Has what you need but the store is small and under equipped for the town. The Dollar General in Hecker has a larger variety & more. Doesn't make a lot of sense...On top of the store issues, Dollar General policy states that employees must stock shelves when available, so expect to hunt employees down.

I just moved to Millstadt two months ago, and while I initially had good experiences in the store, I find that now that the self-check out is up and running, it's difficult to find an employee anywhere.Tonight is the fourth time I've been overcharged, and there is no one to fix the situation. I bought cotton swabs that were clearly marked on the shelf for $1 and they rang up 1.90. Almost double. All previous overcharges were only a quarter, but I'm not interested in paying ANY more than the items are marked for. Maybe the new prices haven't been updated on the shelves because there isn't enough help to handle it, and maybe it's difficult to get employees for these types of jobs, but how does management expect to run a business with little to no employees to help the customers?

Good store to have around for items that you don't want to run to the big store for. But stocked shelves are a little slow stuff laid out in cart in aisles. Management is very lacking rudeness in general not a real great experience to go there to deal with them registers left on the tended and act like they're doing you a favor to ring you out when you finally find somebody.

Good selection of just about everything but not well organized. They do now have a small selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. Good prices on sodas and snacks. It's often quite busy, but the line moves quickly. Great place to stop for snacks for the road vs a gas station or convience store.

All I can say is Millstadt must be the diet soda capital of the world! Every time there is a sale on 2 liter bottles of diet coke, diet Pepsi, or diet Dr Pepper, they run out within 2 days, so I started going to the Belleville store where they actually keep sale items in stock!!!

Very clean and has a really great food selection now! Unfortunately the reat of the store has no organization. Each section is all mixed up with no rhyme or reason. It's like inventory is just shoved anywhere it will fit in its assigned section. This made it confusing and frustrating when looking for more than 1 of a single item, as it could be anywhere on the aisle. So a star for the friendly staff, a star for the cleanliness, a star for the new food section, and a star for the selection of inventory, but minus a star for lack of organization.

This store is unorganized and cluttered. Stock carts and cardboard carts line the aisles making it difficult to get around. Items are often out of stock, in the wrong place, or still in boxes. Not easy or fun shopping here.

Dropped off a fedex package,Asked for a receipt was told that’s what my phone # was for . Well I never did receive a receipt that I dropped my package off for a return .Employee was very short with her words and rude as well .

They are very personable at this Dollar General. They always say hello when we come in and ask us how we are. They care about the little things and the people seem to be excited too work there. They may not always have the selection I need, but they are always my first stop.

Just like you and I, the people that work the registers here are real salt-of-the-earth people. If you take a minute to engage them, you may get a laugh or a smile in their eyes...behind the the mandated mask. This stop is always an excuse to get out of the house for fresh air....now, if I could only remember which aisle has the KY Jelly and Plastic wrap :-)

The very best in veterinary care for my animals, from my horses to my little critters, there is someone there always to help. Sometimes and lately i have been here alot. Any emergency and they are ready. I love the staff at Mueller Veterinary Services. Thanks everyone and Merry Christmas

The manager Ali is rude & lacks severe customer service. I tried to buy my nephew a plastic sword from Halloween & at the register it rang up a penny instead of the $4 so he snatched it off the counter & said its not for sale.

Sorry for the mix-up. This review was for the WATERLOO store, not Millstadt. They have finally fixed the outside lights, but now the inside is a disaster with the front door runner out of place, trash on the floor, toys and other merchandise on the floor and this is at 9:00 on a Sunday morning. Also, only one person working (manager), so if she's in another part of the store, you either have to wait until she sees you, yell for her or walk out. IF I go there again and no one at the register, I'm walking.

One of the worse DG I've visited.1.Management does not exist.2.Under Staffed.3.Messy4.Unpleasant at times.5.Long wait lines5a.Never 2 registers opened5b.The main register is filled with items they are trying to make you buy. There is no space to check out.6.Always out of items7.I could keep going8.Remodeled and took the long register away. These people have no idea what they are doing here.I recommend going to another DG.Columbia's is top of the line.

This store is clean and has friendly service. There aren't many options in town for buying basics, such as toiletries, gift cards, groceries, and Dollar General is one of the places I probably visit the most often.

3 or 4 people working. Only 1 register open. The others just stood around looking at people. This is absolutely the worst dollar general I have ever went in to. I will never spend another dollar here. Lol pun intended. I'll go somewhere else. And if I could zero stars I would

The isles are a cluttered mess and there is never enough people working the registers. You cant go there if your in a hurry because it takes forever in the checkout line.

This store has really changed, for the better the last few months. Way less clutter than other dollar generals I've visited and the customer service was fantastic!

Of course still a lot of shelves are empty and there is a lot of big carts sitting in all the aisles where you cannot get through packed full of merchandise that has not made it onto the floor very difficult to buy things when you can't get to the aisle to even see them

I go here because it is the closest store to my house I like when they give you the $5 off coupons which is not every week the only thing bad I have to say about my particular Dollar General is the Isles a cluttered with sidekicks and a lot of times they are out of my favorite candy bar and I am very brand-loyal so if they don't have it I won't buy anything else
