I like that you've added a small produce section and are always stocked. The lady with dark brown hair and glasses is always super nice to me.I only ever see one person working at a time, sometimes two on rare occasions. I can't imagine how stressful that has to be to run a store all by yourself. Hire more people. Your employees deserve better than that

Dollar general is always good. Don't get it confused with dollar tree. Dollar general means ..in general things are anywhere from$1.25- $25 . Dollar general.

This is the best Dollar General location that I have ever been to. I go there regularly. They are always well stocked and have the name brand and generic brand options and also stock just about anything I need to live a decent life with in that they have their great food selections, beverages, house hold & personal care items as well. I find their prices to also be quite competitive and their employees are always quite helpful if I need something and can't find it. Very laid back & courteous as well as polite and since I see the same employees working they know me on sight and I am not dealing with somebody new of every visit since the don't seem to suffer the turnover rate with a bunch of newbies like I experience in other stores. So you have the choice to buy on a budget or to buck up and get name brand quality products. Their parking lot is always clean as well as the store and I feel very comfortable returning there on a weekly basis or just for a quick stop to pick up something quick. I'd recommend this Dollar General to anyone as a best of Dollar General location around. I often bring my mother who is 82 years old to this location because she just loves the selection and prices - it is a real treat for her to get her shopping done in a laid back & generally not crowded place & she just raves about how this is the best Dollar General I've ever been to after we are leaving the parking lot!

I stopped in after Church today. Never been to this one. It was so clean, organized, you could actually walk through the store without stuff waiting to be put away, in the way. The lady working was so very nice. She was very helpful as well. I couldn't find where the mixer was. I thanked her. Her reply was, I'm glad you didn't just leave because I like to help people find what they need.I'm super impressed and truly appreciat the phenomenal customer service/care

Does not stack 5 off 25 coupon with other coupons although they’ve previously done it. Go to Glen Carbon Dollar General to be able to get the lowest prices with your coupons. They will work there.

They are always outside smoking so when you walk in you have to pass through a big cloud of smoke. I had to go to the self checkout the other day because she was outside smoking and apparently did not want to come in and do her job. It's convenient to run in and grab items but not impressed with the workers.

The store is clean, so there’s that. The manager is rude and seems annoyed and probably overworked. I’ve had 2 encounters with her and I always think what a miserable person she is. Definitely needs to brush up on customer skills.
