I had emailed them regarding obtaining gift cards for my kids for Christmas. And they were very helpful and accommodating. I do not live close so I was able to do this all by email. They made it so easy for me. They even mailed the gift cards to me! My children were very pleased with their gift!!!

Every time I come in to purchase a round steak, I ask for it to be tenderized. And every time the employees act as if it is a complete waste of their time to clean the tenderizer machine and run my steak through. The last time I was there, I had called and asked for them to do this as I was on my way there from work and I was hung up on.

This is my favorite place to get some good, quality meat. Ground chuck roast makes hamburgers to die for. Pork chops are phenomenal and if you want, they will cut you some fresh filets. Staff is excellent. They are busy but always quick to get you taken care of. I have been going there for many years and will continue to do so.

Driven by so many times, and I wish I had stopped in sooner. These family run stores are the true slice of Americana. I always prefer to give my money to these establishments over corporate chains. I recommend the Pork Steak. It was absolutely delicious and smoked to perfection!! The staff were very friendly and knew what they were talking about. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Over priced on about everything. Asked for a brisket thinking the over priced issue was because they have top of the line cuts. Nope, handed me a huge chunk of fat. Better looking briskets at Schnucks for a third the price. Didn’t buy it and won’t be back.

Went to Small's Meat Market in Marion today & those men behind the meat counter were RUDE!!!! It took awhile to get my order done and 2 of them treated me like a major inconvenience and reaked of annoyance at my order. The hispanic fella was nice and tried to pitch in and help but the bearded dude told him to stop. Rude! Twice I was told that I can order online bcz they were shorthanded. I dont know what I want til I see it and Logan doesnt eat any less bcz they are short staffed! A lady walked up and asked me if I had been helped yet and I responded with "yes and they're obviously gonna hate me by the time I'm done" bcz their attitude was vivid.The short dude piped up and said "We already do".A female co worker walked by a few minutes later and said to the short dude, 'Jody (i think that was the name she said) You have a line of customers and he loudly proclaimed "I dont care"🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️I have always loved Small's and would rather support a local, small business but I won't be going back. Sam's Club has great meat, thier prices are much lower and they dont complain about how much I buy!!!!

This place is always busy for good reason. So many options to choose from at the meat counter. Hot plate lunches every day - call ahead and reserve, as they may run out if not reserved. There are other hot items to choose from most days such as BBQ pork steak, chicken, etc. They will also make a fresh deli sandwich to order. Prices are very reasonable. Large selection of items to choose from in other grocery as well. Cold drinks, fresh individual pies, vegetables, frozen items.

We as a family shop there daily but the older man with the mustache is always grumpy can never get service with a smile seems like he doesn't want to be bothered by certain customers. Wonder if other customers feel the same regardless of that the over all rating of the establishment is a 5 star great prices and and friendly service from everyone else.

When you enter the store it smells so good! That is the fresh cooked porkchops and other meats that smalls has to offer. Their butcher meats are always fresh and delicious when you cook them. I enjoy that it is an option to order a meat bundle. This store may be small but it has a large variety of grocery items to offer including fresh produce. The employees of Small's are always so helpful and kind.

This store is simply perfect. I cannot give it anything but praise. Excellent meat department, in particular, although there is a good selection of other items, as appropriate for a neighborhood grocery. I have experienced the benefits of direct, personal service at Small's.... including intelligent product recommendations.... which are always spot on!! GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY. YOU WILL NOT REGRET DOING SO.

This store has been my main store since Donnie Labotte was the carry out boy and the high standards, BEST meat in the State and the finest owners and employees that become friends. I am not from Marion but lived in Creal Springs for 80 years and now in Carterville for 8 and sending my neighbor for my meat. Think you all for all you do for your buyers!

This could be an amazing little shop, but the butchers are rude and condescending. They have no sense of humor nor do they want to interact with customers. Everyone else is amazing to deal with. You just lost our business in the butcher shop, not that you care and not that you’ll do anything to change.

I bought several pounds of bacon when they had it on sale for $3.99 a lb thinking I was getting a bargain. However, it has a very different taste and fries up tough. Not sure if it was a lower grade bacon but sure isn't what they always advertise as best bacon around.
