I will always bring my animals to Dr. Hodapp from now on! Him and his staff are so helpful and friendly. Despite the economic situation we’re currently in, they have the best prices too! I brought 2 kittens I rescued back in the summer, for their neuter consult yesterday. But thanks to Dr. Hodapp we found out they were actually females. 😂 we all laughed and I felt so comfortable! I’ve never met a veterinarian so kind and compassionate that genuinely cares for your animals. Bring your fur babies here, you won’t regret it! 🐾❤️

My dog was struggling with delivering her puppies. I called the emergency line and their was no hesitation for me to bring her in. At the time we were not patients, we are now, and they met us as quickly as they could (945pm). The vet and the technicians were very friendly to us and never made us feel we were an inconvenience to them. They even text me the next day to check on the new moms and babies. Thank you so much for the great experience !

Dr Hoddap is wonderful. He is very kind, compassionate and great with cats. The people at the front desk and the techs are so nice and very knowledgeable. I went a few years without taking my cat to the vet because of negative experiences in the area. I was relieved with his care and affordability. Highly recommend!!

Such a great vet office for my pups! Dr. Hodapp, the vet techs and receptionists are always super friendly, and you can tell they love their job and the animals that come there. Prices are reasonable, and care is top knotch. Would highly recommend them to anyone in Southern Illinois looking for a trustworthy place to take their pets

Dog Mom of 5 here. We have been at solid rock since Dr. HODDAP opened in Murphysboro. The techs are all wonderful, and so is doc. I have been in for emergency care when my dog got a large cut on his neck. Recently one of our older dogs needed to be put to sleep and the care and bedside manner the team showed, I have never seen before at any other vet. All of my boys love going to the vet because they get treated well and loved on by everyone in the office. We will never go to another vet, solid rock is the best.

We had an out-of-town visitor at the house with her ailing pup. She had many miles to travel and needed a vet's attention before heading onwards. Solid Rock Clinic got her seen immediately with care, concern, and kind service. Dog was thoroughly examined, treated, and they went on with confidence. Would not hesitate to use them again.

This vet is the absolute best. Dr Hodapp is the most personable and caring person I’ve ever met. We brought our dog here Monday, Dr. Hodapp was honest about everything and you could see it in his eyes he wish he had better news for us. we ended up having to put our sweet boy to sleep… he walked us through the whole process, gave us the time we needed and didn’t leave us questioning our decision. I’m soo thankful for him and his staff at solid rock, truly amazing people. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very happy with Solid Rock Veterinary clinic. Dr. Allen Hodapp is very good and well liked by many. I heard about him from my students. Update: Neuter done on young dog and procedure is the best I have seen. Highly recommend Solid Rock! Update: very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Disappointment. Few weeks back my boy was really ill. Middle of the night he was restless, hasn't slept, diarrhea was horrible. It's one of those things that happens on a weekend after office hours. So I go looking for emergency veterinarians in my area and reading reviews as they tell the real story & truth. I came across Solid Rock and it was close to home. I thought he had treated out of town guest's pet visiting at friends house. Maybe just maybe he could see my Lil guy and help this ill pup out. Anyone wanna guess what he said?? "NO" "I am told to drive a sick pup that can't hold his bowels more than 20 mins to Missouri in the middle of the night with kids in tow." You really care for pets don't you dear sir. Don't worry my baby boy is well again. Thank goodness for vets like Dr. Jason Verbeck at Lakeside Hospital who truly cares and will always find a way to see patients!

We had a toy Yorkie-Poo. Went for a visit for bloodwork at that time I asked if he had allergies. His eyes had a lot of discharge and you could tell he didn’t feel good. Bloodwork was done told his liver enzymes where a little high. To put him on this prescription medicine that came in a week later. That following week we went to pick it up, once again they where asked about his eyes and hair loss. Was told to give him chicken and rice 😐 . Two days later he was real sick that we mad arrangement for someone else to take him in due to work. That time they put him on nausea and vomiting medication because he didn’t want to eat. Eight days later he was real sick again this time we took him elsewhere. Was told his enzymes where not a little high was very high the first bloodwork and should not have been on that medication. So our little dog struggled for three weeks. He is now in doggie heaven. This place is a big joke and just keep billing and making a dog suffer with a lot of pain If you love your pet go elsewhere.

I’d give this place zero stars if I could. I don’t like the fact that I cannot be with my dogs when they get their nails clipped and anal glands surpressed. It stresses out my dogs and I hear them whining and then I get stressed out. Rude staff that doesn’t acknowledge me when I arrive and have little interaction with my dogs.

I LOVE Dr. Hodapp he's amazing. Anytime I have a question about any of my 5 dogs, he's very helpful and guides me in the right direction. I have had 2 of my dogs neutered by him and they both done extremely well, the staff call a couple days after their surgery and check up on them to make sure they are doing alright. He and his staff are friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

We brought our dog Sophi in to be spayed a few days ago and it was the longest I’ve been away from my baby so I was scared to leave her at first but the doctor did an AMAZING job on her procedure! She is recovering soo well and I can’t thank you enough for taking care of my baby❤️

Such a great experience! Took great care of our sweet Maddi. She got her boosters and taken well care of. Even performed a complimentary nail trim, heart worm medicine and flea and tick. So was welcoming and made you feel comfortable that your fur baby was well taken care of. Thank you! We will be back!
