Amazing place to visit! Really intriguing selection of really cool fossils, crystals, tongue drums (got mine from them 4 years ago, works great). Helpful staff, friendly as heck. And neva ONCE made me pay for drugs.(Jk. Forgive my goofiness. If I’m too serious I will physically die.)

Absolutely love this beautiful place. The people that are around there are amazing and the ice cream place is the best place to get ice cream. Worth the drive there. It NEVER disappoints.

I pop in at least once a month for my solitary witch needs...the staff and owner is incredibly informative and friendly...he made it possible for me to afford a special piece of labradorite (that took at least a half hour of him holding up chunk after chunk to assuage my indecision). He even stayed open a few minutes late so I would have enough time to make the trip from Carbondale after my classes! Their prices are very reasonable and if the owner thinks you will get a better deal elsewhere..he will encourage you to try another shop..A most cherished Outpost in a most beloved location!

What an amazing visit!! A little off the beaten path, but by far, one of the best little hideaways I've seen!! They were so helpful and knowledgeable!! We got some beautiful rocks and gemstones!! Much busier than I had expected since it was in the middle of nowhere, but, we will be back!! Please, take the time and it will be worth it!!

Hands down the best rock/gem shop in the state. We visited twice on a trip to southern Illinois. The selection is awesome and the staff are amazing. We return every few years because the selection is constantly changing. The guys that work in the shop are patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommended store. Good vibes and great items for sale. This place is one in a million. We brought our two young daughters (8 and 10) and the people that worked there gladly removed tons of of items from the display cases for our girls to view.

Cute tiny town.. 2 cute stores & a general store also.. I got the funny feeling it's a hippy town.. 1 store is like a new age type store with hand make soaps lotions and art work and jewelry.. It's such a cute tiny town lots of woods around!!

This place is awesome. The people are down to earth and are very kind. I love getting to go eat some ice cream and walk around the enchanting garden space behind the boardwalk. And if this little town is too much your 5 minutes from the beautiful Giant City State Park!

This place is TRULY a treasure. From the beautiful maze behind the stores to the absolutely incredible crystal/rock shop, this place is such a fun little thing to do in Southern Illinois. A MUST GO for crystal lovers!!! The guy who owns the crystal store is extremely knowledgeable and loves what he does.I miss this place so bad.

This place is always such a gem. I love going to the small shops here and the owners of each and people who work of them are so very nice. I always stop. I especially love going to the "Rock Shoppe" it has all my favorite gemstones along with essential incense(s) that I love. Always a pleasure here. ✨👍

Went to check out the store for the first time and was impressed with the broad and unique selection from crystals to incense and everything in between. It was also very clear the shop operators in that block are like a small family. I instantly felt a friendly, community vibe. When I was leaving I noticed I had a flat tire. Two of the shop operators came out to help me put on a spare. I was so relieved to have help, and save the money of calling a professional when one really was not needed. I was already planning on coming back, but they earned themselves a lifelong customer today!

The Rock Shop is amazing. Loads of great items for gifts or even for yourself. If you are driving through or even have to go off your travel path just a bit you really should swing by and check it out.
