Staff is very helpful. I take my dog there and she loves their treats. I use there clumping cat litter which has no odors when used. It's a social event for my doggie.

All-around nice pet store. I usually go for their aquarium section, which is nice and has a solid selection. The associates are nice.Feeder goldfish tanks make me sad. It's not teskes fault, I just wish pet stores in general would discontinue the practice

Great place to check out plants and animals. I think their dogs and cats are way overpriced. We enjoyed talking to the parrot that was there last weekend and just seeing the animals. I did not make a purchase.

I found a hamster wheel, same brand, cheaper than at Pet Smart. They've got everything you need for your garden and pets. Easy to find what you need, and helpful sales people. Plus, they're locally owned and operated. A gem for us green-thumbers.

If you like animals, please never support this business. In June, I bought 4 rats for my rescue rat at home who I thought needed companionship. It was an impulse decision but it felt right seeing the conditions they kept their rats in. Their rats were kept in wooden bedding, which is optimal if you want a guaranteed way to give your rats upper respiratory infections that they will be left with their entire lives. The employee that we spoke with also was a deplorable person. Not only did she pick up one of the rats at the end of his tail(which is a great way to injure a rat!) but she also told the people next to us who were looking to buy a kitten where to get it declawed. Even Petsmart and Petco employees know to dissuade customers from declawing their cats and that declawing cats in an act of animal cruelty. I took the four baby rats home and started to ween them off of the mixed seed and grain diet the store had been feeding them and put them on actual rat food. They also immediately got their bedding switched to a minimal dust paper bedding. It was not long after we got them that they started showing signs of respiratory illness, likely due to the wooden bedding teskes uses for their rats. I immediately scheduled a vet appointment but it was too late for one of the rats. It turned out that he had something going on with him along with the respiratory infection and no emergency vet in the area was able to take him in in time. It is now February of the following year and yet another of the rats has passed. According to the teskes that is not in rock island, they breed their own rats and clearly they do so in either poor conditions or without actual knowledge on breeding healthy rats. Please do not support this business and please if you decide to get rats rescue them or get them from a reputable breeder.

They have quite a bit of stuff there! Live fish, fish tanks, fish food. Live birds, bird cages, and toys. Guinea pig supplies, rat, mice, rabbits. Reptiles, tanks, and more. There are even puppies there at times!

Teske's is an amazing place for pets. I used to be a cat person, a bird lover and am now a dog person. I have gotten all my pets there since I was 19 and they have had my business for 30 years with my last purchase being a white with black specks around his face & body border collie/Bassett hound mix from Moline.Their prices for animals are *way* under that at Petland, by around $7k on their 'designer dogs' - an American Eskimo that I got years ago for $699 is $8k at Petland Naperville. Very kind & intelligent people who have been there since the 1990's.The pictures are of our 9 month Akita from Bettendorf, our 2½ year old Siberian husky & a 9 week old border collie/basse at the store in Bettendorf.Thank you!

One thing I don't like when I visit a new store is being harass I was just looking around a normal thing to do when you go to a new store I think but everywhere I was at there's was this old lady everywhere I turn acting like she was fixing the same stuff like 5 times won't be taking my business here anymore acting like I need to steal from a pet store.

I have been going to this place since for decades and have never been disappointed. There is always someone knowledgeable on hand to help you and offer solutions to problems from what's the best grass seed to worms attacking my tomato plants. Offering products at a fair price backed by knowledgeable staff is why they have been in business for decades.

Teskes is my favorite pet store in the Quad Cities. They also provide a lot of other services that are convenient. I have purchased two pet rabbits from there and they have been happy and healthy lil buns. The plant selection is impressive in the spring. Staff is very friendly and super helpful. There is never a long line to check out. Prices are comparable to box stores, some items are cheaper, some are more expensive, so I feel like it all evens out. It makes sense to shop at small local businesses, especially Teskes.

I bought a 3 fish from this place I understand that they are not guaranteed but I live 10 minutes from this store and the fish dies, then call the store and the guy tells me sorry the store manager won't be in till tomorrow and fish don't need water they need air!!! Never again will I shop at this store and I will be telling everyone I know not to shop here either. If you want good fish and to shop local and better customer service go to Roes in rock island.

Better than before, my review is only in reference to the fish department. They seem to have people who care more about the fish now, still more dead fish than I'd like to see but I often get there early in the day. Curious, does this store buy fish grown locally?

One of the only biggest pet shop within Moline. The shop has wide varieties of fish, pet birds and other pet animals. The pets are starting from $1 to more than $200. Along with pets, the store keeps supplementary materials like food, filters etc. The store also has wide varieties of indoor and outdoor plants and its fertilizer items. My most favorite item is tulips bulbs which you can buy during September. The staff is cheerful and ready for help and answering any type of questions.

I was looking specifically for corn cob bedding, and I checked with 4 other local pet stores before someone suggested Teske. Next time I'll go to Teske first. They were the only pet store that had it.
