The Feed Store is a gem hidden away in a small town. I was there with a dozen women. We all thought the food was exceptional, and so were the relatively low prices. I will be back and highly recommend.Vegetarian options: There were several mouth-watering vegetarian options. I had the veggie fajita quesadilla. There were plenty ingredients in the quesadilla with a side of guacamole. It was yummy.

Enjoy a 50s/60s western movie while chowing down on some seriously good food. A must is the S.O.B burger or ribs! Haven't found anything we haven't liked.Kid-friendliness: Chicken tenders, fries and chocolate pudding with an ice tea is a staple among our grandkids.

Told me to leave my daughter outside on one occasion because she was crying. She’s one. Another time my husband and I were there with three of our kids and had to wait over a hour for our food and it was cold and disgusting. We were only people in restaurant. There were a few customers at the bar.Kid-friendliness: NONE

Ordered the "Belly Buster" - a breaded pork tenderloin, which was served on a king size bune and home made fries. The tenderloin was well prepared - not dry and huge (I came home with half of the pirtion).Service and atmosphere is great, with many "locals" who clearly frequent the Feed Store, with good reason!

Good food, quiet atmosphere, nice decor. Tried the baked mostaccioli with a side of french fries. I know that is a strange combo, but I wanted the former and was told the latter was really good and that I needed to try them. Both were great.

We had a nice dinner at the Feed Store. I have ordered the grilled pork chops - and the Feed Store ran out on chops, because of the popularity of this dish. I preferred to have the one available chop, which was more than enough. It was well cooked, not dry, with a hugh side of fries. Another enjoyable evening and meal, in a great atmosphere, off the beaten tfack but frequented by locals.

I have never left a restaurant this pissed off in my life!!!! I specifically went for a pizza and 20 mins after ordering said pizza, I'm told the pizza oven broke and they cannot make my pizza. I reluctantly order something else and 5 mins before I get my food low and behold out comes a pizza, but this wasn't my pizza, oh no this was a pizza for a table behind us that showed up as we were placing our second order! Meaning that while they couldn't cook my pizza because the pizza oven was "broke" they were able to cook someone else pizza 10 mins after I'm told I cannot have my pizza. I'm furious!

We came in with 3 babies and they didn’t give a high chair and I seen one there so one of the babies kept getting off the chair and cried when I put her back and a older lady who worked there said to leave and they gave us the bill and we didn’t order any food.

Feed Store212 Main StMalden IL. 61337Walk in and you are greeted by the smell of stale coffee. The décor is old dusty dated and musty.Bad Bad lighting struggled to read the menu. Look at the photos and you will see what I mean.There was no background music, a very uncomfortable dead atmosphere almost felt like we had to be quiet. There’s a table of 10 next to us and not a sound sshhh quiet. It is a mausoleum in here it’s where they bring the dead to dine. 10-15 minutes in and I can’t wait to leave. Music from the movie Deliverance was playing in my head.Come in order your food then sit in silence for 30-40 minutes until you get your meal. Serve some bread so the brutal wait isn’t so bad. The service is very amateurish as there are abundant “food auctions” all around. Anyone with actual restaurant experience knows what I mean. It’s when a server brings out food and they don’t know who ordered what. Who had the cod? Who had the roast? Then they hand you your plate so you can set it on the table yourself.I ordered the Bone-In Pork Chops with a honey maple apple glaze. I opted to have 2 chops instead of 1. The Pork Chops were cold bland dry jerky and that is not a glaze. “Hey chef”, which by calling you that is an insult to competent chefs. Learn what a glaze is. Ordering 2 pork chops instead of 1 is doubling your punishment. There is nothing about that abysmal dish I can say one positive thing about. I feel violated like I’ve been robbed. This place is just BAD!Vehicles park right in front of the place and you get blinded by the headlights. Maybe if a pickup truck would have come sooner I would have been able to see the menu better. If you do make the mistake of eating here which you should not I forbid you to eat here. Do not take a window seat if the sun is down.Really a cell phone for the credit card, get me the hell out of here!According to the Big Food Jerk4 of your 5 senses will be insulted at the Feed Store.Smell: Stale CoffeeSight: You will be blinded by headlights and have to look at a dated musty interior.Hearing: Well there is nothing to hear.
