Both locations of dg in creal springs and lake of Egypt failed to have any properly cleaned or maintained restrooms available , creal springs might as well been a plunge it your self or piss your pants situation where as lake of Egypt women are forced to use the men’s room that the handleset is falling off of because the woman’s restroom is down. Some one just had to shake the nob to see you use the restroom. Neither location met standards for the public restrooms. This is highly unsafe for children and teens (lake of Egypt)

Usually we don’t have that many issues with this DG. However, yesterday we went in and got many items for snacks and lunch items for the week. We went to cook tacos using the taco kit, and there was mold in the soft shells. Today, started to slice up summer sausage and it smelled rancid, had an orange tint to it, and was covered in slime. I went and got my refund for the summer sausage, as we had already thrown away the taco package and the molded items the night before. I did mention it to the workers and explained that they weren’t expired yet still were molded and the sausage wasn’t expired either. I received my refund and came home to make sandwiches to take out on the boat, every slice of cheese I opened is like this. I’m assuming someone left items out longer than they were suppose to or maybe items had a temperature spike. Whatever the case is it is very frustrating. We will be using the DG that is in the next town over for the remainder of this week long trip.

Check your receipt and know your prices when you check out. You know those little Debbie donuts that are always 2 for 4.00? Twice now they have rung up at 2.50 a piece but was corrected when i said something. I wonder how many other items I have gotten over charged for and didn't even know. BEWARE

The store in general has expanded to include fresh vegetables and more frozen foods, which is great I have no issue with the store. The cashiers they hire tend to be very rude. One cashier was talking badly about a customer as the customer walked out, to the other cashier in front of all the other customers in line.

Store is an absolute mess and we waited at the cash register for someone to check us out. When she finally did come to the register, she didn't apologize for our wait and she was halfway through our items before she realized she should probably speak to us. The employees there have always shown poor customer service and the store is always a mess.

I worked here when the store originally opened some 4 or 5 years ago. Not only was it a horrible job, but it's insanely cluttered now and half of the stuff is just sitting on top of the shelves in the packing boxes. One thing I will say though, is that Darryl, the manager now, is a very good hard working guy. I don't know any of the other employees anymore though.

Great and friendly service. Always very kind. No matter the staff. Have a nice variety of items. Much more than the family dollar in town.Very convenient location also and store hours. I would definitely recommend this dollar General to anyone.

Employees are kinda trash and don't seem to clean much. The location has a good selection, some produce, and hands down the easiest to use self checkout kiosk I have ever encountered.

Clean store for the most part.Employees are always awesome.Havent had a rude one yet. Shelfs are always stocked.They have little bit of everything so its very convenient instead of going all the way into town.

Well supplied. Well stocked. Staff is always friendly and helpful but you can tell they are overworked and underpaid. Dollar General should take better care of their most important asset.

Worst DG everrrr! I can walk in and run into an associate in every aisle until I need to check out. Then they all disappear. When they finally come to the register, they act like you're a jerk for shopping there. My family avoids this store at every chance we get TBH.

We love the staff. Very friendly. The people who gave bad reviews obviously just wanted somthing to complain about. I have been to Dollar General stores in multiple states. Very rarely do I run into one as clean, stocked and friendly as this one. I prefer this store then any other. The one down the road in Goreville on the otherhand... wow. One of their managers is a liar and a jerk. Ive had to call his district manager twice on him. He makes up his own rules and thats that. The other employees are great.Lake of Egypt Dollar General will always be #1 in my book.Forget what the #haters say. Pot heads working there 😂 yeah right ! ( takes one to spot one )

I have been going to this store regularly for five years. Lately I have noticed that that the employees and management have not been friendly or helpful. Last year I gave this store a five star, but something has definitely changed.

The staff is always very friendly but occasionally understaffed. The quality is hit or miss as with most discount stores but I have gotten some good bargains and they very conveniently located.

The Western Union app they use at this place is not functioning properly. It took me 3 trips to the store to finally get my money! Not to mention the time and frustration spent!

If there is 2 workers and there 11 people in a line they won't open another register if keishas not there! And a couple pot heads for sure work there that's usually stoned.
