They were at an event. Let me say everything we have tried so far has been excellent. The fudge was smooth and rich. The drinks are great and fun to mix and match flavors. The lemonade is excellent.The banana nut bread is FABULOUS.The people are friendly and welcoming 😊I would say this is a great company with excellent sweets and drinks! Give them a try I know you will love them to.We went to the shop itself. Let me say. AMAZING. soup was excellent, sandwiches were excellent. Chai tea was excellent. Their lemonade amazing as always. Give them a try. Love the atmosphere and ALL the yummy creations.

Just passing through and so glad we stopped here! The moment we walked in we were greeted so warmly. The baked goods looked so delicious that we couldn’t leave without something. I got a fruit tart cookie and it was one of the best cookies I’ve had my life. Not too sweet and delicious! My husband got a lemon cooler cookie and it was also so yummy! Can’t wait to try the banana bread brownie. We will be making another stop on the way back home. This place is a gem and they do baked goods just right!

Was at the Macabre Fair this weekend and tried one of the sandwiches for the first time. I loved it. I have had their fudge previously and was very happy with that as well. They make a banana brownie with their signature cream cheese frosting that is just to die for. I other words I have never had anything I did not like. Even their coffee, cold or hot, and their lemonade was all amazing. If you have not been here you need to go!!!!

I truly enjoyed my morning here. The coffee was good, the ladies who waited on us were kind and there to help you with whatever you need. The shop was relaxing, comfortable and inviting. The sweets looked AMAZING! I can't wait to go back and try some treats. Well worth the trip into town.

This is a place you don't want to miss out on. They have some of the best cookies in the tri-state area! It's in a great location. Though if you're not a parallel parker it may be a little intimidating but luckily it's not heavily trafficked. The food is pretty good as well.And the best part THEY HAVE COFFEE FLIGHTS! And they are amazing. It's worth the stop off of I-24.

Went this afternoon for the first time and bought a total of 7 different things and tried 5 of the thins and they were all so delicious and full of flavor and had perfect textures. I loved the almond croissant. It was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The spread they put in the middle was so wonderful. I didn’t get a picture because it was the first thing I tried and just engulfed it. It was a true 5 star croissant. I also really really loved the dessert in this picture with the apple topping was 5 stars too.

Super-excited about these Super-awesome goodies from @sissys_asweetshoppe in the Super town of Metropolis, Illinois!I know, I know, that was Super-terrible, but my goodies were Super-fantastic! Ok, I’m done being Super.Blueberry pastry, good old sugar cookie with icing, and a strawberry lemonade cookie. Yuuuummm!! All excellent, but I think the sugar cookie was my favorite.Sissy’s has more than just mentally nourishing food sweets!), there is physically nourishing sandwiches and salads, too, along with coffee, but I was just interested in the baked items.Park by the Superman statue and you can walk a few blocks down Main Street to Sissy’s, taking in other cool stuff in Metropolis before (or after) you get your sugar fix or other needs met.

Per the wife...the chicken salad is delicious, the son...the buffalo chicken panini is amazing, the daughter...the pina colada smoothie is yummi, and dad...the Turkey cranberry panini is on fleek. Eat here or miss out!

Hot coffee, Iced Coffee, and Flavored Lemonades along with fresh baked goods, fudge, and amazing artistan ice cream makes this a MUST SEE! The hospitality when you walk in to Sissy's makes you feel like you're walking into your grandma's kitchen...you just feel at home!! The decor is perfect, and you must take a picture by the mural outside with Love From Metropolis. If the weather is nice, enjoy sitting out front or even in the new courtyard by the mural. Just make sure you visit Sissy's when you're in Metropolis!

The nicest place in the whole town of Metropolis! Nice CSRs, nice food & drinks, nice atmosphere & looks! The coffee is my weakness & what I go for, but don't overlook the eats! From spill-proof cold-brew cups (a real biggie for those on the go), to fruit- filled Danish, to creme- filled cookies, to box- lunches & soups, and etc. ,this gem-of-a-localvore should be on the tip of the tongue for locals AND A GREAT ROADSIDE STOP FOR PARSER-BYS.Those fruit- filled Danish thingy-s though....IJS...I believe they're the best I've had and KNOW they're putting equal parts of weight & happiness in my tummy🤓 🤓

Such an adorable shop. Especially impressive for how small the town is. It’s so clean with such cool interior. Something you’d see in a huge city, yet it’s in Metropolis. Just seeing the original exposed brick (I’ve never seen this kind of brick ever before) is worth a visit.

I have stopped in here the last couple of weeks on my way to work. Each time I have not been disappointed. The coffee is AMAZING. And the sweets are equally as good. I love their Butter Bars! Staff is friendly, and atmosphere is great. I will be back.

LOVE this spot! Everything I've had here has been fantastic. Truly quality sweets and coffee/espresso. Extremely friendly employees as well. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the prices are a touch high, but you absolutely get what you pay for. I'll definitely come here every time I come to Metropolis to nerd out on Superman stuff!
