Had the double cheeseburger. Was very juicy and tasty!This is not your typical "restaurant", it is more like a diner where you place your order, they call your name, you get your food then go sit and eat. No waitresses, no busboys, in fact, you go outside and eat on their picnic tables. It is all about the atmosphere! Very relaxing if your into it!Obviously, recommended you go on a nice warm day with a friend. Sit outside, eat a delicious burger and enjoy the air and companionship.

Well worth a two and a half hour trip to the middle of nowhere. George Motz sent us there, but the food will bring us back. The burgers made me nearly propose to my partner because of how happy they made us. They have a lovely assortment of strange sodas, and every piece of decor will drag you into the experience better than the last. Will always hold a wonderful place in my heart. Well done, Moonshine.

Been riding 2 1/2 hours there two to three times a year Well worth the drive. Food is great. Atmosphere is nice and the folks there are always friendly. Always have friendly people to talk to while eating. Everyone has their own story or where they’re from and how often they come.Definitely a destination spot for lunch. Being the distance from there you have to plan ahead or you won’t make the grill cut off time.

This is a story of a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, that does one thing really well and for that reason brings in people from miles around. It was slammed the Saturday I visited so I had a little wait, was thinking the burgers might have looked a little dry, but when I took my first bite, it was absolutely delicious. Only thing I did wrong, I had a triple when a double would have been plenty

The cheeseburger wasn't anything special other than being big. Pretty dry and unseasoned. They get busy so they aren't really making to order, and the burgers sit there and aren't warm when they come out. The toppings were separate and outside and again, pretty standard. No tomato or lettuce just onion and pickle and condiments. The sides were done for the season(?) So we were just eating the chips and again, nothing special. No drinks other than soda, so kind of a miss except for the atmosphere and the nice staff. If you're going it's mostly just to say you went there or because Motz sent you.

For being a small burger shop in the middle of nowhere it was a good burger. It wasn’t the best burger I’ve ever had but it was up there. Homemade macaroni salad was amazing. Thought 1:00 close is kinda early being on a time zone border. Would recommendDietary restrictions: Nut and shellfish accommodations

Amazing. This place is a nice country drive away. You don't want to miss this one. Amazing burgers, so fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is much bigger than it appears. Country little place on the corner with big tasty food.

Just a wonderful example of "Americana" circa 1950-60! An old time type general store that serves delicious food, most notably burgers. They are great .. big, juicy and served hot off the grill. This is one of those "bucket list" type places you just have to try! People come from all over the country and, indeed, the world to try a "Moonshine Burger". I'm sure glad I did too!Vegetarian options: Yes, they do offer a veggie burger.Parking: Not a lot of parking places.Wheelchair accessibility: Not take accessible because of the old nature of the building.

The freshest hamburger you will ever have. Handmade and cooked fresh. If you remember how good grandpa's cookouts tasted this will bring it all back. Simple with fresh garden raised toppings and outdoor picnic seating area. The most countriest atmosphere you will ever find. The country store is just loaded with antiques that will bring back great memories. Warning to get there early as they close the grill at 12:30. For such a small place there will be plenty of people from all over the USA coming to find this treasure and to get a down home style hamburger.

It was awesome all my goodness it was so good I don't know about ATM I don't do that they were very friendly and very quick so awesome my boyfriend I had a double burger if you are used to getting a triple burger here at other restaurants please do not get it there it is huge because double burger I almost couldn't even eat it all they also had a bar there to get all of your pickles and excetera it was cool you can pick whatever you wanted on your burger 🍔 or whatever you got don't go when it is raining cuz you have to sit outside on a picnic table but family-friendly and excetera it's pretty awesome everybody's really friendly

Came here with our Jeep club. Awesome food, awesome service, awesome location! It is literally in the middle of a cornfield, and it is so neat seeing it so busy! When we got there, there was a motorcycle club already there, on top of the 100 jeeps we were with! Look this place up and read about its history, its pretty neat! We are going on a road trip in July, and we definitely plan on stopping on the way through! Oh and they sell merchandise as well!

A destination burger joint with a unique history. Go back in time to when things were simpler to enjoy a Moonshine burger that has been featured on a variety of national platforms. There's nothing special about the way these large burgers are prepared... they're just fried up on an old flat grill with no special seasonings, but the taste is unforgettable. Get there on time... the grill turns off at 12:30 pm.

Quaint little place to get something fresh off the grille. The kids had corn dogs and the adults had hamburgers and pork burgers. The food is very tasty and my husband could hardly get his mouth around the double cheese burger. The seating is outside on picnic tables and there is plenty of sun or shade whichever you prefer. Make sure you get there before 12:30 when the shut off the grille.

The best burgers ever!!! So worth a drive for lunch from central Indiana! Used to participate in the motorcycle Moonshine Ride back in the day. Keeping tradition of riding here couple of times a year.Parking: Plenty of parking.

Love the out in no where land. The baco. Cheeseburger was good but the only reason I gave them a 4 was hoping they had fries or maybe some good old fashion cole slaw, Chips were ok. Going back in the summer to get a Tshirt when they get some womens. V-neck in. Ladies they r out in the middle of no where so if you won't use a port a pot don't go.

Everyone has to visit this little country store with the BIG burgers. Food there is excellent.Be there before 12:30 because they close and don't open till 6:00 am next day. All dinning is done outside at picnic tables. Great service, good food, good value and step back in time for awhile.
