Some of the people are good out there don't get me wrong. My last interaction with the service desk employee has left such a sour taste in my mouth I will be going to fareway or Walmart from now on. I felt ripped off due to the digital coupon thing they have going on there. They were very blunt and offered no solution. I also see a lot of the older service desk people be pretty mean to the other employees there on more than one occasion. I have shopped there since the place has opened, but will not anymore.

Great local store. The prices can be a bit higher than other places, but the produce is amazing!They also have great weekly and monthly (Penny Pincher) sales. There is a kiosk as you come in where you can load online coupons to your Max card.Friendly and helpful people!

Sub-par at best. The food here is expensive, less fresh, and less appealing then Groceries in Galesburg and Macomb. If you have a vehicle, try to get there instead. It's cheaper and your taste buds and body will thank you later!

The employees are very sweet and helpful. If you need spices or mixes, this is the place to go. They also have the best Chester Chicken around! Prices are a little high, but that's all smaller towns.

They were always friendly and helpful when I went there. Good local place with a decent meat section. Highly recommend the marinated pork chops if you want something quick to throw on the grill.

We’ve recently moved to Monmouth and just love this store! The deli and hot foods are a great option for when you don’t want to cook. The fresh fruits and veggies are plentiful and a great variety. Oh and the meat counter is fabulous!! The store is easy to navigate and always clean. The staff is friendly and willing to answer questions about the community to newcomers like us.

Update: If you arrive after about 7pm they lock the main automatic opening doors and you will need to enter from the far left manual push exit door. I almost left the first time I came at night shortly after moving in to town. Good thing I saw another person go in that other door. Not sure how many people just drive away or go elsewhere as there is no sign or other indication stating to use the other door. You look in through the windows and it's dead inside. Apparently there is no worry about losing business after the 9-5.Original Post: Okay for a small town. A bit pricey. Polite staff and decent selection (produce section is a bit sparse). Make sure you check expiration dates, small town means less product turnover. I've bought items several times here that taste okay, but were past their best by date. Probably only a 3 star experience, as I'd prefer to shop in Galesburg, but it's great for when I need things late in the evening and don't want to drive out of town.

Visited after bowling (when most of Monmouth's streets are rolled up and packed away for the evening). They had two really impressive items for a small town store: decent chicken with skin-on (yay!) and organic romaine lettuce hearts. They have some low-carb breads I might try, too. Was wowed. Staff was friendly. Will have to sort out what a Max card is and what it can do. Future adventure! Nice store.

Good store...always clean. Employees are always nice. You can pay bills at the banking counter, and there's a US Cellular inside as well. One of the butchers, older guy, is one of my favorite people to deal with. Very polite.

Pretty good store, pretty much the only one with a decent selection in Monmouth.Nice staff. Decent selection of Organic offerings if you are into that. Great deli and meat products.They rotate lunch and dinner offerings if you are wanting something prepared. Great rotisserie chicken and Pot Pies.

I was upset that they don't make donuts in house, and the prepackaged ones I bought were extremely dry. Other than that the staff that I was in contact with was friendly and very helpful. Our checker was working his 2nd day there, was working alone and did a fantastic job, super nice and if he was unsure of what he was to do he hid it very well. If I'd of got his name is give him a shout out. I was there on Sunday May 30th around 12:30/1:00p.m.

Deli guy spoiled my 1st, and what will be my last, visit. Thought it was a "country" market with neighborly folk, but then read again: County. This experience just made me homesick for Publix Markets in the southeast where it's a pleasure to shop! Should've went to the Save-a-Lot

I was working Instacart and needed an item for a customer. When i asked the cashier he didn't even offer to call someone to help me. He just said "well we must not have it." Did not see any other employees throughout the store

I heard Monmouth had a large latino community so I was looking for food items such as fresh tortilllas, cheeses, panela, nopales, etc. No luck. Disappointed. Another trip to Chicago.

County Market is full of friendly employees and definitely represents Midwest hospitality. They may not have everything you're looking for, but they have a great grocery selection. It's the only place I buy meat and produce. Great product, reasonable prices, friendly service.

Very tedious work for max card and customer service sucks. Cashier couldn’t run the max card account despite customer service counter advice more than days of effectivity. Cashier’s advice was to take the max card and receipt to customer service counter for validation and credits but two customer service ladies were too busy talking to each other so in order to be polite I waited so long until they were done. Finally, one of them asked if they could help me but they redirected me to the max card hotline. Customer service said to go to the store. App doesn’t take the max card number and no choice but to go back to the useless store customer service and back and forth all for a max card and discount. What kind of customer service is this? Not even the hotline is helpful especially with the app not accepting the max card and the store customer service counter is too busy chitchatting to do their job.

This grocery store has the most fantastic bakery and produce area of any store ever! A great selection of produce and baked goods,(sweets and regular rolls) cakes, just about every flavor of candy. Best thing is... They are genuine people that care, and that's what shines through.

Meat department is very reasonable, fresh, great variety of meat, very delicious and the staff is very helpful. Deli is very good but kinda expensive. They have milk that is soooooo inexpensive and they usually have a great variety of different types of foods on sale. The downside is most of it time they have cashiers who have to call for someone else to ring up alchohol and beer because they aren't old enough to do it.

This is a review for the County Market floral department.I went in there and I was pressed for time. I told lady at the counter the idea I had because I'm rubbish at doing stuff like this. I'm so kicking myself I didn't get the name of the lady working, but anytime I have asked for help, they are absolute wizards when it comes to getting a bouquet together.

Great bakery & meat department! Meat department is always accessible. Very clean & usually well stocked. Check the expiration dates since sometimes the lunch meat, bacon & bottled soda are expired. Also check the fruit & veggies for mold.

Nice clean supermarket with a diverse selection of ethnic foods, (albeit small selection, hard to find a lot of the Asian products my wife was looking for). Friendly people, smiling faces, typical small town hospitality. Really need to get home more often.

I would have to give this place 1 star to none for rating. I had only been in the store a couple quick trips in the past when me and my husband had been in Monmouth. This time I had went because one of our dogs got into my 7 month olds formula and she was conveniently hungry when it happened. Since we live between Galesburg and Monmouth but closer on the Monmouth side I decided to go to county market to hurry and get her taken care of and I already knew the formula would be more expensive because most of their prices are pretty high. As soon as I entered the store with my child I got not so friendly stares from almost everyone in the store no one asked if I needed help or greeted me like other people. Idk if it’s because if it was morning time and ppl are usually not morning people but that’s no excuse. The woman who rung up the formula said hi and I asked how she was doing and she said fine, didn’t ask me how I was or anything. This doesn’t single out other rude experiences at stores anywhere, but I think it’s rude to just stare and not ask a question to a customer who is shopping at a high priced store. I will no longer stop here even if for a quick stop. So rude.

Put in $10 for gas ant pump took $150 out I go inside and that's a normal I guess for debit so it you get gas and this happens to you here your gonna have to wait a couple days to even get it back just save your money and go to becks down the road
