It is one of the best Pet Supplies that I have been to. The manager is very helpful and knowsore of the ins and outs of what is going on with food recalls than at other stores.The pets for sale always look healthy and well cared for here.

Used the like this location. But is gone downhill. Was just in and the store is dirty. Countless dead fish. Dirty floors. Dirty aquariums, webs all over, reptiles living in filth. It's very disheartening.

Almost every single time I visit this location; 90% of their poor betta fish have swim bladder, fin rot, or parasites. I took in the betta pictured below from this store. He was floating on his side and had severe swim bladder disease.The second picture is him now, a week later. He is able to swim, he is finally eating, and exploring his hospital bowl. Unfortunately he seems to have a permanent curvature in his spine. All he needed was clean, warm, water.I am 99% sure this could have been prevented if it wasn’t for the horrifyingly poor care the store provided.The cups that these fish are kept in are FILTHY. Additionally, these are tropical fish, their water temp should be in the upper 70’s. A cup sitting in room temp water is not enough. How can you expect future pet owners to provide these animals with the appropriate care if this is the example you are giving? This is animal abuse. Please do better.

I love this store! I shop here for all of my pets. The staff is extremely friendly and super helpful. Great prices, clean store, and a very welcoming atmosphere. They even took the time to attach a hand written note to my online order, carried it out to my car, and even put it in the back seat. Excellent work! Keep it up!

This is my go to store for my dog and rag doll cat. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. From the food,treats,toys and all the supplies, they have a vast number of choices. And let’s not forget their sales!

they are very ridiculous no one helped me my mother was dying and we waited at the emergency for 5 hours when I told them I needed nurses they told me she was coming soon and we waited for another 2 hours when I told them again you will send a nurse they called a police officer and they told him I was yelling at them.

This location is just down the street from me so I'm in there all the time. Every time I walk in, I'm always greeted and there's always a friendly employee who asks if I need help with anything. I just adopted my puppy back in January and they were happy to answer all of my questions. They have a wide variety of food, which is especially helpful if you have a picky eater like my pup. Plus they have a selection of super cute sweaters, vests, and chew toys! Yes, I am that dog owner haha! Never a bad experience here.

went to the Route 60 in Mundelein store today to look for a treat that would tempt a feral cat I'm trying to trap. The store associate was very helpful in explaining to me so that I could make a decision on a product that would work for an unknown cat. Took all of 15 minutes. A satisfactory experience.

I love how they added the dog wash! It’s really nice and convenient for whenever we need to go give our black lab a shower especially since at it’s really hard to give him a good wash. They also have a lot different options on dog food and anything you might need!

The staff at this store are knowledgeable and helpful. If I buy a heavy bag of litter they always have someone who will carry it out to my car. They always have the products I need in stock and they have frequent sales and discounts that are sent by text or email. The store is neat and clean and the aisles are not crowded with displays.

The level of customer service at this store far exceeds many establishments I’ve visited in a long time! Who ever is running this store should give trainings to all store managers on how to properly treat customers. The staff greeted us from the beginning and thanked us for our business at the end and were super helpful in between! Customer service is something I felt has basically went away during the pandemic but this store changed my mind!

Bought a pet door for our older dog. The staff was very helpful, no other places had this size at this price. Installation was a little tricky, but I got exactly what I asked for. The store itself has a lot going on. My kids love watching the fish in the aquariums. It actually really helps when you need a few things and the kids have something to look at. They also have a grooming service on location. The food selection is expansive, with many quality brands to choose from. I don't own birds, fish, or reptiles, but it looks like a good selection of habitats, food, toys, and more for those animals as well. Another thing to remember is this is a dedicated pet store, the staff is going to be very knowledgeable about these products because they probably have used it. I highly recommend this store, specifically the Mundelein location.

