Such a great staff, and meat is the best around. We love there brats they come up with the best flavors. The kids always ask for more gummy bear brats, they become so sweet when cooked. Get your fresh never frozen turkey for Thanksgiving. Our family always leave with frozen meats from Schubert to take home!!

Great selection of bratwurst and smoked meats. Also a variety of fresh meat with people there to take specific orders. If you're not familiar with a meat shop, this is less user friendly than other places in the local area (eg: wenneman's).They also had some abomination of bratwurst and candy corn. Crazy.

Always solid, just purchased some steaks for a special dinner and they were perfectly cut and packaged for us. Bacon is also exceptional. Ruins me for ever buying any at the “normal” grocery store

Literally the best quality meat you can buy unless you've got some obscure st Louis connection. They cut it exactly to your specifications. They butcher whole animals so if you want something not available in the grocery store this is where you can get it. I asked them if they could grind up some beef liver and mix it into my ground beef so I wouldn't have to deal with eating actual beef liver and they did it no problem. Sausages and salamis are delicious too.

Excellent place to get fresh meat! I love me a good piece of steak and the ones they have at their store, simply melts in your mouth, when cooked properly! Best steak I've had, ever!The people working there are very courteous and helpful with any question you have!However, they don't carry fresh chicken :(

Everything is fresh and slaughtered in house. Everyone is so nice and they can shrink wrap your food for the freezer wich I thought was really nice and they have a huge selection of brats and smoked sausage. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be back. Thanks for the great service;

Omg!!!!! Shubert's smoke house was a treat. I was like a kid in a candy store. 1st and foremost the pkace didn't smell like old blood or old meat. 2nd the choices of cuts where so many. Steaks, pork chops, lunch meats, and the cheese variety made my mouth water. OVER 5 varieties of Brats. People, they cut bacon to order. My friend took me. I spent close to $95. I will be going back. Don't let me forget the staff. They was so polite and patient. And Jon carried my big bag to the car. What a treat if you're into meats!!!👍🍗🍗🍗💞💞

Stopped in today for Lil Smokies (jalapeno and cheese) and left with those plus Soppressata plus Boudin Pudding. Never heard of that last one before but it was in the case and the description looked good so I went for it. Service was excellent. Greeted upon entering the store and all of my questions were answered. Great hometown meat market.

Went here for the first time this past Friday and it was my first time at a butcher/meat market. The staff was so helpful and friendly and the blueberry maple bratwurst are amazing! Highly recommend checking them out.

My favorite destination meat place! They make traditional sausage just like when I was a kid. I have been all over in search of this taste and have never found anyone else who can come close! I always stock up when I come home from Florida to visit. It's a good thing the ship out as well because their flavors and processing are a real craft made with real artistry and love. I'm so glad they are committed to this because it is a treat for me and my family 😀. Stop by you will be glad you did!

Schubert's is simply the best! But I am just writing this review because during the shut down in Illinois, so many stores raised their prices, and the cost of meat skyrocketed. But Schubert's did not raise their prices! I live locally and shop there for great meat, but now, because of how Schubert's has treated their customers with compassion during difficult times, I will buy all my meat there! Thank you from a loyal customer to a loyal business owner!

I ordered a 1/4 side of beef. My order came earlier than promised. The cuts of beef are as good as it comes. The ground beef when grilled shrunk 0%. I was amazed. If you doubt my claim, buy and try. From my family to yours, Thank you.James Bailey

First visit there and oh my goodness!!! They were super nice, and the smokes are amazing!!! They even offered to check into finding some bison for me! One of the most professional and cleanest butcher shops I've been in yet! No complaints so far!

Bought a side of beef and a 50# pack of pork from this processor. We picked it up the week after it was ready.What a freaking mess! The bags of tallow and bones weren't even closed. As a result, the bones were all freezer-burned. It doesn't matter much, because I cannot use 3/4 of them because despite my request (made numerous times) to be cut into 2" chunks, most were left whole. A half-pelvic girdle; long ribs, over 16" long...unable to be cooked down.The meat and tallow has mold. I know during the aging process that it grows mold, but I thought it was supposed to be cut off BEFORE reaching the consumer. I guess these guys never got that memo.I spent $348 and now we are opening up each pack to see which ones have mold, so we can put the ones with mold aside and shrink wrap the ones without mold.

They have a very nice selection of meat. It was not until after somebody cut some meat for me. I noticed this very unsanitary procedure. When I would speak to the lady every time she answered me she was picking at her eye . I did not notice her doing that when I asked her to cut me some meat. But then later whenever I would ask a question about different things in the coolers she would be answering me as she was picking at her Eye . I was very disgusted about that and walked out. She was a nice lady but you do not pick at your eye and then cut meat
