Stopped by on our way home, and decided to have some breakfast. I had the breakfast horseshoe and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS and PLENTIFUL!! My wife had toast and eggs and our daughter had scrambled eggs with her chocolate milk. Everything was delicious and our waitress was very courteous. The owner even came out to make sure our little girl had a coloring book to keep herself entertained and she LOVED it!!

Had a great cheese burger and chili, and wonderful home made peach pie after grandson’s basketball game. Very friendly staff and warm, interesting old-time diner atmosphere. I’m for sure coming back for those biscuits and gravy another reviewer commented on!

would consider a 4 or 5 star if the portions were a bit bigger for what you pay. Requested a philly cheese no bread and asked for double meat and cheese. I also made a point to say its okay if you have to charge me for an extra sandwich or charge me accordingly. Food was great, fresh hot and delicious, but the portion size especially for asking double meat was kind of pathetic. Clean place, clean bathroom, and friendly service.

Love dropping in and eating here, with two bonuses. First, you'll be served a old time favorite, no matter if you want a full meal or just a coffee with dessert. Second, you are likely to see any number of local personalities as the locals favor this place. We came in as a party of six and they accommodated us quite well.

I first found this place on my way home from the St Louis airport. Now every time I have a doctors appointment in St Louis we drive through Morrisonville from Dalton City and stop just to get their breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are to die for and the prices are great! Very friendly staff. Residents of the area are regulars and if I lived closer I definitely would be too!

Had a great breakfast in a great atmosphere. Wife got the ponyshoe, she should have got them miniature ponyshoe (she was stuffed). Mine was excellent as well.
