They're very friendly at the store they greet you when you come in they're fast efficient they always have their shelves nice and neat there's not stuff in the floor or nothing you're not tripping over her stuff like some stores so this is a good store

Great place for fast easy shopping. It's like a mini walmart without the lunatics roaming and odd style of clothes. Overall this particular Dollar General definitely has my approval. This was my go to place for toilet paper during the toilet paper scare.

This store has gone through major renovations over the past year. New management and expansion was only the beginning. The new manager has completely turned the store around. It is a very convenient and pleasant shopping experience every time I go there, which about 8 - 10 times a week.

Probably the only DG I trust. It's always clean and employees are helpful. It's nice to have nearby and saves me dreaded trips to Walmart for a lot of stuff. Usually I can find anything I need here and their fruits & veggies are fresh.

This Dollar General is one of the nicer ones I've been too. It even had a small selection of produce which I LOVED seeing! The store was clean (unlike most Dollar Generals) and the staff was very friendly.

Let me say first off that I was there pretty late. This particular store closes at 10PM. Well I was out of solution and I needed to get some and get some Cotton balls before they closed. I walk in the door at 9:50. I know the general idea of where the solution and Cotton balls are so I know it won't take long. As soon as I walk in the girl at the register looks at me and says "Um we are gonna be closing in 2 minutes". Again, it's 10 til but I say "don't worry I won't be long". The entire time I am looking I can here her from the register saying "we are closing""We are closing". Easily 5 times and then one of the other workers turns the lights out and the girl says "and we are closed". I check my phone and it's 9:54. Look, I get it. I don't like dealing with customers near closing time either. But I need Cotton balls and contact solution. I'm not doing a whole grocery shopping expedition at 10 til. I was gonna be gone before 10 PM regardless so give me a break. I go up to the counter and the girl goes "the computer is closed out". I didn't say anything, and she says she will try to get it back on. Two buttons and she swipes my items. You're open until 10. Don't close everything down early and hound whatever customers you have in there just because you wanna go home a couple minutes early. Most of the time I don't have this experience when I go during the day, but the certain night crew needs to be looked at. Absolutely ridiculous.

Great if you don't have a Walmart near by. They're cheap, have a great inventory, and the staff is outstanding. I have yet to have a bad experience at the Mascoutah store. A red box is located outside the entrance and they have a small yet convenient grocery section. It truly is a one stop shop for the penny pincher. 👍

Very clean store. Always stocked up properly. Staff is friendly and helpful. They do more than just point you in a direction. They'll take you straight to what you are looking for.

Great prices, however, popular items are not always stocked and while the employees are good with customers, they are usually always stocking shelves so you have to wait or ring a bell when ready to check out. This is aggrivating at times.

I enjoy the cleanliness ,the ease of access to get to the DG in my town and the variety of items the carry, but the lines always seem unbelievably long whenever I visit.

One needs to be wary of prices when you get to register. Items marked $1.50 are ringing at $1.75. It takes nearly an act of Congress for the cashier to fix the problem. Also a "buy 4 get one free" offer on the shelf was not honored at the register.

Cheaper prices and store is fully stocked with grocery items and home essentials. COVID social distance markers easily visible. You are likely to much of what you're looking to purchase.

you know, i should feel safe going to my local dollar general during this pandemic to get the things that i need at a cheeper price. i come in to the store and plenty of patrons are doing a great job wearing their masks and doing their part, but i cannot say the same for the workers. i saw several workers in this dollar general with masks on their chins and mouths and not covering both their nose and mouth. throughout the store, as well, there are signs saying that masks are required, however the workers dont follow this? i'm extremely disappointed and upset about this, please do better.

The store personnel, the customers, everyone is aware of the covid-19 scare and treating it as such. I've been to a few similar cities of similar size and they aren't taking it near as serious as our store here in mascoutah is taking it. I love our caring citizens

It's an average Dollar General ... Besides being understaffed and a constant mess! I find myself putting things back on shelves or hanging up clothes almost every time we go there. It's convenient and cheap. Can't beat that I guess

If you guys are going to close before 10pm you should probably change the hours on your doors. It’s be a community service so we know exactly what time you close instead of getting there at 9:55 and the doors already being locked.
