We went for the Annual festival. The food was great and we knew what we were getting into. They were still very quick and handled the crowd with trusted experience. The steak sandwich was fantastic. Very tender, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. We were very impressed that they were able to provide great service, amazing food, and a great atmosphere with the crowd. We will definitely be back for the food and a great little town. Thank you Maeystown for a wonderful weekend!

I'm stuffed! This was a great spot. Everything we wanted. Lots of great sandwiches, salads, appetizers and specials. The Big Fish Sandwich was a thick piece of cod, and the fries were great. The smash burgers are seasoned well. You can tell the fried okra was fresh, even though it still tasted a little undercooked. The fried cauliflower were perfectly fried, get buffalo sauce with it.

Great food. Outside dining.Edit: Planning an event for a large group. I met with Kathy, the manager, who was delightful and answered all of my questions. She is very knowledgeable and willing to work with you to make the event seamless.New doors added to the addition make it easier to access the Creekside.Bathrooms are updated and accessible.Second Edit: Had my class reunion there this weekend. Food was wonderful. Facility was great. Only issue was with the acoustics in the room. A microphone would have been very helpful so that the group of 40 could hear the speaker.

A favorite motorcycle ride destination, especially on Sundays for their fried chicken plates. After eating go relax by the creek and relax listening to creek and chatting with other patrons. Great little place!

The atmosphere is about the same as it was when this place was Mason's Restaurant. The menu is much smaller and quite honestly not as good and the prices are a bit higher, but the sentiment of going here is similar. I travel in from St. Louis for a date night every once in a while after finding it one day after going to Eckerts. If there were more options on the menu I'd probably give a 4 or 5 star, but I still won't give up my favorite place to spend some time.

The meal was delicious but it took us awhile to get served. Another couple had left while we waited because they had waited 20 minutes with no service. We had been one other time and the service was better then.

Packed full of people, not one person had on a mask, not even staff. We walked in to order with masks on & were ignored by staff. We had to stop someone walking by & ask if someone could take our order. We went out to the picnic tables by the creek & waited for over an hour for our food. Food was just ok. Service was not great, we had to carry big trays & drinks while trying to squeeze past people & open a door because no staff would help. Bring bug spray because the mosquitos were terrible.

My wife and I stopped here for a bite to eat after doing some shopping at the stores in town. It was very unfriendly and a bit passive aggressive. We walked in and the place was moderately busy. No one here wore mask and social distancing was nearly non existent. That is in stark contrast to the other businesses we visited.The staff completely ignored us, one of them on purpose serving people who came in behind us that seemed like locals. We were almost to the point of telling them no thanks and leaving before one that had been busy at tables finally decided to acknowledge we existed. Half way through us giving our order she just walks off to take care of customers at the table behind us.We waited out by the creek...for 45 minutes after lunch rush for two burgers with cheese and canned mushrooms and freezer fries. We were buzzed to come get our food finally. I go in and she hands me the food and i have to set the plates down on a table to open the door and go out. Luckily another patron offered to close the door because i wasnt going too. The significance of this is when we came in to order, it was far busier and the waitress offered to " get the door" for the person she was waiting on when we entered. Yet she was less busy when i picked up my food and didnt even consider opening the door for me forcing me to try to not spill my food and open the door both.The food was cold like it had been sitting at least 15 or 20 minutes. The final straw that really did it for me is that as we were leaving the waitress brought another couple food out to the creek literally 5 minutes after i got mine. So it takes 45 minutes for me to get my food and i have to go retrieve it but they do 5 min creekside for another local couple? Got it! we gave a 15% tip so we could be ignored at the counter and have to serve ourselves? Awesome!I actually feel like this is because we wore masks in the business. I cant think of any other reason why they would act like this. If you are from out of town, id probably just drive back to Waterloo for your food especially if you value your health.

We order lunch at least twice a month or more and have tried almost everything on menu and we love it!! Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere inside and out!!

We went on a Friday nite and the place was pretty busy. Not one person had a mask on, not even a staff member. When we came in (with a mask on) everyone took notice of us. We stood and waited to order, noone acknowledged us, so when we finally got someone's attention they took our order. We watched the people in kitchen work with NO gloves and NO masks. We immediately went to the creek area where we waited for at least an hour for our food. When we finally got our food it was OK but we already had a bad taste in our mouth. I think the locals are very well known and are treated as such!!!
