If I could give this family restaurant more stars than 5, I would! Nicest employees who really care for their customers with a joyful attitude of service. Stopped here after showing real estate down the road and so glad to have enjoyed the BEST all-you-care to eat Walleye Fish Fry. Maybe I was super hungry, but the simple salad with the ranch was the best I've had in a while. And the GENEROUS first-serving of the Walleye didn't have me asking for more. Perfectly presented and the absolute BEST TASTING and TOP CHEF PREPARED Walleye that you couldn't replicate in the finest restaurants for triple the price. I don't know how they have such affordable prices, but Marseilles Family Restaurant is the best value and deserves everyone's business to support a GREAT Family Restaurant! Thanks for a great experience and keep up the amazing work.

The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. If you want hospitality like they have known you for years and delicious food at a great price, then you need to come here. Every lunch dish I have tried so far is amazing. I have ordered on the app, which is super easy to use, and I have called in an order, which they were very patient receiving. Great restaurant to go for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner with family, coworkers, and/or business. They also have freshly squeezed orange juice!! Just moved to Marseilles last year, so location is close to home, BUT I'm autistic and because of sensory issues, I have an aversion to actually going into this diner, and have explained this more than once to them, and request curbside service. If Amy is working, she will accommodate this, but the other woman who takes phones orders REFUSES TO ACCOMMODATE my requests for curbside service, and always has some lame excuse.The only reason I'm ordering from there lately is that my usual diner, Brite Spot in Ottawa, has been closed all summer because of a fire, and they aren't opening back up until November. Unlike Marseilles Diner, Brite Spot is a comfortable place for me, they have known me for a long time, and treat me like family. It has become obvious that Marseilles Diner has zero interest in my patronage. Today, after being refused curbside service AGAIN, I said NO MORE. I ordered curbside service at the Hi-Way Restaurant in Ottawa, and I'll be going there until Brite Spot opens back up.I usually order breakfast a few times a week, and dinner 1-2 times a week. That money adds up. It should be against the law to refuse to accommodate people with special needs. Just because it's not a physical disability doesn't mean anything. People with sensory issues need special accommodations too sometimes. Shame on Marseilles Diner for failing to accommodate ALL special needs. I grew up in Ottawa and will be sharing this with my friends.Update: there is one waitress there who always is rude to me, and she calls me ma'am all the time, even when I tell her to stop, even when I show her my driver's license with my male name and male sex marker, she is either stupid or she does it intentionally. Either way, I'm thinking about suing for harassment and discrimination.

Fantastic family restaurant hidden away in Marseille, IL. The breakfast was really good. Our waitress Amy was extremely nice and pleasant. Laid back atmosphere. We will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: If you are following a very strict diet you know what you can and cannot eat.Parking: There is plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: They do have a children's menu.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance, restrooms, and seating is wheelchair accessible.

Great food and friendly, attentive service. Very clean and didn't smell like grease, which I personally frown heavily upon. Large portions for a good price. After we were done and paid and walking out the door I asked about a desert in the case that was interesting looking and was told it was frog moose, lol, my daughter said "yum!" and I said we'd try it next time we came in and started for the door and the young woman behind the counter said hold on and gave her one of the frog mooses! So so nice! My daughter LOVED it!

I ordered breaded mushrooms for a starter which were huge!!!! I had a bowl of chicken shell first which comes with the $7.00 burger basket I ordered. I love soup, no matter how hot it is outside, and this was very tasty. When I got the mushrooms, there were 8 on the plate and 2 sides of ranch dressing (not bottled☺️). They were so good even though they were a little too big! The middle of the mushroom was almost cold, I think because of their size. But if you love mushrooms, you'll LOVE these and a good price too, $7.99. I could only eat 4 and that was pushing it. The hamburger was big but the patty was dry and tasted frozen, not hand patted. Good for the price though. I had to bring it home after the soup and shrooms. Overall great prices and good food!!!

I met a lady in Missouri who raved about this establishment. It did not disappoint. The meals were very big and priced very decently. They sat 9 of us with no issue. The kids' meals could feed 2 country kids or one city kid. We all had left overs, the mushroom Swiss burger was great, my granddaughter loved her micky mouse pancakes. Thanks for the great experience.

Most excellent small town diner! Onion rings, batter fried are excellent, as are the pork tenderloin. You can get the tortilla fried on taco Tues. I sampled one and that's what I'd do! I heard this place had great soups. The beef barley sure is.Can't wait to do it again.

I have always liked going to this place to eat. Today I ordered online and seen a different option for potatoes to go with breakfast. Dave's way. Hands down the best hash browns I've ever ate. I have ate here many times and had no clue they existed until today. So good. I didn't even eat the rest of my food yet, that was good enough for now

I was really disappointed with this place. It had the 2nd highest restaurant rating in Marseilles on Google maps so we figured we'd get it for dinner on our way through. I did not receive my food until over 30 minutes past when I scheduled the pickup, the sides of fruit were just canned fruit, and honestly the food was just ok (I've had better tasting food at some fast food restaurants for far less. The staff was nice to me but they were severally stressed and out of sorts. I can't recommend this place based on my experience, sorry.
