My son went to purchase an Xbox after he had saved money. He had several one dollar bills. Upon going to electronics to purchase he was told by the employee, Dakota, that it would be easier if he would go up front and exchange the ones for bigger bills so he did t have to count them all. I have worked with customers my entire life and can’t believe how lazy and rude this kid was. You don’t make someone who is making a 500 dollar purchase go back and forth in the store because you are too lazy to do your job. Totally unreal how employees are nowadays.

I'm often at this Walmart to pick up prescriptions. I have trouble with mobility. The staff at the front door are ALWAYS courteous, helping me with the riding carts. Sometimes bringing it to me before I can even get in the door (I'm very slow). They are excellent!And then the guys who collect the carts often bring me a cart when they see me so I have something to hold on too as I'm walking in. They do a wonderful job collecting the grocery carts!! That's a hard job.

Our first time in this Walmart. We have been to 134 different Walton stores and we were impressed with the cleanliness and flow of customers. It was rather busy that afternoon, however the customer traffic seemed to move right along with the day. Kudos to the ‘Toon Team for operational excellence!

I have to admit with it being just 8 days until Christmas, I was impressed with the store....and that doesn't usually happen. The store was busy but most of the food isles were VERY WELL STOCKED! Anyone who shops here often knows that's not usually the circumstances. There appeared to be enough live cashiers working the registers to handle the crowd ..and let me tell you, that's never the case here...The store was clean and orderly and if you needed assistance one could actually find an employee of the store to help. THAT NEVER HAPPENS!! CONGRATS to the store and the workers. Whatever youve changed has definitely made a huge difference!! Please, keep it up!

I know this is late, but on January 10th we were waited on by the sweetest cashier. Her name is Kathleen it says Kath on her name tag. Just have to say she was very helpful, patient, and kind. Being new to this area, nice knowing there are friendly people still out there.

Could not get any assistance in the sporting goods department.They had a knife I really wanted to look at and purchase.I had to find a employee to get a sporting goods associate to come help.He walked up and asked if "we needed something "?I said I'd like to look at a couple knives.He said I have to go find someone with keys.25 minutes later we leftThe only people you see actually working are pulling orders for pick up.

Good prices, but I'm seriously considering driving out of my way just to avoid the NRG solicitors in the center grocery aisle. It's like willfully walking into a telemarketing call. Not a comfortable shopping experience especially after a long day of work.

Typical Wal-Mart, the bathroom was nasty, and the store was fairly clean. I used self checkout employees seemed uninterested talking amongst each other.

Mattoon Walmart is my favorite place to shop! Friendly people. Clean store. Always stocking shelves. Great Pharmacy too. Has everything I need at the most reasonable prices.

I fell at this walmart in August 08, of 2023. I was injured and reported my injury to management on the date that it occurred. A claim was opened at that time. And I have yet to receive a resolution on the matter. It is January of 2024, and walmart has avoided settling the case on mutliple occassions. Management is rude, lacks sympathy, and does not assist the consumer. I have had to go to the doctor for months. And I have complained to them on more than one occassion. I have lost my job due to the amount of doctor's visits, as well as due to my injury on multiple occassions. I am now currently waiting on paperwork to be submitted that was supposed to be presented to me in August. Walmart has not as of 01/11/2024 at 8:42am sent my doctors office the information and release I have sent them. They refuse to respond to my emails, unless I BCC another employee. And I am unsure of what else to do. I have extended my assistance as far as I can. I have never been so unfairly treated in my life. I feel I am being discriminated against due to my race, my gender, and my financial circumstance. Walmart is taking advantage of the fact that I am to poor to have legal representation. I do not agree with being mistreated due to being a minority that does not have the financial capacity to hire an attorney.

Horrible bathrooms!Very very rude produce management.What a mess that store is. Everything is out of place mis priced. Their auto department is worse. They overfilled my oil during a oil change. They left a big oily footprint on my floor board. It gets worse had a tired changed they took all the valve stems off my tires and left a lug nut completely loose. Are these guys on drugs?

Good customer service everything seems to be in stock the day I was there it was very busy and they did not have enough scooters so I had to walk through the store with a limp but everything else was fine

My husband and I brought our car down to get the oil changed and tires rotated. The guy at the desk said they were closing at 3:00 because they didn't have help, then my husband walked around the corner to leave and he said both employees were sitting there drinking pop, so he just suggested if they'd get to work they could get something done and one of the employees said "F__k you". We won't be back for service or groceries.

I thought the store wouldn't be busy, boy was I mistaken. Customer service was just fine. I even forgot my wallet in the car and that cashier was finishing up when I got back. No problems.

Walmarts okay but i don't like having to go all over the store to get my biweekly shopping done. It's especially irritating when they are stalking shelves. But all in all decent store and goods, good prices, clean. Never understood why they have all those checkout lanes but only few open and lines at the self checkoutsl

Clean, well-stocked, and a large variety of products. Employees are friendly.Concerned about Garden Center as most plants are either under-watered or over-watered. There’s never anything interesting other than the usual houseplants.Restrooms almost always have an intense odor. Maybe automatic air fresheners in a few corners of the restroom could help. They’re in Aisle B21.

Went to see about fixing tire. Walked in tire center no one at tire desk. Found Walmart employee ask about tire desk staff. Lady said not her department ask if she could call someone, she said didn't have phone, asked if she could call someone from tire desk, she said didn't know how to use it. I found button to unlock door to service area. Had lady push button as I opened. Ask guy in service area if could help. He was very rude, didn't seem to want to help. Left with low tire went to car-x tire & auto down the street. Very nice, respectful, willing to help. Fixed tire & got us back on road to home. Never go to Walmart to get tires or tire fix .Go to car x tire & auto.

I have been to a lot of Walmarts before All over the country this is by far the best Walmart they're always stocked in the customer service is on point every time I go there. April T who works in the front end team has always been very friendly and helpful her customer service is perfect thank you guys!

Overall usually a decent experience. Front end is always desperately under staffed, so if you are grabbing more than a few items expect a wait. Normally, the store is appropriately stocked.

I went to help my mom w a folding table etc.,just don't care for the huge size of the place,no clocks,.and getting hassled if you use self checkout,.I only go there if I can't find it anywhere else,...and I'd just soon make a few stops at smaller places than ever having to fool with Walmart.