If you like Pet Supplies Plus don't waste your time and money coming here, take your business to the Wauconda location if you can. It is family owned and EVERYONE who works there is amazing and welcoming.Now that being said, I will NEVER be going back to the Mundelein location. It is an extremely unwelcoming atmosphere. The old lady I usually see when I DO end up going there did not acknowledge us when we (my dog and I) first walked in. There was a very nice girl who said hi to me and my dog and gave her some lovin' before she helped me take my very heavy bag of dog food to the front.First issue that happened... They put the food in the incorrect place and was marked wrong. I had unknowingly picked up a 50lb bag of food instead of a 30lb bag of food that the price was actually for. Which they admitted to putting in the wrong place. I had pointed out to the older lady when she scanned it that "hey, it said it was $63/66 dollars back there under the bag". To which she responded "well if you'd let me finish putting in your phone number MAYBE it'll change" in a very condescending tone and rolling her eyes at me. To which I want to say the guy with the beard who chimed in was a manager (I really hope not) said "well did you look at the tag under the bag or over the bag because it should've been the tag below it" to which I said "the one below it, it said $63/66"He runs back and checks and says "yeah so that bag is the 50lb bag and is $99 but I GUESS this time because it's our mistake for putting it in the wrong spot we can change the price this ONE time, but the next time you come in you'll have to pay the actual price" he said it very rudely like he was doing me the biggest favor of his life. I would've been fine getting the smaller bag if this interaction could've been avoided...Now, the girl who helped me this whole time with my bag of food asked the older lady "do we have treats back there for (my dogs name)" and the older lady rolled her eyes at her and sighed and said "yeah.... we have treats back here" and threw the treat at the girl.This whole situation and review could have been avoided if ONE, they were putting things where they should be, and TWO, had better, kinder staff.Again I will say I will NEVER be going back to this location and everyone should know to take their business and money to a store who actually cares and is kind to their customers, two legged or four legged. Go to Wauconda with your money. It'll be better spent.

I usually get my dogs groomed at the Wauconda location. I scheduled a grooming appointment weeks in advance, after getting rabies vaccinations for both dogs at the Mundelein location because it was convenient at the time. They are all the same company, right? And I love the Wauconda location. Big mistake!I usually have to schedule the drop off and pick up times in between my meetings for work. I arrived 20 minutes early to drop my two dogs off. One is nearly blind and almost completely deaf. When I walked up to the gate, I was told by this very snippy young woman with dangerous looking daggers for fingernails, that I had to come back at noon (my exact appointment time.) so I trudged back out to my car holding the blind and deaf dog, with the other one on the leash. The more I thought about the situation, the more it bothered me how rude she was. I called and asked to speak with the manager while waiting in my car. He wasn’t much nicer. Basically made excuses for her. I should have followed my instincts and just left. At noon, straight up, I brought them back in. Again, the hateful young woman was there and demanded to see the rabies papers (which I told her were provided when I made the appointment). No record, of course.I was so frustrated by then. I told them rather loudly, I was leaving since this was the worst grooming appointment I’ve ever experienced . The manager then came over and said “ma’am, I’m going to have to ask you to leave”. I was already trying to wrangle the dogs and get out of this disaster anyway. And the rude young woman kept taunting me and saying rude things, so I told her she needed to stop talking. She didn’t… and the manager even told her to stop, and she didn’t. I strongly suggest you visit the Wauconda location where they have friendly, welcoming staff who know how to treat long-time, good customers.UPDATE: The owner responded to my review asking for contact information, which I provided as requested. I was then contacted by an area manager via phone, who asked me to share with him the details of what happened. He was very apologetic and kind, expressing his concern about the event. He also told me he was on his way to the Mundelein location to talk with the manager and team.I took my sweet boys to the Wauconda location for grooming a week later. Stephanie and Taylor were rockstars. Both kind and friendly as well as loving and attentive to my dogs. My boys were happy and well groomed when I picked them up. That’s how the visits always are at the Wauconda location! NOTE: Don’t be afraid to let a student work with your pet. Taylor is a student, but you’d never know watching her interact with the dogs and seeing the outcome.
