I'm giving it a four-star only because the prices are really jacked up because of the location being in a small town. However, the meat department is always super helpful and friendly and have a lot of really good choices. I also love that they have self checkout which is unusual in small stores like this. Produce department has a pretty decent selection as well and they seem to keep it cleaned out of any outdated or over-ripe product.

Oh my gosh there's so much to say. First of all the stores so quiet with that carpet on the floor. And then the white flooring and the rest of the isles is so clean it's almost pristine. All the employees are so professional. I absolutely love it it's too bad I live so far away

Today, 11-3, 2023, I was checking out at Fareway, Monmouth. When I walked up to check out, I noticed a lady employee who was coughing badly and constantly. So, I walked over to the other checkout and away from her. The lady who was coughing didn't have a customer. She was going to bag my groceries but I told her that she was worrying me. She said it was just a cough. Just a cough? It's not a good look for Fareway. She should have been sent home. She looked at me and said, "let someone else do it". Yes, thank you, I do not want you coughing all over my food!

Wow, the people are always friendly, but today they saved me so much embarrassment!I had overfilled a smaller cart and on my way out, spilled my cup of fruit. I felt incredibly bad 1. For making a mess for the friendly staff and 2. I lost my costly cup of fruit, but they were there immediately to clean it up and were so understanding of my blunder. They were genuine in their tone, and they even replaced my fruit!The staff here have my most respect and appreciation. Their kindness was above and beyond today, and I'm so thankful!

I have mixed feelings about this place. It is clean and looks nice inside and out. It is well-organized. Produce is good to fair which is much better than any store in Galesburg except Aldi. Some prices are high and some lower, especially sales. The pork loins are not as high in quality as those from other stores even though they come from next door; there's a lot of fat and a lot of the darker bits of meat with extra fat that isn't fit to eat. Workers are very friendly and extremely helpful. The cashiers have to reach down and take every single item out of the cart and bag it. It is a very poor design for the workers. Customers are not allowed to take the carts out; instead a bagger takes the groceries our for you which is a little weird and uncomfortable if you prefer to do it yourself. It is a nice store overall with some good sales.

Fareway always has excellent choice of meats. The workers are very friendly and willing to help. We always feel welcomed and their customer service is wonderful. They help carry out your groceries and even take your cart back. It’s always a great experience shopping here.

This has to be one of the cleanest stores I have ever shopped in. Kudos to the management of this store for their efforts. Nice variety of products some of which I've never seen before. The meat counter had a nice variety and some good prices. I wish this store was closer but could be worth the trip once in awhile.

Great steaks. Prices high on everything else. Also I ended up taking one atar away because I spent 10 dollars on the oldest hardest brownie bites I've ever purchased. Like little rocks.

I was trying to get lined up by pulling forward to back into a spot when an employee pulled up right behind me and parked. I informed them they were in the way and all they said, with a bad attitude I might add, was "I didn't know you were about to back up, I parked here because I'm about to go to work." while they sat there on their phone and didn't even move. I have a longer vehicle that takes 2 spots, and it was more difficult to maneuver to a different spot after they had crowded me in that way. This business should be more accommodating to their customers. I left without buying anything because I expected the customer service to be just as lackluster. Trucks, don't bother, take your money elsewhere.

I went in for the butcher shop and was pleased by the selection, service, and prices. Several briskets to choose from, quality of the steaks was too good to pass up and I have a soft spot for fresh bratwurst and hot dogs. I looked around on my way through the store and so the prices were lower than I expected from outward appearance and local singing name. Altogether better experience than the place across the street

Go to place for the butcher counter.What more can I say. Best butcher counter in Warren, Henderson, Knox, or Mercer counties. Still the best meat around. Great prices!!!

Very clean, very organized, and so polite!!!I literally watched a manager scrapping gum off the parking lot!! The kids that work there are so sweet. They walk you out put your groceries in the car and take your cart inside. This is without asking! CLASSY!!! They absolutely refuse any kind of tip. They deserve a huge tip!! Best grocery store EVER! Keep up the good work 👏

I love Fareway!!!! Such a great company and staff. We came in 15 minutes prior to closing and we thought they closed later and didn't finish shopping until 30 minutes after they closed and no one said a word. They let us finish our shopping and kindly checked us out and still walked us to our vehicle and helped unload our groceries. That goes a very long way when a company and it's employees show that kind of hospitality. Great customer service and we are grateful to have such a great company within our community like this one.

Very clean. The workers are walking around asking if you need help finding anything. They took our groceries and packed them in our car. They had items that have been discontinued at our store. The meat is fresh and priced to sell. Everyone is so nice.
