We are so thankful for our kitten that we adopted from AHOM. Everyone there is so friendly and nice and you can tell they love their jobs and that they love animals! I live in Mahomet but I drive to Monticello to go to their office. I wish it was closer, but it’s worth the drive.

We took our 3 day old mini schnauzer puppies to get their tails docked. After being taken to a room, an assistant took them. We never saw or met the vet. When they returned the puppies to us after the procedure, one of the puppy's tail was still bleeding but the assistant said it was just a clot. We took them home, found the one puppy was still bleeding quite a bit and crying, we called them back to ask for advice on what to do and they said they would call us back but they never did. We had to apply pressure for about 40 minutes for the bleeding to stop. We have had previous puppies' tails docked by a different vet at a different clinic before and no puppy ever came home bleeding or crying. Unfortunately that vet has retired and we were referred here and we will never be returning again. Their prices were also significantly higher than the previous vet's prices. I would not recommend.

I’m not sure a couple of sentences can sum up how amazing our experience was. The entire team was compassionate and went above and beyond by helping get our 220lbs Mastiff out of our vehicle account his bad hips. As hard as the day was, the team comforted us and our best friend’s passing was peaceful. Thank you!

The staff was very friendly and my boy did amazing! He was nervous as it was his first time there, they stay calmed and talked softly and they won him over with peanut butter! They said he was a very good boy and very handsome!

We were so impressed by Dr Heldt - her way of examining our cat (so sure), talking to us as she did her work, and then sharing the dental treat info to help his teeth. She also took a minute to respond to some info I gave her about our dog. She is so friendly and overall seems totally awesome!

My cat Nemesis has been having some upset tummy problems lately and I called to schedule an appointment (1/30/24). They asked question over the phone to make sure when the doctor saw her he was able to assist in the best possible way. When I arrived to check in all I had to say was “I’m here for my 5:30PM appointment” and they piped up to say “oh is this Nemesis?!” And it made me feel so at ease that my life long beloved cat was being care for by a team that really cares and gets it. The Dr made sure to discuss what he believes the problem is, the treatment plan, and the next steps to come if the medicine doesn’t work the way it should.Today (2/1/24) I got a text message from Erica wanting to see how Nemesis was doing. It absolutely made my whole experience with them 10 times better! The team here went above and beyond with the care and treatment of my pet. Any pet owner knows it’s hard to relinquish the duty of care of your pet into someone else’s arms, but with the Animal Hospital Of Monticello, it was not a problem at all and I will always return to the beautiful team that lives the values they preach. Thank you to the amazing care and team of this establishment.

The staff is always very nice, as well as helpful. We brought our 14 year old Aussie rescue for dental work..the doctor was great to explain in detail what they would do..and answered any questions or concerns with compassion. They did a great job with our Ivan and I would definitely recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone ❤.We also bring our 10 year old Malmute rescue there for Chiropractic care!

From the time I called to the time we left the appointment it was a very pleasant experience. Staff is super friendly and got my dogs in the same day. The Doctor was AWESOME! She explained everything in detail. She didn't try to push high priced treatments, we discussed options and made a plan. I would recommend them to anyone! The the cost of the visit, with X-ray, bloodwork and medicine was not bad either!

We decided after having a bad experience at our old vet to try Animal Hospital of Monticello and I have no regrets. it was very clean, every one was super welcoming and friendly. I had a few concerns and I was reassured multiple times. they do things a bit differently and it works out so well. I love that they have an app where I can track our meds, appointments, etc. most importantly our puppies LOVED the staff and the treats! we are excited to continue receiving our vet care here!

I previously took my dog to another vet and they didn’t catch certain things that the animal hospital did. Just after a couple days of treatment, my senior dog is feeling like a puppy again. Michelle and Andrea are so polite and caring, they went above and beyond!! You can tell they really love the animals they work with.
