Dog likes the vegetarian canned food but I find it is inconsistent. Each can seems to be a different color or consistency.

bought a case of the hunks of beef so far three cans out of six that i used were almost nothing in the cans and at 4 dollars a can not good if they are supposed to be hand packed

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews based on my own personal experience. I have never dealt with the company directly. However, I have seen the results with the food. I have a Doberman who is used to eating home cooked food, but it was just too much work. She is fussy. I have tried all the premium brands and even imported food on Amazon that was not locally available. I literally bought this food out of interest and desperation. I was expecting to dump in the garbage. Was I surprised! She devoured it and has kept devouring it. The vet has commented on her excellent condition and many other dog owners as well. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. I understand that you are in a highly competitive industry worth billions of $$$. I trust my dog to choose what is best for her. You have a client for life unless to sell to one of the big conglomerates.

I was really happy to find the controlled magnesium cat food through a recommendation in an article on The Spruce, however I was disappointed that every order I made came with food of vastly different compositions. I had a well balanced batch, then a very watery batch, then an extremely fatty batch… my cats were not impressed with the changes (particularly the last fatty batch) and stopped eating it. I wish the food would be a little more consistent. It seemed great while it lasted. I also wish their customer service would have responded to me. I reached out about being unable to leave a review on product due to a “failed captcha” error when there’s no captcha presented.

I have a very picky bulldog who won't eat anything, unlike most bulldogs. I found a small bag of this new product, Evangers Hi Bio, and thought why not try it. My dog LOVED it and it's the only food he will eat consistently. I rotate between Evangers Beef and Evangers Chicken just in case my dog gets picky again, but so far so good and I'm glad I decided to try Evanger's.

My dog loves the wet food. Great product and worth the price. Seems like the only negative reviews are from people that have had a bad customer service experience. It takes two to tango, in my opinion. If the product is enjoyed by and good for your dog, look inward and quit being selfish.

I have a very picky 12 year old female Dachshund that I rescued almost 4 years ago. Being that I have many cats and other dogs that I have also rescued over the years, I usually buy them the less expensive canned and dry foods.I received a can of the duck and sweet potato as a sample with a couple of packets of dry food and treats from Pet Supplies Plus today and decided to try the wet food out on them to see which ones of my 4 little dogs would like it.My female Dachshund hardly ever eats with the other 3, but tonight she decided she loved this food enough to eat every bit of it as soon as I put it in front of her. What a shocker. I can't believe how excited she was to eat her dinner for a change. The only food she eats more happily than this is my food.I am really impressed with how much my little Dottie loved your food.Even though unfortunately it's too expensive at around $2 a can to feed them daily, I may buy it as a special treat for them on occasion.

This food has improved my cats' health! They used to throw up EVERY morning on supermarket brands. None of them lived past 12 years and I now have a 20 and 15 yr old going strong. Plus they eat less because there is so much more nutrition in Evangers food and no filler.

Until about 4 months ago, I would have rated this dog food a 5+. All my dogs have been eating their canned food for years. However, these past four months I have noticed an increased amount of "broth" in the cans, especially the canned rabbit, to the point where I throw approximately 1/3 of the can into the garbage. What's even more frustrating is that the last case of canned rabbit I purchased had 6 cans with tops that had "popped". This tells me that the cans may not have been sealed properly when they were packed. Since no one returns my messages on Facebook, I'm mailing the cans back to Evanger's with a letter stating that their customer service is less than stellar. As a Customer Service Manager, I know the importance of responding to customers. So disappointed. I thought you were one of the better dog food manufacturers.

I was given a bag of Evanger's Premium Chicken & Wild Rice by the breeder I got my puppy from, in CA, 3 years ago (I live in WI). I normally order from Chewy's and delivery is pretty quick, but due to the holidays, and several other unforeseen circumstances, my dog's food supply got very low and wasn't sure if ordering from Chewy's would get here in time. Because of a touchy stomach, this is the only food I've fed him from a puppy until now. I called Evanger's after not having any success with their Midwest representative, Elaine Burch, trying to locate a store; any store in WI that might carry the Evanger's brand I needed. Called the Evanger's store today and whoever I was talking to would not shut up; couldn't get a word in edgewise, trying to find a place to get some dry food for my dog, and the jerk hung up on me. So, will be switching from Evanger's simply for extremely poor customer service. I'd advise other's to do the same.

I am fostering a hospice dog and she is a very picky eater. The only thing her regular foster said she has been eating is the Evanger's Chicken and Evanger's Duck recipes. She LOVED it! She wolfed it down! This is amazing for a picky eater. I will be using the Evangers foods for all of my foster dogs.

Since I have been using Chicken and Brown Rice Recipe all three of my (small) dogs fur has gotten softer and shinier the same effect I got from Pedigree with Dino-Vite mix @ a great deal more money. The reason I switched was an article in Whole Dog Journal.

Evanger's is still a wonderful product that everyone should stand by. Yes they had a recall but the product is still 100%
