) if it weren’t for st.Francis our kitty very well could’ve died. He’s now living his best life as a 3 legged kitty! I definitely recommend st.Francis.

Went in to find a purrfect companion, and found a match in the sweetest one year old kitty. The lady who brought me back was extremely helpful and personable. She answered my questions and when I filled out the paperwork, more staff offered me a few things like a litter pan and a cute shelf box for my new cat to play in. However I’m extremely concerned in the health treatment of the cats there. After bringing her home, I noticed my kitty is riddled with huge fleas and has blood in her stool. She’s being treated with a vet, but I just want someone to check in on the little things, or at least know someone there knows about it and is handling it?

I adopted a cat from them a few months ago, and she had fleas and was treated for a tapeworm. They did not tell me she had fleas, so I was unaware and didn’t treat her. It snowballed into my house needing to get bombed for fleas, and she got another tapeworm from eating an infected flea. I called today for advice on medicine, but they immediately went on the defensive and were acting like I was trying to get free treatment. I wanted to know what kind of worm my cat had because of their negligence. But they more interested in telling me how she couldn’t have had fleas. That they checked her and how bizarre it was. They didn’t want to take any blame. I genuinely feel bad for any animal at their shelter. I’m glad I was able to save her from them.

Brought a dog home for the home stay, turned aggressive more and more through the days, they said he was good with cats, a family dog and was aggressive towards us and continued to attack our cat multiple times and be aggressive towards our other animals. They bashed us on facebook, as we did nothing wrong, but return a dog they gave false advertisement with the animal.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. My girlfriend scheduled an appointment over a month ago to get her recuse dog spayed and to remove a tumor. I'll start by saying it's been a horrible experience. When she went in for her scheduled 8am surgery they turned her away her because one of their staff had double booked and they told her that since her dog could be aggressive around other dogs, they would not go through with the surgery that morning for the safety of the other animals even though she came in with a muzzle. The vet was fully aware that they were going to be dealing with an aggressive animal and was not prepared. They scheduled her in for another appointment for a week later. The day before her second appointment they had given her a follow up call to remind her of the appointment. So once again she came in for her 8am surgery and for the SECOND TIME she was turned away. This time their excuse was "the vet was not prepared to be dealing with and undergoing surgery on an aggressive dog and they do not have the proper technicians there to assist with the procedure." This is absolutely ridiculous. They were fully aware of her dogs circumstances from the first time she was brought in which was why she was rescheduled in the first place.St Francis Care, you should be ashamed of your clinic. You were made fully aware that a dog needed surgery to remove a tumor which has been slowly growing in size since the initial appointment was booked over a month ago and you were clearly made aware of her circumstances and yet you turned down a sick animal TWICE because of you negligence andlack of organization. This has been a horrible experience and I would not wish anyone to be dealing with such an unsympathetic, unprofessional and untrustworthy clinic. My word of advice is to take your animals to a proper vet where they will treat you and your time with respect. The money you save here is not worth the headaches you will endure.
