Had my female spayed and my male neutered here. Best place ever. I got a call when they were out of surgery and ready to be picked up. Done in a timely manner too. They were super understanding and caring when I expressed anxiety dropping my babies off. Definitely recommend them!

Dolly was adopted from this place when she was 2 months ago I believe. She is now 3 yrs old. Love her so much. Very healthy and beautiful

Just Animals is such a blessing to my doggies & myself! How lucky to have somewhere to go with our pets where we are able to get them their shots & heartworm, flea & tick meds at a price that is affordable! These days it is normally expensive to have a pet, not when we can go to Just Animals! The ones who run & work at the shelter, office & clinics, well, I cant even say enough about them. They have a huge passion for what they do & are patient, caring, organized & mostly cares about EVERY animal that walk thru that door!

Our Buddy is forever grateful that you took him. Odds were against him with his disabilities but Just Animals knew a family was out there looking for a him. Buddy is the best!!! Almost 9 years old. Our yearly donation to help those animals in need will always be sent.

Just got a kitty Basil and the entire Family is absolutely in Love with him. The shelter is wonderful and put there Love with each and every fur baby. We drove almost 3 hours for Basil and will definitely come back.. Kudos to all the staff

Everyone is so very kind and caring here!! Prices are much less than anywhere else , it's so much more affordable. Prices are clearly marked online. You can schedule appointments online at various locations. We get all our medications here, too. They are very punctual, and everything is streamlined and very efficient. It's immaculate and always smells so good when you walk in. I am very pleased and grateful!!

I brought my rescue cat to the East Peoria, IL vaccine clinic in Sept 2023. They charged me $15 for an Exam and didn’t even have the cat in the back for 3 minutes. I find it hard to believe that they even took the cat out of the fabric, soft carrier because he is a difficult cat. I have to question how they examined the cat and how they gave him his rabies shot. I am really just taken aback, to be perfectly honest. I knew they would be running these pets through like cattle but I had no idea. I do not feel like my cat got an adequate exam and I even question if he got his vaccine and if he did it was done through the mesh of the soft carrier. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Just wanted to leave a note as to how cruel this looks. Both these puppies were hot and panting heavily on a 90+ degree day especially locked in such small cages. Unbelievable

I adopted a dog from here, he was very sick, I had no idea. The place I got him from was a grooming salon the foster owned. There was feces everywhere, the place was filthy. And clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages. I noticed a day after adoption he wasn't acting right, I got in touch with the foster, She refused to listen to me and said it was normal. I told her it wasn't, and this ain't my first adoption, and I used to foster. He continued to get sicker and I kept reaching out because they offer medical help and would get no answers, just answers that it normal. The next day he has a seizure because his fever was so high. I rushed to the emergency vet said she hasn't seen someone neuter a dog like that in decades. His white count was so high it wasn't registering. $2,500 later, he's okay thankfully. The cause was the neuter site, he was neutered through just animals where I adopted him. I contacted the director of the shelter she refused to make anything right, she told me to bring him back. I would never, I love him on top of it that was after I spent that much money and paid a $450 adoption fee.

We adopted a cat from here. The staff was very friendly and they were very helpful discussing with me at length they type of temperament that I was looking for in a pet. We got the laziest, most laid back cat on the planet, and that is exactly the kind we wanted. Luna is an absolute delight. We are lucky to have her.If you are thinking about a pet, consider a shelter animal.

Adopted a kitten in the spring and another in the fall. They are truly an amazing rescue. They do everything they can for the cats they get- honestly The BEST rescue iv ever dealt with. They don’t get enough credit!!!The “bad reviews” about sick kittens is sad to read. Blaming the rescue and counting every penny toward there adopted family members… this is a RESCUE.. they are saints and thanks to everyone who works there!! You do amazing work day in and day out ❤️ Remember that!!

Adopted 7 month old kitten from Just animals shelter. Being first time pet owner, I had many questions. All staff members were super helpful and patient in answering all questions. Special mention of Abbey from staff for her guidance in choosing cat that would fit our family best. Shelter is clean. Not crowded. Have enough space for their animals and taken good care of.

I drove from Indiana, to meet & see a dog . I didn't know the dogs were not kept there. The girls were still helpful. They let me fill out an application to adopt a dog.I will be back. ☺️

Just Animals Shelter is the Best!!! They are kind, caring, loving, and wonderful to our Kittie Cat's. Affordable, Wonderful, Great Location. They Neutered my Precious Boy Kittie. He's the sweetest boy. We purchase their medicine here also. So Affordable! Our kitties are Happy & we are also. We highly Recommend this shelter. They have a "Cat Room" so you can visit their Cats that are available for adoption. It's Amazing! We love this place. Attended my 1st wellness clinic today. It was EXTREMELY busy and they were very efficient and friendly! I was extremely impressed! The best part was that I was able to get 3 year vaccinations, something my Vet has NEVER offered as an option. Was also able to get heartworm and flea/tick meds, for both of my dogs, at a much more affordable price. Talked to a woman while I waited, who normally can't afford to vaccinate/get preventive for her pup. I am so glad this service is available...and is run by a very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff! Thank you so much!!

We returned a cat we got (2 days later after getting her) because she wasn’t being social & she’s just hid away , she seemed very scared - she never had owners , she wouldn’t eat , drink nothing , & I did everything correctly , between food , liter box , toys , bed , but we felt she would’ve been more comfortable back where she was at …. She was comfortable at the shelter with us …. But First day we got her though she already had to go to an emergency vet . Paid 120 for her and paid a 350 vet bill - 500$ went out the door & we tried to negotiate and see if we can take that 120 & put it towards another kitten and they told us no & wouldn’t refund the money or pay the vet bill . So in the end we were out 500$ & a cat . I’m very unhappy with the board & director of this place . It’s such a a shame .

I took my Shepherd to the Wellness Clinic they held at the Big R. I filled out the paperwork online before I went, made an appt and all I had to do was show up. No fussing with paperwork while juggling an 80 lb dog who wants to greet everyone. They were on time and very efficient. The staff was loving and caring and my dog enjoyed all the attention even though she had a shot. They worked very hard to make it as easy as possible for the pet owners (there were 5 families with Shepherds at the same time) and they skillfully kept us all segregated so they wouldn't get all rowdy on us, which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend to anyone. There was no shortcuts to care at all.

Love taking my dogs here. Always very attentive and very well organized which is a huge plus when trying to take 2 large dogs that can be unruly sitting in a car waiting for their turn 😂

I love this shelter. Today I adopted the third cat I've gotten from Just Animals. I love that I can take my time wandering through the cat room petting allll the kitties. All the animals are lovingly cared for and they do low cost mobile clinics too.

Pleasant people, nice facility. Adopted my current cat there and when I was leaving, they were all genuinely sad to see her go but happy she found a home. These animals are not just animals here, they are claimed as pets until they can be adopted. Love it!
