ALWAYS- ALWAYS - ALWAYS the best steaks. I live in NW Indiana and pass up numerous shops to buy here because their steaks are at another level of flavor and tenderness. We've also enjoyed their bacon, pork chops and homemade sausage. Photos are from a 24 oz. Filet I made for my wife's Birthday this weekend. Used cast iron and oven and it was fantastic.

Wonderful place to shop for meat!! Only place around that I found around here for natural casing frankfurters (my favorite dog on the grill, the snap of the casing and the juice 😋 yum yum)!! Another one of my favorite things is it's always fresh and it's a mom and pops shop!!! I like the idea of helping out the local businesses!! So if you want great fresh meat and help out a local business pop in at Southside Meats!!!

What a great hidden gem in the area. Not a huge chain with over priced items, very competitive prices, super friendly staff, it's becoming a very enjoyable weekly stop to buy my weeks deli meats for the week. Their offering of some wild game meats (burgers) is great and not found at your larger chain grocery stores. Happy to continue to support local.

Best brats I have ever had! My wife and I pass by almost every day and have never stopped…until today. I ran in just to see what they had. I ended up walking out with 8 brats and a pack of buns. The prices were very reasonable for meat from a legitimate butcher shop. And the brats were very good. Will be returning for more!

It was very clean and well organized. Reasonable prices, good looking meats. There is a small frozen section, a deli area, and standard meat section. There are some other groceries available as well. The staff was helpful. The selection is a bit limited but we'll displayed.

Very nice people work here! I bought a prime rib and was given all the helpful tip to cook it. I also purchased some of the sausage links they make. They were delicious! Great prices too.

This place is awesome. We buy a 1/4 of beef once a year. Mike cuts the meat just the way we want it and it tastes so much better then the grocery store. Awesome service and prices are great. Oh and don't forget to try his bacon. You won't regret it.
